No one has said anything about disarming anyone. This gun rhetoric is all straw man fallacy. Obama said he wants to close the gun-show loophole, stricter background checks, no-fly no Buy. He made it abundantly clear that he was not interested in taking anyone's guns. Apparently people have selective hearing.

Omar Mateen who was a known Islamic radicalism was able to legally purchase an assault rifle with which he killed 80 people, this country clearly has a problem with gun violence. So if gun regulations for not the solution than what is? Everytime I ask conservative this question, all they have to offer is the everyone needs to turn to Jesus rhetoric. If that were to happen then YAY, but we all know that's not going to happen so in the meantime let's come up with a solution. Blacks have long cried and complained about the gun violence in the inner cities. The gangs . The shootings. (Who do you think we Whites have been hearing it from? BLACKS who want to be given more of our money to "fix their neighborhoods.")
But, when a good man like Trump shows that they almost completely reigned that kind of stuff in when ENFORCEMENT was actually followed in New York, Blacks want none of it. They want to keep on protecting their gangs and punks so that they will perpetuate something to cry about.... hoping to get even more free handouts.
The good Blacks have it rough, trying to fight all the hoodlum Blacks who actually do NOT want anything done about the violence of Black-on-Black crime right in their own neighborhoods.
We have several Black families living in our neighborhood, and they all say they are so very thankful to be living in a White neighborhood where we do not allow that kind of thing to even rear its ugly head.
Yes, the plain answer is that you have to allow the police to do their jobs, (even, help them) and you have to actually WANT better neighborhoods.
