"It is to be regretted that the rich and powerful too often bend the acts of government to their selfish purposes. Distinctions in society will always exist under every just government. Equality of talents, of education, or of wealth can not be produced by human institutions. In the full enjoyment of the gifts of Heaven and the fruits of superior industry, economy, and virtue, every man is equally entitled to protection by law; but when the laws undertake to add to these natural and just advantages artificial distinctions, to grant titles, gratuities, and exclusive privileges, to make the rich richer and the potent more powerful, the humble members of society the farmers, mechanics, and laborers who have neither the time nor the means of securing like favors to themselves, have a right to complain of the injustice of their Government. There are no necessary evils in government. Its evils exist only in its abuses. If it would confine itself to equal protection, and, as Heaven does its rains, shower its favors alike on the high and the low, the rich and the poor, it would be an unqualified blessing."

I have great respect for the original indigenous people of this land, however you're actually reaping benefits of Jackson's administration, and honestly, there aren't too many folks today, including you, who would give up those benefits in an effort to denounce Jackson's presidency and his crimes against humanity.

And I don't really like abortion but since I don't have any interest in adopting a child then it would be rather hypocritical of me to chastise a woman for having an abortion

Andrew Jackson and Trump? A good comparison.

Andrew Jackson was the last President to tell the Supreme Court what it could do with its "decisions." (He told them if they were going to make the US government foot the bill for something, then that bill comes out of their pockets. Not the people's pockets. He simply refused their decision.) Trump can do the same thing with many of the Supreme's decisions over the decades. There is nothing in our Constitution that says the Supreme Court makes law. We could really use a President who gets that.

Unfortunately, he's also the President who made The Trail of Tears, by forcing the Cherokees out of their land so Americans could live there. It was a lot of dead people from that decision.

Something like I expect out of Trump -- some good stuff and some really bad stuff.

Good comparison.

500 broken treaties out of 500 treaties. There is no way of cleaning up that history.

Its a good thing all those people were totally living peacefully, and totally not going around killing each other.

Everything was good until a big bad European came and ruined everything : p

Yes, cuz Im sure thats what they set out to do, eliminate the natives.

Quit with the virtue signaling. Historically speaking, every time you have a new culture move into the lands of another, they will end up fighting. Even with the native Americans, they were killing each other and forcing each other into slavery before the Europeans even came about.

Does that make it good? No, but even still, talking as if this one guy is all bad because he did the same thing any world leader did is dumb : p Ive read here on CC that Obama killed many people with drone attacks, yet I dont see you telling us about how terrible he is, in fact you even said he "wasnt as bad as we went out to make him"

You are LITERALLY only doing this cuz you hate Trump and are gonna put down everything he does no matter what : p
