We would have to start at the beginning where the laws that govern godly relationships are first shown as two equaling one.
From the beginning before the fall God designed man to represent his own self as a husband for a bride.

Because of the fall like many things he gave man over to do what he should not for a season it includes multiple wives .
Just like having a visible person reigning from a throne on earth .They rejected Him as King of kings because of their jealously for the surrounding pagan nations of the word that walked by sight.
He gave them over to do what they should not of. He restored what he gave the Jews over to do which they should not of at the time of the first century reformation. A topic that has become in most cases a Taboo today.
Because of the reformation and the restoring to the period of the judges we know known man after the flesh. therefore as a new creation no longer of the flesh, Christians are considered neither Jew nor Gentile , male of female to reflect our new promised incorruptible bodies. And like the angels no way to procreate new persons.
Women who hold the awesome outward responsibility to represent the bride of Christ which is made up of two (male and female) which will be one new creation. Are to submit to their husband as if they were responding to the love of Christ not seen. In that sense she represents the whole church and the husband the unseen head Christ.
This is where men in general are moved more by that which is seen and woman the unseen love we should be drawing them closer to God as we wash them with the water of the word.
The standard in the garden remains. One creation, working as two. The let us . Not the let us ,two hundred or two thousand gods

I think Proverb 31 that uses a female entity could represent a marriage relationship with an man and a woman working together as one bride in the end of the matter .What applies to a woman in that verse also applies to men and our husband Christ. She (male and female) represent the whole church (both)in that way .
It is why in a assembly she is to be quiet. Its her husband the spokes person who represents Christ, unseen, the head.
Satan knew that and is why he first sought to deceive the woman. The one who represented both.

As for committing incest, it is only wrong (i.e. sinful) if God forbids it. He did not forbid it until the Mosaic Law, several thousand years after Adam and Eve.

This is one example of taking the word out of context to justify false teaching. If you going to read it ,it talks about how the Godhead cannot be compare to any vessels that is man made. Ignorance as to who is tge true God.

Brothers & sisters, I wasn't going to comment anymore but the Lord placed something on my heart, thanks to my son's precious fiancé. A few pages back she questioned why someone would think it's ok for men to have many wives but wrong for women to have many husbands.
So I've been meditating on that and asking the Lord to reveal the truth. I have to admit that there is no specific scripture that says it's wrong for a woman to have many husbands. Or that being judged a whore by society has any bearing on being a chosen, faithful follower of God.
Rahab was a harlot and is listed in the hall of fame of faithful believers in the book of Hebrews. She was used of God while she was an active prostitute, making money to take care of her family. How do you justify that intellectually?
And the Samaritan woman at the well had five husbands plus a live-in lover and Jesus revealed himself to her without shaming or criticizing her at all. She alone evangelized her town for the Lord Jesus Christ.. yes, a woman with 5 husbands and a lover was an evangelist. How does that add up in the intellectual mind?
Also the woman caught in the act of adultery, she was judged by the law of Moses to be stoned by religious men. Except Jesus didn't condemn her. In fact, he did quite the opposite. Jesus' mercy and love were glorified through this woman and shamed the men who thought they were holier than she. She was publicly declared innocent while the self-righteous hypocrites were proven deceitful liars. How do you reason that carnally?
We'd have a hard time convincing Jesus Christ that these women weren't holy vessels just as they were and in the circumstances from which God called them. There's no getting around it intellectually. These were holy women.
I'm writing this for the benefit of those sincere Christians who may have been left befuddled by this imposter who is not mindful of the things of God, but the things of man. We know that God gets the glory for what he accomplished through these women. They were holy because of God. Not because of anything they did or did not do.
Yes, even with having many husbands, or running a brothel or having an affair with someone else's husband, God will use whomever he chooses. Because we know that once God gets a hold of our hearts, we become new creatures in him. All things pass away and everything becomes new. God gets all the glory.

No, they did not.
Abraham, Jacob, Moses, David, Solomon and many others hade more than one wife and God had no problem with it as long as they were taking care about them properly.
There is no verse in the OT that forbids to have more wifes.
I think that the civil law of country you are living in should be more important to you than OT, however, because NT says we are to submit to authorities.
Deuteronomy 17:17, which came long before David or Solomon, says exactly that. Plus 1kings 11:3,4. Also.
I can see how many years ago when nations were at war and most the men would be killed, the survivors would have a duty to take on several women who would otherwise perish to poverty. I can see how that could be the situation in the future too. Polygamy may not be a sin, but anything that separates us from God is a sin, and polygamy isn't prudent now. I've seen these shows about these cults that operate in the name of God where old men marry many 12 year old girls claiming to be building a kingdom for God. They ain't nothing but a pervert sex cult. So until most the men are killed off in some catastrophic event, I'll stick with one wife.

No, this is not forbidding to have more than one wife. Like it is not saying you must not have more than one gold coin. It only says king should not have too many/much of it.
Well if you can marry every woman you patronize in the brothel.otherwise that is n lust and if married adultery.
