Water and grape juice.... Yes he did :) but never ever ever something with alcohol in it my dear sister because he would then be in contravention of the Old Testament and as we all agree he is the only one without sin :)

Jesus had not taken a nazerite vow, like Samson. drinking alcohol is not a sin. the old testament does not forbid it. the law in fact says this:

But if that place is too distant and you have been blessed by the Lord your God and cannot carry your tithe (because the place where the Lord will choose to put his Name is so far away), then exchange your tithe for silver, and take the silver with you and go to the place the Lord your God will choose. Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish. Then you and your household shall eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice.
(Deuteronomy 14:24-26)

the Law says if Jerusalem is too far, and you are too blessed, you can turn your tithe into silver, and turn that silver into strong drink, and drink it and rejoice before God. the Law says this is good.

you're nuts, Gandalf. too much shire-weed, i think.
you need to reconsider what you're saying, because it's wrong.

contravention of the Old Testament

I almost fell off my unicorn

you would have to INCLUDE fermented wine in order to EXCLUDE it

that part must be included in the fine print....:p

Please show scriptural evidence of that "fact"..... I'll wait.
You seem like a reasonable man.....I was hoping you could help me with this.....
I have a question for everyone..... Can you find drinking "grape juice" in the Bible? Numbers 6 is excluded fo it speaks of the Nazarite vow. NT scriptures speaking of wine presses are also excluded, for nobody's drinking in those verses. Use ANY serious Bible translation you like.
So far, nobody's answered it yet.

dear Stephen,

is this you ducking the fact that you got called out about the "
'new wine' = non-alcoholic" business by Acts 2:13-14, and trying to change the subject as though it never happened?

in a couple weeks will you be back to making the same claim? because i think i remember correcting you about it in the past.. ?

i just would like to know whether you have taken that to heart and actually learned something. because if not, what's the use of continuing with you? amiright?

P.S.
if this has to do with a veil on your heart, "i know A Guy"

I don't see "grape juice" mentioned anywhere in scripture. New wine is mentioned, because in order to have strong wine, it first must be new wine.

Usually, it seems, when drinking wine is mentioned, it indicates strong wine. I'm sure some people drank new wine, but I don't remember any scriptural reference to that having taken place.

Pharaoh's cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into Pharaoh's cup, and placed the cup in Pharaoh's hand.

This is a pretty good article on wine, and wine use as spoken of in scripture.
It's from Grace Communion International...

interesting, it says that a person COULD get drunk on new wine, if enough was consumed. Perhaps it means "partially fermented"...?

I guess His little nieces & nephews did too, the little social drinkers.....
Picking and choosing scriptures like a good little legalist with his head in the sand. No doubt baby Jesus never made poopy diapers either. Carry on.

Sorry, I didn't choose any scriptures. So that doesn't give you the right as a self-righteous judge to talk to me that way.

You'd be a much nicer person if you gave all your hatefullness & self-righteousness to the Lord.:)

Oh. It is in there. He just says we can't reference it because it destroy's his legalism.

That is why he says, "you can't use so and so verses as references."

Numbers 6:3~~New American Standard Bible
he shall abstain from wine and strong drink; he shall drink no vinegar, whether made from wine or strong drink, nor shall he drink any grape juice nor eat fresh or dried grapes.

and you would be better off to not try to make the Word make things say it does not say. like drinking is a sin. not in there. drunkenness yes. having a drink NO.
