Anyone that consider themselves a Christian, and supports a politician, through voting or finances, who is—among other godless things, in favor of abortion, gay rights, or same sex marriage, will some day be judged for doing that. I pause here to stress a very important subject. As Christians, we should constantly perform a self-test to evaluate our relationship with Christ. I know of no better subject, except perhaps abortion, to determine if we have the spirit of Christ living in us than our attitude toward homosexuality. Homosexuality is an abomination to God, and as Christians, we cannot view it otherwise. As Christians, we should never accept that which God does not accept. Furthermore, as God has compassion for all sinners, which includes all of us, we should do the same. Where would any of us be without compassion from a loving God? We will all be judged, and rendering judgment on others, is not for us to do. All people are God’s creation, but we are not all God's children; if we were, Satan would be childless. Nevertheless, none of us will escape reaping what we sow. I do not understand the homosexual lifestyle, but it was not created this century. It brought destruction to Sodom and Gomorrah thousands of years ago and America is approaching the precipice of of the same judgement. The following verses expose the first case of wheeling and dealing in the Bible.Abraham is attempting to persuade God not to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah:
And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes. And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes: Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it. And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake. And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there. And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake. And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake. And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.
— Genesis 18:23-33
That is a wonderful passage. Abraham is trying to bargain with God. Abraham was careful not to overstep his bounds, but, at the same time, he was nudging God a little. Of course, from the onset, God knew Abraham would not find ten righteous people. Sodom and Gomorrah brought God’s wrath upon themselves, and after God sent Angels to rescue Lot, Abraham’s nephew and his family, he erased Sodom and Gomorrah from the face of the Earth. God will not tolerate wickedness. Sodom and Gomorra did not get away with it, and, neither will America. God knows the future of America and we can attempt to bargan our way out of His judgement, but it will not change His mind.
Christian principles are meaningless unless they are defended and uncompromised. We cannot justify abandoning our Christian principles to support the lesser of two evils among politicians. God is going to decide who rules America; he also is going to decide our fate based on our adherence to his word. Republican politicians fail to realize that without the support of true Christians, they will not regain power. Moreover, they should not get support from true Christians unless they share their Christian principles. I will leave you with a serious matter to ponder: Do not jeopardize your relationship with God by becoming overly involved in worldly things and ignoring his word.
