The only people those posters were aiming to appease in those comments were themselves and any audience who 'snorts' with them. To use your standards, by no stretch of the imagination is that speaking the truth in love. Unfortunately, those are just two examples in this thread of everything that is wrong with trying to reach someone who is lost on such an issue as homosexuality, it's just alienating to the confused soul and doesn't glorify God in the least.
You cannot tell truth to someone who knows it, but refuses to hear it. You can lead a horse to water, but it's the horse's decision as to whether they drink or not..

If anyone in the wider audience is struggling with homosexuality, Zone, wanderer6059, lv2ski, Susanna and JesusLives, had some fantastic takes on the matter that cast light on causes of and how it can be resolved. From past trauma to primary attachment figures, they gave insight and empathy to those lost on their walk with Christ. While you won’t count on a Christian, substantive reception from everyone, if you go further you will find those with compassion and understanding who believe you want to change and can.

What is so bad is inserting the male membrum virile into the posterior orifice of another man, etc. We really have to picture what is actually done to perceive the evil, which I would like to describe in more detail, but I suspect that I would be censored for being graphic. Yet graphic things are ubiquitous all over the internet & really this topic needs discussion in graphic, frank, anatomical detail. Parts of the anatomy are not sinful -- and IMHO we cannot afford to be prudish on this topic without giving away the argument.

Aside from the physical abuse involved in men-lying-with-men, there is the judgment of God.
This practice may arise from men refusing to have God in their consciousness (Romans 1). But whatever leads to this perversion, Leviticus 18 tells us that men-lying-with-men is so serious a sin that it leads to the Lord ejecting a people from their land; the land vomits out the people. Now Lev 18 is in the Law of Moses, but it applies universally even to the Church age, because the grounds given for Israel to not do this abomination, is that God ejected peoples before Israel from the land of Canaan for the sin of sodomy. Thus the commandment is not just God's will for Israel, but applies in general to man.
And BTW, in view of our current abomination in the USA of baby-murder by the millions, even to the point of birth, by fiendish doctors in abortion mills, we are ripe for judgment; innocent blood cries to the Lord for vengeance from the ground as it were. Moreover. our Oligarchy SCOTUS (not the people voting, not our Republic legislatures voting) first threw out the state laws against sodomy and now has blessed sodomite marriage. Christians refusing to bake cakes are persecuted. Sodomite "married partners" will be getting benefits from taxpayers through the military, who will also pay for supposed sex changes. Sodomy is destroying our country. We can't even afford it financially. How do we have an effective army when its budget goes for sodomite benefits? Social security payments will go to sodomite partners.
So what do we see in our country. Despite Trump & his wall, despite an army at the border, we may continue to be overrun by illegal intruders, aliens into our nation, who can vote in our elections (thanks to courts forbidding ID & to Obama's encouragement). It may well be that this Hispanic immigration (generally opposed to baby-murder) will supplant the abominable Euro-Americans who run a baby-murder & sodomy nation.
So what is the harm of sodomy? Physical harm, spiritual harm, ejection from our land harm.
What nation in history was ever so blessed by God, to turn around & spit in His face & adopt the religion of Molech?
Is there any hope? We could try praying for Donald Trump, Congress, the SCOTUS & the rest of the govt.
All the judges who have legislated from the bench to bless sodomy, inventing their own laws, ought to be impeached in mass. And at the moment some relief might come from new judge/justice appointments, but to do that requires destruction of the filibuster rule in the Senate. And will our spineless & shameful GOP senators all vote for that? We had needs pray.
I would love to see the new president be a King Jehu (of 2 Kings 9) who destroyed Baal worship, finding a way to impeach in mass the multitude of liberal judges from office. It is perhaps hopeful that the Lord sees and know that the people did not vote in Sodomy; we have an Oligarchy of unelected, virtually unremovable judges to blame for that. Wow Dude, thats great. But debating is a normal part of life, you see there will be others reading this thread. Not just you. And we should consider what theyll be thinking when they read this. Will a young, new Christian be lead away with claims such as "it doesnt hurt anybody", and "a God that hates people who arent hurting anybody is evil"?
Im sure youll ignore this post and skip past it, but theres a really good reason to NOT just let someone come here and put down the Word of God.
This was not a matter of someone who struggles with homosexuality and had questions about God. This was about someone who saw no problem with homosexuality, claimed to know the bible and put us down for believing in God.
Maybe you should read the entire thread and not just focus on a few posts you like. I understand the issue pretty well, Id think.
