Are you sure about the bashing? They could be just making an observation also.
Well, I guess everything is possible, but do you really believe that yourself? Can't recall saying anything about bashing either. I said ganging up.

I don't know because intentions cannot be seen. I believe we are warned about those who cause divisions. Some can be subtle and could act like victims when actually they are laughing because of the division they have caused.

You said bashing. Is'nt ganging up on someone also bashing?

If someone is acting like a turd, I'll call them out for it. Just as other people call me out when I act like a turd. And if someone is being all holier-than-thou, I won't stand for that hypocrisy.

Well, I didn't say anything about beating them over the head with a Bible. I was pointing out that, no one is committing other sins and are attempting to justify them. I also treat them the same as I would any unbeliever and would share Christ with them if given the opportunity. But when they attempt to try and convince me that, that life style is ok, then I am going to contend for the truth.

Just like any other believer, if they repent and believe in Christ, then they can be forgiven and have the promise of eternal life. Like I said, those who are living that life style want to normalize it. And regarding this, they have a lot of support and that because today we have politicians, celebrities, military, attorney's and people from all walks of life who are pushing the agenda of making the LGBTQ as being normal.

I would tell them that they have the freedom to continue living that life style, for that is their choice. But, I am also going to tell them about the consequences of leaving this life without Christ.
Bam...both well said

Let me just say this. Homosexuality is Biblically wrong. We should tell them is wrong but we should not persecute them. We're supposed to love gay people but not love their practice. I compare to a drug addict. We love them as brothers and sisters and want them to get better but don't agree with their life style.

Brothers and sisters? They're only our brothers and sisters if they're biologically so or if they're Christ followers. Otherwise, I agree with you.

I find it a little disturbing a 16 year old is in here talking about and liking comments about sex.
I know right! And one who loves to proclaim her maturity and wisdom..... hmmmm.

Once I was checking out a thread that I found interesting, and didn't realize that it was in the teen room. Another brother older brother made a comment and they showered him with criticism and accusations of perversion. He said nothing suggestive, only corrective. So maybe the same rule should apply.

If it's the same person I'm thinking of, that same "brother" also PM'ed a 16 year old, and creeped on her..I forget his user name..

You must have talked to another Demi. I haven't seen her blow her own trumpet. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Oh, you despise my youth too. Who here is thinking they are higher than they actually are?

You still haven't pointed them out, as I challenged you to. But you don't have to; it's you.

Check ya later!
You're, as many young people here are misusing that scripture. Timothy was called to go out and preach the gospel, not contend with others. Make disciples, not try to validate arguments. You're called y to meekness and quietness. Not contentions with others, especially elder women, whom you're called to be respectful to. See Titus 2.

no thanks dear.
I've had enough of youth charging off into folly in this thread.
that said.....gone.
enjoy.
The conversation and counsel was going great, until.... the young gals got on here. Then as usual, we end up with a dozen pages of contention.

Don't need to in this context
Oh, I think you do. I really do. Because you have the wrong idea and you being rather stubborn. I don't think you should get a free pass just because you're older than her and also a man.

And while you're at it, how about stop being condescending. Or do you despise her youth?

Anything to not have to back up your use of that verse, huh? Smh.
She's not being condescending, she's being corrective to YOUNG ladies, which according to God's Word, IS her job.

You are out of line, that's why the contention and confusion. it's not your place to be fighting and arguing with older women.

People always get attacked when they speak truth that no one wants to hear. Happens to me all the time..lol.. Demi is a very smart, wise and discerning young lady and IMO, she is smarter than ALL of the adults here.

Smart has nothing to do with it.... she isn't meek or wise. She just has knowledge. Big difference.

If you look back at the posts of the person I was responding to, you can't help but see her ugliness and her own disrespect toward the young simply for disagreeing with her while young. The young people aren't the problem. The young people were all for preaching the Gospel and making disciples, and she came in with contention. I'm not sure what you saw here, but I saw her quite clearly and unabashedly picking on Demi. I'm not sure how you managed to see anything different. Place the blame where it belongs, and maybe call her out instead of liking all of her falsely accusing, condescending posts.

Better sweet child than bratty child :p ((hugs))
Theres a huge difference between a 28 year old and a 16 year old. Especially men to women. He's almost twice your age.

When you make reference to someone's age in your "corrections" in a belittling way, yes, that is condescending. It would be condescending if she did the same thing to a really old person, for that matter. Did you really and truly not see the snide remarks?
