Back in 2004, when President George W. Bush defeated John Kerry, Senator from Massachusetts and U.S. Secretary of State, I was completely heartbroken. I honestly believed Kerry represented better family values and portrayed more honesty and integrity than did GW. Nevertheless, rather than give up hope altogether, I got involved in community service and became an advocate for people who didn’t have a voice. Little did I know at that time how doing so would change my life and inspire the lives of others.

I did not vote for Hillary Clinton because of her abortion stance. But I was moved listening to her concession speech this morning. She graciously stated, "Our constitutional democracy enshrines the peaceful transfer of power and we don't just respect that, we cherish it. It also enshrines other things: the rule of law, the principle that we are equal in rights and dignity, freedom of worship and expression. We respect and cherish these values too and we must defend them."

Hillary did not throw her hands up in despair or bitterness, but instead inspired those who supported her to get involved with public service and fight for what they believe. CNN reported how Clinton finds strength in her religious faith and in the inspiration of her mother who always encouraged her daughter to get back up when she fell down. We all can find strength in our faith in Jesus Christ and in our own parents’ words.

The election may be over, but hope has not been defeated for those who voted for Hillary. We are still one nation under God and there is work to be done. Bitterness, despair and hate should not be on our country’s agenda.

As John F. Kennedy said in his inaugural speech in 1961, “And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”

And as Hillary Clinton advised in her concession speech, we should each get involved in public service in order to make a change. Every one of us can still make a difference. I believe it begins and ends with Jesus’ words, “Love your neighbor.”
Hillary was gracious in conceding in what was an unexpected heartbreaking loss for her. I was most impressed. It is now time to move forward.

I feel the same way and it's most refreshing.
Just want to join in a moment of politics. Im glad he won. Pray for those in authority over you. Now Im done with it but although debates could be nasty, prayer and fasting for someone shows a lot of love that's why I love you so much,in the Lord.

I'm sorry ..I wish Hillary was a Christian ..but she is clearly not and if you judge her by those around her and those she associated with on a daily basis? You have to assume she is in fact a Satanist .. now I don't want to go into all the evidence against her... but please don't try to deceive people about who this woman is.
Hey, Mitspa!! You're back. I wondered what happened to you. *hugs*

No my dear, you misunderstood my post. My sister and I vowed not to stop praying and interceding every day for God to put someone in office who would protect the rights of the unborn.

I was not giving Hillary Clinton a recommendation. On the contrary, I was against her winning the presidency. My point was directed to our brothers and sisters in Christ who supported her and feel a great loss. I was just reminding them what she stated in her concession speech to those who rallied for her. I was hoping to encourage them that there is still work to do and that doesn't need to stop, do you know what I mean? We are still one family in God.

And thank goodness for laura_charlotte once again jumping at the opportunity to agree with someone she thinks is contradicting me. Otherwise, I might have missed the chance to explain my comment to Mitspa.

Again brother, so glad to have you back! :D

Google's results show Clinton getting the popular vote, 48% (59,814,018) vs Trumps 47% (59,611,678). So far.

Those of us who manage to see through her and can read between the lines and see an act for what it is - a total show - aren't swayed or deceived in the least.
Laura_charlotte, while someone else might find it flattering that you are obsessed with everything they post, I find it more than creepy that you can't help but follow me around the forums. I do appreciate that you have ceased from criticizing me directly. But it's just as bad, if not even creepier, that you are continuing to find contradiction with me via other people's comments to my posts.

This thread has been going on for over a week and you've had nothing to say on the matter. I come in and post a comment, and suddenly you pop on here to take a portion of Mitpa's full comment to insinuate that I'm deceiving people and that you, on the other hand, have perfectly clear vision as to what's going on in our U.S. government from waaaay over there in Australia. :p

I have asked you numerous times now in several different threads to please stop following me around looking for any opportunity to make attempts to discredit me. If you'd like to resolve whatever it is you're so angry about, I'm all for that. But you lurking around my posts and making digs at me is getting too obvious and extremely ridiculous. Stop it!

Its a constitutional republic ...with each State having its power as a state within the union .. Hillary got beat like a drum according to our system ..had it been a popular vote system? Trump could have and would have easily won that type of campaign ...Republicans have complete control of our government ..if HRC and Obama was so popular, that would never have happened.

The USPS didn't throw away enough absentee Trump ballots.

Funny how all these Berners are all upset about Trump winning a honest election, but did nothing when Hillary stole the election from Bernie ?

That's to be expected. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Precisely why I hand delivered mine.
My stupid state went to Hillary anyway (no big surprise there). AND...now we have to pay 10 cents for a re-useable plastic bag at the store if we want to use a bag. They banned free plastic bags!

I just went to walmart and the stupid law is already in efffect!

We have been paying five cents for a bag for quite some time but some places also minus five cents if you bring your own bag... recycling looks better when you save money doing it :D:p:D Some stores have even outlawed plastic bags completely but paper bags don't work quite as well for garbage disposal

Does anyone besides me find it strange that there were so many "absentee" ballots that had to be counted at the last minute? I freely admit I don't know all the rules for absentee voting, but I thought there was a cutoff time for getting them in.... sometime before Nov 8th? If so, why were they not already counted and recorded?

I think Trump was brilliant, stating publicly that he was ready to file the lawsuit for voter fraud on absentee ballots, based on the woman's affidavit about what she witnessed at her polling place. I think you call that a pre-emptive strike.
