I like some horror movies. I absolutely hate films with violence and gore and torture and people suffering, and refuse to watch that stuff. But I love like mysterious and suspenseful kind of horror movies.

I loved Signs, and I also really liked The Blair Witch Project. Everyone hates that one but I liked it : p I like horror movies when theyre like really spooky and mysterious.

We are still experiencing cooler weather where I live in Missouri because of thunder storms. I didn't get much sleep last night because of a severe thunder storm. We even had a tornado warning on Wednesday night!
Dan- lucky you lol... It's Gonna be muggy and wet here for us... No more cooler weather.. But that's ok. It was nice while it lasted! You got our storms that came though, and as always... You get it worse than we do lol... But I'm more excited about snow!!'

C'mon winter, hurry it up already!

I like those kind of movies too. I think I saw signs but never Blair Witch Project, it was such a popular movie when it came out.

It's supposed to be a beautiful day here in my little corner of Pennsylvania. I'm grateful to God for that. In just a couple of short months we will have snow again. I don't hate snow, although I admit it can be a time consuming chore when we get a lot of it, but it can be beautiful too.

I mean, the criticisms of the film are true, it is just young people freaking out about being lost in some scary woods : p But its way cool, if I were them I would have been scared, too : p If you like movies that lack jump scares but are really mysterious, where you never really know whats going on, then youd like it : p I thought it was really neat.

I had a lot of friends that liked it . A lot of them liked they way they filmed it. I saw previews and I knew the camera would be to shaky for me to enjoy it, I get very dizzy so I didn't think I'd be able to really enjoy it.

The first, The Bad Seed movie they made in the fifties, is one of my all time favorite movies. It was originally a play and you can tell how they shot of the scenes that it sort of still has that ambiance to it. But the story is very good and the little girl, Rhoda, played by Patty McCormick was excellent. The woman who played her Mother was very good too. It's a really good suspenseful movie.

I have seen Signs, but that was a long long time ago. Those were the crop circles right? I liked it, though I didn't know it was horror. Interstellar gave me the same feels. I was very interested in mystery/thriller and horror when I was younger (I was also in to zodiac, cults and black magic then, before I became a Christian). Not so much now, cause I have a very active imagination... and it took me an awfully long time to get used to sleeping alone and with the lights off. I have heard of The Blair Witch Project but that was when I quit watching horror altogether. I do know the story cause mom has seen it and retold the entire movie for me.

Funny whenever I hear the song 'Hard to say I'm sorry' by Chicago, BWP always comes to mind (that was the music playing when mom was telling me the story lol).

There's one movie I've always wanted to see though, but never got a chance to and probably never will until I stop sleeping alone lol, Shutter Island.

Shutter Island was the one with Leonardo DiCaprio right? I really liked that one, you should totally watch it.

I seem to always like everything he does for some reason. I guess Id call him my favorite actor just because of that : p I havent seen a film of his I didnt like yet.

Yes, with Leo. Yeah his movies are great which was why I wanted to watch it. Maybe if I can invite a friend over, I'll watch it. I have seen most of his movies, except that, and Titanic... which (I think) is kinda overrated anyway.. so that can wait lol.

EDIT: I have not seen the Revenant.

Went to a yard sale up the street from me, and spent .50 cents on a small stuffed orange kitty and a cat puzzle that says "Believe in yourself!" on it. And I even found a lucky penny on the ground there. :)

I found out yesterday how my upstairs neighbor Aldo died. I talked to his sister yesterday and she said he wasn't taking his diabetes meds like he was supposed to, and apparently his TV fell off the TV stand, and he went to pick it up, somehow hit or tripped on the stand, fell and hit his head. :( He was a major hoarder and they threw out all his stuff, TWO DUMPSTERS FULL, plus stuff on top of, in front of, and beside of the dumpster. They aren't having a funeral for him, but the family is going to get together and talk about Aldo and have food and stuff. His sister is going to let me know when it is, because she invited me and Denise to come. I'm gonna miss Aldo, he was such a nice person.

Denise (my neighbor across the hall) has been so rude and inappropriate to the family since Aldo died. Aldo was buying some knives from her, and for some reason she let him take them before they were fully paid for. Anyhoo, after she found out he died, she immediately said "that's $45 I'll never get from him". She said that to me, not the family. What she said to the family was even worse, IMO. She had the chutzpah to ask them to give her the knives back if they found them. Even after I told her not to bother them with such a petty thing, she still went upstairs and asked them anyway. Then all week she beached and complained about losing her knives, and how Aldo's family lied to her when they said they would look for the knives.

I told her that it's not THEIR responsibility to look for and return her stuff, and that their minds are on much more important things right now. Denise is very greedy and selfish when it comes to money. I never realized how truly selfish she is, until this happened. What she did was rude, tacky, selfish, inappropriate and greedy. And I feel like smacking the stupid out of her..lol.. I am shocked and appalled by her behavior regarding her knives. I was hoping she wouldn't get any of them back, but she did retrieve one from the dumpster. YES, she went dumpster diving to look for them. :/

Anyhoo, I can only hope that when Aldo fell, it killed him instantly. I'd hate to think he laid there and suffered. They had to air out his apartment, because he was up there dead for 2 days before the cops got called to do a welfare check, and found him.. Please pray for his family, especially his sister. They're having a rough time dealing with how he died.
