Yes. But not if we had allowed him to disarm us before deciding to become that dictator..... Just like Hillary was proposing.

And, here's a flash.... Obama would have taken all our guns, too, if he thought he could get away with it. But, he was afraid to do that by executive order... why? BECAUSE WE ARE ARMED, and believe in the primary reason for the 2nd Amendment. He tried to do it through legislation, and failed, so the only other option would be Exec Orders... or declare martial law and have "gun sweeps"..... which I predict would be ended very quickly.

There's no reason to ask someone to exit the vehicle over a simple traffic stop.

I ask most people I stop and will issue a summons to exit their vehicle. What you do not realize is that a traffic stop is an arrest. The suspect is not free to leave. The officer is always at a tactical disadvantage on a traffic stop. I take them out of their world and bring them into mine. It's a simple thing, you sign your summons and fight it in court. You refuse to sign and promise to appear in court or fail to discontinue the offense, you are taken in handcuffs to the nearest judicial officer and have a money bond placed on you.

Ands let's say hypothetically for the sake of argument that our government decided to turn against us and get a hankerin to kill us. They could kill us by the thousands without ever putting a single troop on the ground. Your guns will not protect you

If you go and look a bit, I read an article on military.com several years ago about a study the DoD did on fighting a homeland insurgency. They concluded they would not be effective in stopping it.
