What is your reason, or why do you think it's so difficult for people to do??

Also, is there a way to make it easier???

I have my own reasons: Fear of rejection, and... uh.. fear of rejection.. :p

Inquiring minds want to know..
And for the record.. (Since I didn't answer the OP's question at the start) I WOULD tell the guy I like him.. NOW if I was single lol. I'm shy at first, but I'm sure most of you all know this by now lol.

It's the fact that we don't have the courage to speak what we want too right then and there.. and wind up beating around the bush till it's too late. And yes I've been in that situation myself. It sucks. But it is what it is.

i don't know how to flirt.

lol.
Me neither, so I'm just genuine and honest and that tends to get me the #1 spot in the friend zone. And long may I reign as queen of the friend zone and bless many with my benevolent rule (or something like that, I'm pretty pro friendship and all).

Ok, I feel like I'm learning here...

How blunt does one have to be? I mean...is "You're adorable and I really enjoy your company"...enough? Or does it have to be more like..." Hey, I am interested in dating you...you game?"...

How blunt does a woman have to be? I had no idea this was a common thing. I'm pondering so many things right now.

Any questions?

That, and people should be mind reader's. They should know when the other one is dropping hints.
I remember somebody dropping a hint but it was so subtle i needed an instrument to pick it up. In my experience it would appear that guys were more likely to miss the hint altogether, "What a nice lady! She made me this great meatloaf" and some ladies I knew were super sensitive and could pick up hints that the poor guy didnt know he dropped.

I think it would be great if more women saw that as confirmation that a guy is interested, but I've found that many women simply take that as the guy just trying to be freinds..

I cant speak for all women but as a single woman I was pretty stupid as far as attraction. My now husband was interested in me and I saw zero signs. I was talking to him one day about a guy who had dumped me in a nasty way, talking about the jerk again. My hubby said to me "hey,I dont want to hear about who you dated in your past! Im tired of hearing it. Im interested in dating you and I dont want to hear about this guy anymore!" If he'd slapped me I wouldn't have been more surprised. I told him I was surprised. He said "why do you think I want to talk to you everyday and spend hours to find pictures of roses to email you {rose is my middle name}." So ya,totally missed it.

I'll go one step further in regards to my stupidity. We had gone out together several times and I was saying goodnight one evening and leaving his car. He put out his hand and I shook it. I shook it! He was planning to kiss my hand. Then he moved in to kissed my cheek and totally missed. We still laugh about it. Luckily we didn't judge each other on the first kiss,or miss. He says "why would I want to shake your hand?! how did you not know I was going to kiss you?" I'm really good at reading people, unless it involves love, totally stupid. lol

This is a hint I might be able to pick up on. Given my luck, the gal swinging the club has 50 cats and listens to nothing but K-Pop 24/7. Relationship outlook not good.

Just learn to stomach cat food and wear earplugs all of the time and you'll be fine. Who wouldn't want someone who can defend herself? So what if it's a bit weird that she knocked out a home intruder with her club while dancing like Psy? It just gives me more time alone with my Fancy Feast.

If she could tolerate me spending hours very late in the evenings running dungeons in video games trying to farm the best gear and maximizing my skills for max DPS...and my love of overly processed, overly salted, canned, meat products...we might have something special.

It's way too easy to just tell someone but you run the risk of being rejected. But it's a lot more fun when you beat around the bush sometimes. Especially when women do it. A woman is a riddle wrapped in mystery inside an enigma. Let's see a guy figure that one out.

If you chase after God like you chase after love, He will give you a love you w won't have to chase after.

I'm thankful I found the courage to live authentically and just walk away from all this confusing dating a relationship stuff. It's so confusing. It's confusing to people who are interested in doing it. It's a trillion times more confusing to people who are doing it to keep up social appearances.

My dog loves me. When he wants attention, he makes it known. Doberman Pinschers have that ability.
That is why honesty and straight forward communication is soooooo important.
This, as I mentioned earlier in this thread, is why I am in a relationship....

I agree wholeheartedly. This isn't about gender. This is about personality. I think it's easy to assign blame to gender because we understand the opposite gender less. I am a firm believer in no games. I don't like games. I don't think it's fair to make a guy guess what I want. If I want something, I should make my desires known. Not all women are like that and not all men are like that. It's a person to person thing.
Part of my "blunt and straightforward" dating style has been to make it clear that I won't play games.

I made it clear from the beginning with the (now) gf that, if I sensed games were being played, I was gone. She has felt the same about games.
