I think everyone should just stop. Everyone's getting all up on their high horses over difference of opinions.

I think this is a good conversation. It is real and organic. You have a buzzed up guy, participating on a christian forum about the evils of alcohol. And I'm pretty sure I even put a comma in the right place. Lol

No. Buzzed is tipsy.
Feeling buzzed is generally when that person hit that limit. Any after is where it falls into drunkenness in the Bible. Of course you have those that can drink a 12 pack and not feel anything. So there really will be no clear cut answer because there will always be an exception. Anyone in their right mind that try to rationalize drinking a 12 pack in one sitting has some issues, though.

Why do you judge me so harshly? This is an experiment that I decided to take. Just today a friend of mine told me that I am the most compassionate and kind person they know. So what you say is simply not true.
You sin to do an experiment? Smart!

No, no. The Sirk is normally cocky and some people can't hack his honesty.
Cockiness falls with pride, though, which is sin. Cockiness is different than confidence.

I think we have a conversation now and I am made out to be some kind of villain. I don't feel prideful. I feel like I am being unfairly judged.
Honestly Kris, I would rather be a drunk(My old life) than a self righteous prig who looks down on another sinner.

IMO, they are in a worse spot then the one who sits on a bar stool.

Is anyone else confused if Sirk is serious or joking about being buzzed?

Tipsy is DRUNK.

Before I let Christ save me from all kinds of addiction I spent a few nights in jail for dwi's. I had to do the classes and pay thousands in fines and lost my drivers license. I know what I am talking about! Call the police department and ask them.Better yet, go attend the classes. You wont be whistling the same tune

Thing is that we should feel compassion towards anyone who has any kind of addiction. It's not anything I've struggled with personally, but there's people I know who have, and I wonder after a while, if an addiction is even a choice anymore, or if the person just feels out of control by that point. That is where faith can break that, when nothing else can.

When I had my first ever beer as an 18 year old, I was buzzed. My usual amount for the following years was one or two. I sometimes have three, but no more. I know my limits. I know when I could start to get a little tipsy (it's happened a few times). Drinking in moderation is the key. And I only ever drink with family and friends. Not on my own.

Its a choice. Its also a choice to get help or ask the Lord to deliver us from the bondage.
