Maybe you should separate.

She's not evil. She probably just has alot of unresolved issues that make her act this way. We ALL have issues.

I have a mouth on me about the size of the state of New Jersey. Get me mad, and you will hear cleverly strung words that may, or may not be curse words. BUT that happens when I get mad.

A thought.

I'm hearing one side of this story but not the other side. Considering I'm hearing from a supposed-husband-of-20-years, who sounds like his wife went from this innocent, nice-mouthed woman when dating to this make-a-sailor-blush wife for no apparent reason, exactly why should I be believing one side, but not the other?

Why have you stayed married to her for 20 years?

Was she like this before you were married?

I would seriously recommend Christian Counseling for both of you.Have you discussed this with her? (I am doubting it) Communication is a necessity in any good marriage, and can be cultivated if both parties agree. If she is unwilling to submit to counseling, I would issue an ultimatum. Separation until she is willing to work on the problems and issues involved.

I'm not sure if your wife is evil or not but it could be she is tired and frustrated with life. Without any more details in your situation my advice is to pray for her and be the best husband that you can be. Glad to have you with us. Welcome to CC.

husbands, love your wife as Christ loved the church.

how did Christ love the church?

He gave Himself for her. we were enemies of God, our hearts continually plotting evil and full of wickedness. and He at this time laid His life down for us, even on His cross, praying that the Father forgive the very ones who were crucifying Him. He looked over our sin and offered us His everlasting grace. selflessly. unmerited. undeserving. completely. without demanding recompense. to the world, foolishly. perfectly, full of goodness and grace, patiently, kindly, effectively. He did not open His mouth but was led to the slaughter as a sheep - and went willingly, for the joy set before Him, knowing the reward that would be reaped, in a kingdom not of the world.

is this what we are doing?
are we loving our wives this way?

But "taking up a cross" refers to pursuing a noble cause. I don't know if this qualifies.

isn't loving someone who was totally undeserving of it, unappreciative of it, and even ignorant of it exactly the noble cause for which our Lord died on your behalf?

Such as ANAL SPHINCTER? LOL!

To the OP:

There are three sides to the story. Her side, his side and God's side. The truth will set you free. Look at your wife with renewed eyes. You might be blinded by selfishness.

You can't change her, no matter how much or how hard you try. There is nothing you can do, besides asking God for help. My best advice is to emotionally detach and if she gets abusive, then divorce may be needed. Then let God settle things.

...But this advice is coming from a 14 year old female teenager with no experience in love, so what you do next is entirely up to you.

"It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman" (Proverbs 21:19)

"It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house"
(Proverbs 25:24)

Your wife obviously has anger issues.. I'd just tell that you can't take it anymore, and if she doesn't calm down and start acting like a civilized human being, your going to need to leave. Was she a selfish, lying, angry woman when you married her, or did she turn into a witch after-the-fact?

Rewarding people for bad behavior doesn't help them.

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd for a man to describe his wife of 20 years as
a "wicked wife" and evil - that's unless you have been watching too much wizard of Oz, or
was that the "wicked witch!"

Ive seen people say their spouses have changed, have anger issues, have
jealousy issues, no longer love me, we only stay together for the children etc.

But to call someone you are married to a "wicked wife" and evil either means:
1) troll
2) or that you no longer have any respect or love for that person, so why not separate I'm sure the
feeling is mutual,
3) or that you are displaying cultish behaviour and repeating parrot fashion what others believe.
4) or that you are obsessed with the occult and Satan and think she is possessed.

I wonder which it is.

I suppose the wife might be a shape shifting demon.
