That's just wrong. If an officer performs a traffic stop, and suspects the driver of being DUI, or having contraband, or weapons, the first thing they do is ask the driver to get out of the car.

And if a driver is refusing to cooperate with the simplest of requests from the officer, that is red flag #1. If they become belligerent on top of that, that's red flag #2.

When will people learn, if a police officer asks/tells you to do something... DO it. You may think it's silly to put out a cigarette, but DO it. The way you respond to an officer tells him/her LOTS of things about your condition and temperament... and level of sobriety/legality.
I agree. You should do what the officer tells you, even if it seems silly. You just dig yourself in a deeper hole refusing them. Despite a few crooked cops, the police normally have your best interest in mind.

None of us were present. A failure to signal, speeding, etc sometimes indicates other things in the making.
The video clearly shows what happened. When she refused to put out her cigarette that's when the officer got all RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH. That was when he asked her to exit the vehicle. It hurt his male ego that she wouldn't put out her cigarette and buckle beneath his authority. He had no good reason to ask her to exit the vehicle.

I never implied that she was a hero. Let me say this again. As a police officer you are going to encounter people who are belligerent and have an attitude. Your job as a professional is to de-escalate the situation. This officer did the exact opposite. The only reason he asked her to exit the vehicle is because his male ego was hurt when she wouldn't put out her cigarette. This officer was clearly on a power trip

Why would someone act belligerently toward a peace officer?

Getting back to the OP for a minute.... (What a strange thing to do. LOL)

I will say Obama can act "cool." I don't think I have ever seen him show the slightest bit of emotion over anything except for when he gets mad over personal things he fears will affect him.

But, unfortunately, due to my background in abnormal psychology, I recognize that as a sign of a possible Psychopathy.

There's just one simple rule to learn: Obey whatever the officer say, and file your complaints later on.

No, that's an attitude of a false sense of entitlement.
You hear her say in the video that she changed lanes to get out of the officers way because he was tailgating her. That's why she was irritated. He then asked her to put out her cigarette. You should be allowed to smoke in your own car. That's when he asked her to exit the vehicle.

He expressed outrage and sorrow multiple times over gun violence and mass shootings but no one listened to anything he had to say because everyone is too paranoid about losing their guns

It's more of what he didn't say during the race riots that I listened to.

When a person is displaying an attitude that is a red alert. That person could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Here's the thing....taking something away because people abused their use of the product is never ever ever the answer. In fact it makes them want to use them more. I remember being a kid and got grounded from Nintendo or watching TV, being told I couldn't watch it made me sneak in to watch it. I believe the same goes for guns, if government took them away it would make people want to rebel and we would have a worse problem on our hands then we do now

I don't know what he is allowed to, but if I was the one in charge, I'd say he wouldn't get to go to Burger King, nor anyplace else.

Big deal. I'm outraged and sorrowful about gun violence as well.... and I'm equally outraged that nobody in the Obama administration seems to be concerned about the fact that more black people are killed in Chicago every weekend than in Afghanistan. Sweep it under the rug.... black lives apparently DON'T matter to his administration.

The only thing I'm paranoid about is a government that thinks it needs to disarm the citizens. That is WORTHY of being paranoid/concerned about.

The only real solution to criminal gun violence is strict enforcement of existing laws.
