I actually want to write a post or a thread or something about the level of insensitivity in american society these days. Its off the charts. Maybe I will, maybe I won't... I will know when I'm less busy I guess lol. Or someone else could do it...
I wouldn't say insensitivity, I'd say oversensitivity. It's quite annoying. Everyone is offended by something.
My mother-in-law actually had quite a bit to say about the subject, when I was at a meeting with her. She said that in a world where everyone is so "offendable", we, as Christians, need to get to a point in our lives where we are "unoffendable". I agree with her. What part of being offended, is Christ-like?

You're referring to being oversensitive or being offended at things directed at us personally. And in that regard, I agree with you. We should learn to forgive our "enemies" and bless & love them. I see a lot of people doing just that.
As for the insensitivity ZT is talking about, that should be addressed.
