God does not really hide His face from us for He sees all,and knows all.
I believe that God hiding His face from us might only apply to the people who claim God but are not doing His will for an extended period of time,causing God to not deal in the person's life until they make a move to correct this wrongful position,and when they do that then God will begin to work again in that person's life.
Deu 4:26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
Deu 4:27 And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
Deu 4:28 And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
Deu 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
Deu 4:30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
Deu 4:31 (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God
he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
God gave Israel a blessing and a curse depending on how they as a nation behaved in accordance with God's truth.A blessing if they abided in the truth in which they would prosper and no enemy could take them down,and a curse if they disobeyed the truth for a certain amount of time that God would allow their enemies to come against them and scatter them in to the nations.
But anytime they cry out to God,make a move to correct the situation,God would then work among them again as in time past and bring them back to the right position.
Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Jer 33:19 And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,
Jer 33:20 Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
Jer 33:21 Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
Jer 33:22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
Jer 33:23 Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
Jer 33:24 Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
Jer 33:25 Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
Jer 33:26 Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
Jer 31:35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
Jer 31:36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
Jer 31:37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.
Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
Rom 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
God called Israel and will never turn from it,and His covenant is always with them and never departs,and anytime they make a move to correct their wrongful position,God will make a move to bring them around to being right with Him again,even in the latter days if they turn to God,He will work them,which God will send them two witnesses and turn them to Jesus,which they make a move towards God,and then God makes a move towards them to cause them to prosper as the kingdom is restored to them.
God is always there for them,and if they are disobedient will work with them anytime they make a move to correct their wrongful position.
Deu 32:18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
Deu 32:19 And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.
Deu 32:20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
Deu 32:21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
Eze 39:21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
Eze 39:22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.
Eze 39:23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
Eze 39:24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.
Eze 39:25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
Eze 39:26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
Eze 39:27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
Eze 39:28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
Eze 39:29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
God is always there for Israel at all times,and never forsakes them,but He would hide His face from them during the time they were disobedient as a nation following that which is not right,which means He was not operating to full capacity in their nation because of their disobedience,but He was always there for them,and never forsook them,and when they made a move to do right,then God worked with them again like the past.
Jesus said that He will never leave us or forsake us,but if we are disobedient then God will not work to full capacity in our life,but when we want to correct our wrongful position then God will work in our life like the past.
If we are disobedient for an extended time God will hide His face from us,but like Israel He is always there and will not forsake us in the sense that He says I am done with you,for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance,and when we correct our wrongful ways then God will then again work in our life to full capacity of all what He gives us according to His salvation plan.
Like the nation of Israel,God is always there for us,and Jesus will never leave or forsake us,but our prosperity depends on whether we do right by God,or wrong for an extended period of time,and if wrong then God will not work to full capacity in our life,but He is still there,and when we correct this situation,then God will work to full capacity in our life again.
Because even when disobedient for a certain amount of time,and God is not working to full capacity in our life,He is still there for us,and Jesus will never leave or forsake us,and the gifts and calling of God are without repentance,and He is still working somewhat in our life although not to full capacity,like He told Israel,I am the LORD,I change not,therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed.
