I'm not a fan of Alpha myself...depends on who is teaching the course I guess
The study I linked to in Post #9 is not part of the well established Alpha course, it is simply called an "Alpha Course Study..." because it deals with the Baptism in the Holy Spirit in a very basic form...
this is exactly why I rarely even enter these discussions. One cannot say what they want to say without attacks from the other side. It's rather discouraging.well perhaps you can meet and have tea or something together
are you her lawyer? why do feel you have the need to tell me this? you think I don't know?
she isn't discussing...she is mocking and degrading...the other day we were all demonic according to her
you are doing EXACTLY what you say I should not do
Roger does not believe either and I expect to see him on every thread about it....but he reflects his beliefs with scripture
very big difference
speaking as a true preterist
folks...maybe you should check up on preterism before taking zone's posts too seriously
she thinks there is basically nothing left to fulfill
understand, that preterists do NOT believe as most of us here do
so, let's just be honest about that
preterist away...we have nothing to discuss and mockery seems to be more your thing than mine
I was wondering what the bee in your bonnet was...why so angry and mocking...
well, relief is at hand...my last post to you..and yes yes...you are glad etc etc etc...whatevah
carry on

I don't personally find others demonic for not agreeing, but I do feel it's important to study both sides to see why one may or may not follow scripture. Unfortunately, interpretation is always different. I'm sorry I upset you. I just wish everyone could discuss certain topics kindly. Without insults. Not saying you do this. But people in general.

We see Jesus laying His hands on children as well as for administering healing in some cases.
i didnt say anyone was "demonic for not agreeing".
I said jabbering in nonsense and calling it prayer, or uttering false prophecies and the like is demonic and it is.
Thats the reason I left the Pentecostal church, they believe a person didn't get saved unless they spoke In tongues. Why are some churches (personal experience) teaching people, to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (gift of divers tongues) is simply repeating certain word phases quickly to receive their Baptism.........this is not of faith and I personally believe dangerous to the person seeking the Baptism. Where is the faith? : Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Its mind boggling.
its not demonic zone, the Spirit is sending the Father a fax, when we open our mouth its like picking up the phone lol
oh man...if you're doing that stuff, you are going to be so sorry for it.
it's entirely false and from satan.
Pentecostalism is the ancient heresy of Montanism revived

Do a lot of Pentecostal churches believe that? I have been in a few of them and never heard this taught but than again I was in Canada.
I have seen from Holiness Pentecostal churches with their hair in a bun and they looked like they were baptized in lemon juice - sour looking...lol But I knew nothing of their doctrines.
the Pentecostal church has grown up recently, the bible college i got to is Pentecostal and they actually have a class on the false beliefs from some Pentecostal churches.
OK....thanks for the info. Personally I speak in tongues a lot but most of the people I have seen were baby Christians and were not developed in their speaking.
I love to have my spirit speak mysteries to my Father and Lord. You can be beside me in a church service and never hear me speaking to my Lord in tongues. I even speak in tongues quietly when I play sports - it calms me down..lol
When I hear people say that tongues is not for today - I just shrug it off and consider that statement as viable as when an atheist says to me that Jesus is not real - I say - too late! I know Him already.....I just leave these types in the Lord's hands....![]()
I don't really know If they all believe this way but the two that I went to believed that a person that doesn't speak In tongues didn't get saved.Do a lot of Pentecostal churches believe that? I have been in a few of them and never heard this taught but than again I was in Canada.

BTW,I do believe In speaking In tongues but I don't believe It Is required before the person Is saved.
John 3:16
