Are you admitting you are possibly wrong? Or suggesting that the only possibility is that we are wrong? Hmmm, choices, choices. I will go with suggestion number two. You think the only possibility is that we are wrong. Still, you have given a total of zero Scriptures to support your view. That rates another, hmmm.
I am admitting that I highly disagree with most everything you have said to me.

No, I didn't. I've been a Christian for as long as I can remember and I've read widely. I also have Holy Spirit.
What measure of the Holy Spirit did God give to you?

And after all this time, still zero Scriptures to support your disagreeable stance.

Could be my layman's understanding of scripture at work (Martin Luther thought polygamy was Biblically permissible), but I think if God had meant for a man to have multiple wives, he would have taken a few more pieces of rib out of Adam.

He would also have made your average man of sterner stuff. :p

Many wives would be high maintenance on the husbands part..... Personally I'd call that a Big Problem.... I would also never be in the haram as I don't play/share well with others when it comes to husband....

God did not want his people to take a King. They whined like babies. The Lord said OK you want it? you got it! Here are the rules that go along with your desire that I said you shouldn't yield to.

God did not want slavery. The people wanted it anyway. The Lord said OK, you want it? you got it! Here are the rules that go along with your desire that I didn't ordain.

God wanted ONE man, ONE wife. The men desired more. The Lord said OK, you want it? you got it! Here are the rules that go along with your desire that I didn't ordain.

So yep, there will always be those trying to find technicalities to justify their desires that run counter to what God wants.
You need to add in there that God did not want no divorce. In fact it is written...
Mark 10:9
What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

So, the man doesn't commit adultery?

Interesting how Jesus said that if a man lusts after a woman, he already committed adultery.

Ah but a man with multiple partners is ok. But if a woman has multiple partners, she's a whore. Right. Ok.
I've heard there are men whores too....

That's another thing, women are not hardwired to share. That is one of the beautiful things about the fairer sex.

It can also drive you insane as a man if he is not on the same page in the dating process. :p

I really think we should re-introduce "lech" into our vocabulary.

Such a nice little Victorian term and it puts both sexes on the same playing field.

What I have posted is on the thread. I posted the scriptures.
I have shown the falseness of what you gave. There was nothing in the one Scripture you provided to show that polygamy was being prescribed. That is what has been requested of you multiple times now, and ignored by you and those who stand with you. We are not looking for descriptions of polygamy. Descriptions of men sinning are all throughout Scripture and in no way proves that is what God wants us to do!

I'm a little to tired at the moment to go into some intense spiritual research, but everything conceptual and contextual seems to indicate monogamy was the Lord's best plan for mankind.

I suppose you can make a cultural argument of some kind based in the OT, but I just don't see how it holds water given how long-suffering the Lord was with so many of Israel's sins.

Yeah, but he also called David a man after His own heart. And we all know how...busy David was.

That last sentence she wrote was pretty dead on.

I have not read your posts, so until I have I'm unavailable for comment. :p

Still no Scriptures to support your view. Just your opinion, bent to your crooked will.

I mean, if someone cannot agree that there are examples of sin in scripture that are in no way prescriptive for the believer's conduct, I do question the validity of their exegesis.

I'll still give it a fair shot, but wow.

Tell me I am without knowledge concerning this...
How did you all become experts on what is written in the bible?
To the point you are always right?
there is no such thing as an expert of what is written in the bible but to answer your question the answer is simple, one must listen to the holy spirits voice
