What’s involved in doing God’s will unto salvation?

Interesting proposition.

Is loving the Lord and walking in His ways discord?
Is quoting scripture and desiring to know His will discord?

God loves you and you claim to know what love is. So what is your motivation around
this post, to attempt to stir up division or try and create the impression you have found
some guilty parties?

I will say this simple observation, the word "nothing" is not a good idea.
It is said to insult, because it is a not true, so has to be a lie, propoganda.

This is just the pure rejection of an individual and all they stand for. In relationship
terms it is, I will not accept anything you say.

The power of the words is just this total rejection. But my brothers and sisters,
this kind of approach has nothing to do with Jesus, and the work of the Holy Spirit
and everything to do with indoctrination and heresy.

I leave it to you to draw your own conclusion as to the fruit this represents and the
heart from which it comes. EG certainly has conviction.

I see nothing offensive about his PM. It sounds like you do.

How about this, how about you shake the dust off your feet and leave him alone. That is the right thing to do, right? Also, EG left for a week to stay away. He sounds more mature than you are, right now, regardless if you're right or wrong.

so, I guess when I go to church on Sunday, hear story after story about how college students in the college town ( uga) that I live, how these young folks leave a lifestyle of partying, casual sex, drugs, etc.. and start following Jesus, it does not " count" because no one threatened them with hell. I guess " hellfire " pastors just like screaming at the same faces every week, and not leading new folks to Christ.

Jesus said he did not come to judge the world. He came to save it..

I thought we were supposed to be teaching his message of salvation. Not the message of hell. (although hell is real. and should not be ignored)

Paul said in romans 1. Everyone knows where they are headed they do not need to be told..

If we are in a passage that speaks on hell. Preach it, But 20 minute sermonettes every week on hellfire and brimestone..

Yep. that will lead people to christ.

They do not understand.

As james said, if we break even the least of the law. we are guilty of the whole law and seen as sinners.

1 sin, no matter how slight we may think that sin is, or even if we do not think it is sin, Condemns us for all eternity apart from Gods son.

Perhaps this is the MAIN reason for God giving us free will.
I'm not sure if it's the main reason.

Jesus talks a lot about obedience.
I talk a lot about our co-operation.
Some co-operation is involved.

We are NOT called to receive a spot of saving faith,
due to God's free gift of grace (unmerited favor),
believing/trusting the Gospel (due to that spot),
and then living in habitual unrepentant sin!

Dozens of NT warnings say that won't cut it.
The sinning removes the righteousness you once had.

Sadly, these verses have NOTHING to do with what I said. And you did not respond to what I said.

Satan has people like this waiting at the door of every Christian forum
to confuse and even destroy born-again believers.

Not God's elect (chosen ones) ... they come through it all, unscathed.
