Watching yourself doing squats...I'd hate to see what I look like spinning.

Yes, a home gym. I built a squat rack out of 4x4's and 1" black iron pipe for the safety bars.

I used to go to snap fitness which was open 24hrs. I had a friend there that I would see once or twice a week and he had his degree in sports training.

When he found me I was doing squats up on the balls of my feet and could only manage about 185lbs. The day he straightened out my technique I immediately was able to squat 275, and then when I put a belt on it went to 315.

Plus a whole bunch of youtube videos by Alan Thrall, Eliot Hulse, Johnnie Candito, bodybuilding magazine and others that have been able to improve my technique and training and give me ideas on how and why to do certain exercises.

Let myself go over the last two months and am feeling the consequences. I was doing the best I have ever done with P90X. The Texas summers are brutal with heat and humidity. It's time I push away from the comfort zone and make the flesh pay. It's just not cooling down fast enough. Jones'n for a cold front.
Its cooling down up here.

Its supposed to freeze tonight.

I tried to do yoga once. It was kind of like a gorilla trying to do ballet.. :(
Yoga is boring to me. I'm more of the cardio and toning. Yoga is way too slow for me and I get bored within the first five minutes.

I love working out with weights mostly. Love hiking falls and mountain trails. We've got a few state parks outside of Nashville that I love to hike. What about you?
Working out with weights is one of my favorites.

I love to hike as well. There's this place my friends and I went to a couple years ago and we cliff jumped there. It was by far my favorite experience thus far.

How long have you been into fitness and what made you start doing it?

I enjoy cross fit, mainly when it comes to weights, my fiance (got engaged this weekend) is into running, lifting. I think it's important to work out with your partner, or at least share that in common.

My spinach went bad.

My life is officially ruined.
It hurts my heart to throw food away. I'll pour one out for your spinach, RIP.

I knew I couldn't consume all of my broccoli before it spoiled (going out of town later this week) so I blanched all of it earlier and froze most of it in Ziploc bags.
The biggest drawback to eating fresh is fighting spoilage, particularly if you live alone.

I have a meeting tonight at my place.

I have no time to make anything. I forgot to thaw out my chicken for my chicken salad tonight.

So, I have to cave in and get a slice of pizza :x :x :x

I just need a personal chef in my busy schedule. Any takers? I'll pay you with my Hulu and Netflix account ;)
