About 8 years ago I was into Christianity. Even though I didn't really know why.It was just something I did not question. Even though I felt no real connection to a god. I started talking to people about their beliefs. This led me to look into my own beliefs. I read different religious texts. Ive read a lot of different stuff, I like reading about different religions. Its very interesting. After a few years of research I have come to accept I don't believe in a creator. But who knows I might some day.
Ummmm, actually he has done quite a bit to prove his existence...
A) Day unto day utters speech
B) Night unto night sets forth knowledge
C) No language or voice that is beyond comprehension
D) the invisible things also testify to the power of God and the Godhead
E) Unto every man has been dealt a measure of faith (the ability to believe)
F) He sent 40 plus authors over 1600 years to give the scripture
G) He testified dia miracles, signs and wonders (1st century A.D.)
H) He has built in conscience as a divine spark of right and wrong
I) The history of Israel gives weight to the validity of God
J) His Spirit convicts and convinces dia a still small voice prodding one to believe
K) The heavens declare the glory of God
There is ample proof for those honest with the facts........

If I recommended a few books would you read them since you like to read? 
Lee Strobel has several great books. He is the opposite of your story. He was an atheist and became a Christian after searching out God. The books I have read are "The Case for a Creator" "The Case for Christ" and "The Case for Faith" they are all really interesting reads,you wont be disappointed. Heres a link...

It is good for you to question your beliefs. A luke cool believer is not one that pleases God, believing haphazardly or disinterestedly. Better by far to be authentic. You do seem to have a heart that desires to seek after God, yet have come to the conclusion He does not exist? May I ask how you believe the universe came into being?
Just a quick mention here on Lee Strobel (following up on some of what Kayla has said and suggested), because Lee set out to prove God does not exist, but came to believe in God's existence instead, because the more he sought to disprove God's existence, the more the truth of God's existence was revealed to him.
It seems to me what is lacking for you is some personal revelation of God to you, something that would really open your heart to Him more, as opposed to simply having a mind willing to look into possibilities (even while you so compassionately serve those less fortunate than you). Do you pray? I earnestly entreat you to begin praying if you do not. You may feel foolish, I have heard it often, how silly people felt praying to they knew not what, but a simple prayer can avail much. Get down on your knees on a regular basis, and humbly ask God to reveal Himself to you

Scientists know how the universe was created but it still doesn't answer all the questions that we might have. As a caver I understand evolution and how long the earth has been around. If anyone would like to see evolution at work I recommend visiting a cave. Its an amazing experience.
I do pray occasionally, but I dont really believe in a certain god so I am not really sure which one to pick. So i would say it does feel a bit odd.

Science is fascinating, though, as a study of the natural world, and the application of scientific knowledge via medicine and technology etc has benefited society much. The scientific method was in fact developed originally by Christians However, it is your spirit we wish you to attend to. Do you have spiritual beliefs? By that I mean, do you allow for the mystery of life that science may never be able to explain? Do you ponder such things as the existence and meaning of soul?

I wish I could tell you that if you asked God what He wants you to do that God will speak to you...maybe He will and maybe God has another way...I do believe that if you ask the God of the bible to make Himself obvious to you that He will.

I really enjoy ghost tours, things like that. Books about hauntings, demon possession, witchcraft, spells. All of that is pretty interesting. Do i believe any of it is real. Not really.

I wonder what drives this fascination if you believe none of it? Sounds a rather morbid curiosity without some inclination to discover the truth of any of it. You are trying to uncover something.
