Aren't you the cook?
Yeah, but I'm not the one who pays for the groceries or plans the meals. I get "strong suggestions" each day of what to fix for supper, and it is usually some variation of some unhealthy, oilfield/cowboy/white trash meal combining some fried fatty meat, a scant amount of vegetables, and entirely too much spice to allow a man who smoked for 50 years and blew out his tastebuds to taste it.

My diet would be much more successful if I could run an occasional piece of baked fish, some steamed vegetables, or some kind of ground meat that isn't 27% fat content across the dinner plate. Instead of getting eat a healthy meal and get full, I instead get to eat fattening garbage and restrict my portion size so I am not downing 1500 calories, 100+ grams of fat and 200% of my daily sodium allowance in one sitting. Don't get me wrong, I love my cheat days where I can eat something naughty, but I've had this 50+ pounds of fat on my mid section so long it's become a source of shame for me and I want to get back to looking like something more than a gob of chewing gum.

Yesterday at work a little girl walked up to me and said, "I had a lollipop once, but I dropped it."
I just thought you all should know about this incredibly sad story.
Prayers for this little girl and her lost lollipop.

What happens when you realize you don't want to live in a world where people are in so much pain that they will do anything to get out of it?

Once in a great while I will read a passage that jumps out at me and worms it's way into my head enough to make me ponder on it. I don't know why that happens.

No, I'm not going to pray about it and expect God to answer me. I know how worthless and insignificant I am and I'm not going to bother the good Lord with my stupid questions.

I get to spend my saturday morning walking to work for an hour meeting, then walking back home : p

Its not bad though, I enjoy mornings a ton, its for real my favorite time of day. I get to listen to music and enjoy the scenery, and then I get to laze on our furniture and eat a donut while our managers give us a pep talk, haha : p

It is entirely too early in the morning for me to want to get my day started. No coffee is going to be a tough go this morning.
