I've heard these rumors of people in the music industry who got to where they are/were by doing that.

If it is possible and someone has already done it, I also wonder if that person can still be saved.
Kind of like selling a Mustang to Ford. Why would Ford buy it? They already own it?

And is God stronger than Satan? Um? Yeah! When God wants that Mustang, Ford ain't keeping it!

This makes no sense to me, and sounds a bit blasphemous to boot.. :(
[h=1]Matthew 6:24English Standard Version (ESV)[/h]24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Two masters. You get God is one. Do you really think coins/bills are the other? Who gets us so interested in money to make it more important than God? Orrr, who gets us to believe our time, our wants, our desires, our anything is more important than God?

We either belong to God or belong to Satan. And the only way out of belonging to Satan is by being purchased by that act on that cross?

Not blaspheme. The gospel.

No you cant sell your soul : p Like it has already been stated here, the whole phrase is just an expression, doing what you want despite the consequences.

Satan doesnt even own anybody's souls, the bible tells us he comes to steal kill and destroy because he knows his time is short, not to take ownership over creation : p He is going to be destroyed and knows it, and wants to see you be destroyed in his own wrath.

The whole thing is all from entertainment, just like the little red devil with the pitchfork. It fiction based somewhat on real life things. Its absolutely not based on anything other than fiction : p

Of course there are people who make rituals and all that dedicating themselves to satan, but that doesnt make it factual. There are people bowing before idols believing it will take away their sins, that doesnt make it true either.

I disagree with Demi and Socreta.. I believe that it is impossible to sell your soul to satan. Why? Well, obviously because GOD owns our souls, and I'm fairly certain He isn't in the business of selling our souls to satan. Or even loaning or renting them to satan.. Can satan try to steal our souls? Yes, but that's all he can do is try.. Our souls belong to God. And unlike Judas who betrayed Jesus for money, God won't ever sell our souls to satan.. :) jmo
(Hey, I worked my way up the list, so I'm reading backwards. lol)

So, do you think everyone is going to heaven? I ask, because I do believe in OSAS, BUT the big question is stilled, "But are you really saved?"

Most folks who sell their souls to Satan never gave their souls to God. And, even if they do sell them before God saves them it doesn't really matter because God still saves. He just doesn't save everyone ever conceived.

Yeah. People who make that claim also think a 'secret' organization, that everyone knows about, is magically influencing every minute aspect of our lives.
Not much of a secret. His name is Jehovah!

satan is responsible for the fallen nature that we are born into. And unless we give our lives to Christ, we will end up in the lake of fire with satan. So the 'default' setting of our lives is to be with satan. The Bible says we are bought with a price (1 Cor 6:20, 7:23). So, in effect (in effect) satan "owns us" at birth, and we sell our souls to God in salvation.

No you cant sell your soul
That's not true... God created man in His own likeness, which is where mankind gets free will from as well as the responsibility to reap what we sow,

Just like someone who verbally and thru their actions submits to Jesus Christ as Lord... it's very possible to do the same on the dark side.

Go read up on Alester Crowley and Anton LeVey and get back with me...

Selling one's soul to satan is simply making an agreement with 'ol slewfoot.... anybody has the ability to do this if they so desire. They are stupid if they do, but they can if they want.

Why would it mean that? Judgement day is the judgement for sins, not God losing souls to satan. His creations will be judged for their sins, which is why satan is leading people to sin, to make sure they end up destroyed in eternal torment too. There is no verse on satan actually owning souls or even doing anything with them. In fact, he will spend his eternity "being tormented forever". Not literally ruling over an bizarro version of heaven.

Yes. it is possible, but not the way we think.

The "selling of one's soul" is when people make an agreement with Satan to "sell out" to him similarly the same way we do to Christ. When we do, we allow ourselves to be filled with evil spirits according to what we sell out for, that gives supernatural abilities in music, acting, etc. Jimi Hendrix is a good example. Some in the music business have been quoted saying that it's like someone else takes over on stage. Others have admitted to entering into satanic rituals when signing their contracts.

The person is duped into believing they're sold to Satan, but they can be saved.

And that is a point lost on a lot of people. satan will NOT rule over the lake of fire. It is for his torment. And those who sell out to him by denying Christ.

Perhaps the better equivalent phrase is "make a deal with the devil"...?

yes you can sell your soul to the devil but Jesus has authority to take it back.. however selling your soul goes much deeper then saying you did so, just as being Christian is more than words... you have to walk the walk... and its hard for someone who has walked so far to turn back around after so many sins ... a lot of these guys who do this lose their minds after a while .. they lose hope faith trust morals... everything righteous is stripped from them over time as selling your soul is a process and a trap at the same time keeping a person bound by the contract.

Anyone who repents and comes to Christ can be saved

Its darkest before the dawn,In other words, when a person realizes that there Is nothing more they can do with their own/fleshly strength, then they can call on GOD and be saved,GOD's workmanship created In CHRIST JESUS unto good works which were before ordained that we should walk In them.

There has been people born of the Spirit of GOD that were once witches.
