I've heard these rumors of people in the music industry who got to where they are/were by doing that.

If it is possible and someone has already done it, I also wonder if that person can still be saved.

anyone can be saved they have to give their life over to God and ask for forgiveness of their sins. They have to believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to cover the sins of all people and that through his death we all can be forgiven and saved by his death. These people or person who just have to confess their sins to God read the bible be baptized in the name of God and throw away the old life they lived and start a new life under God..

Biblically, your soul doesn't seem to be a tangible asset you can sell or transfer to another person.
So, this isn't biblical.

But, in a metaphorical sense, if we're talking about "giving yourself over to satan"... then sure, that's a very biblical concept.

Also, a person could, theoretically, ENGAGE in some kind of ceremony or ritual (like selling their soul) that doesn't really have any genuine power over them, but which the person BELIEVES has power over them.

I'm sure people do all kinds of very strange things.

So, most likely, if anyone has done some kind of ceremony where they actually "sold their soul" to satan, what they actually did was create a very FAKE contract, but a very REAL intention to live for Satan.

I disagree with Demi and Socreta.. I believe that it is impossible to sell your soul to satan. Why? Well, obviously because GOD owns our souls, and I'm fairly certain He isn't in the business of selling our souls to satan. Or even loaning or renting them to satan.. Can satan try to steal our souls? Yes, but that's all he can do is try.. Our souls belong to God. And unlike Judas who betrayed Jesus for money, God won't ever sell our souls to satan.. :) jmo

If you aren't born again you already have been living in sin nature so why sell a soul? Worshiping him is the only thing we see in scripture that is needed in order to gain by way of satan..

sell denotes you no longer own it so how does one come back from that? you have no right.. I don't see it as ''selling'' ...

just my thoughts of course.. Demi knows more about this particular subject than me so Im really just throwing out my doubts

Yeah. People who make that claim also think a 'secret' organization, that everyone knows about, is magically influencing every minute aspect of our lives.

I don't think its possible to sell your soul. He just like to torment and inflict pain. He gets enough souls already. The only time he tried to buy someone's soul is when he offered Jesus riches and power if he obeyed him because he knew Jesus was the son of God.

It's just an expression. It's like a pastor who has read Leviticus 18:22 and knows that homosexuality is a sin, but he also knows that he will be very popular if he gives his blessing to homosexuality, so he gives his blessing to homosexuality. At some point he has to face up to the fact that he "sold out."

God cannot save those that blaspheme the Holy Spirit as some actually have.

You can see a clip of Katy Perry acknowledging that she gave her soul to satan so she could be successful in the music biz.

Not sure if she blasphemed the Holy Spirit, but it's doubtful she's coming back to faith since she's apparently very happy with the arrangement.

A pastor (or any Christian for that matter) doing this will be burning in hell unless they repent and ask for forgiveness.

I always thought of this scripture when someone would say a person sold their soul to the devil. I'm not saying this is a biblical concept. But I can see how the saying came about because mankind either serves God or money (satan).

Mark 8

34
And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
35 For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? 37 For what will a man give in exchange for his soul?38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

If you are referring to movies where this happens at a Crossroads in Mississippi, NO. The devil does not come up and make a written contract with someone to give them a special talent that will allow them to become worldly famous.

However, in a Biblical sense, anyone who is NOT a believer in and follower of Christ, is owned by the devil. Jesus told folks then when He told them they "serve their master well."

Yes, some such as this can be saved............we ALL WERE IN BONDAGE TO SIN when we were saved. I would think that would not need explaining.

Well, technically, your soul is satan's to begin with. he doesn't actually own it but it's destined by default to yield to him. We give our hearts to God, but our souls are bought for a price by Christ. So in effect we sell our souls to Jesus; but you can't sell something to satan that was his by default.

This makes no sense to me, and sounds a bit blasphemous to boot.. :(
