You're not even remotely biblical here. You're preaching tradition, not Scriptural doctrine and placing experience above truth ("this is not doctrine this is actually life").

Sorry to inform you fella, but God's revealed truth comes first, not last, and never after any false personal experience of which you are basing your faith instead of the Word.

God doesn't call based upon anything a person does, either good or bad, and He doesn't choose based on man making the first move: James 1:18; John 1:13, Romans 9:11ff, Ephesians 1:4ff; 1 Thessalonians 1:4; 1 Peter 1:1ff.

But then again I'm engaging with one who preaches the Christ of God didn't do enough to save us and who is blinded by the heresies of synergism. You spend many hours per day on here, there is no way you actually study and learn from your own errors, which are many and remarkable.

Nevertheless, Soli Deo Gloria! :)
For many are invited, but few are chosen
Matt 22:14

As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance 13 and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”
14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.
15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.
17 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
Luke 17:12-19

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matt 7:13-14

All I said is contained in these verses.
So I would suggest I am completely correct and biblical.

No, sorry, quoting Scripture later doesn't retro back to you placing experience above revealed truth.

Show me where this teaches what you taught in your former post, that it isn't doctrine but life.

Also, since you've misused the passages, show us all where God chose these based upon God knowing what they would do in time. I'll be waiting for you to prove that with proper exegesis and real theology, minus the traditions of Finney, Sandeman and Pelagius.

The good thing is you can't, because you merely make up your doctrines based upon tradition and the heresies of synergism to which you hold. This is why your major heresy is Christ didn't do enough to save us. IOW the verses you've cherry picked don't support your false teachings. :)

You are so wise. Knowing Gods word shows me you have everything bang to rights.
Not sure what it is, but it must be so correct.

Imagine this God knows who is written in the lambs book of life.

Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
Rev 20:15

May they be blotted out of the book of life and not be listed with the righteous.
Psalm 69:28

For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
Eph 1:4

He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.
1 Peter 1:20

I write these as simple examples of how little you know scripture or
theology. These are not even my verses or my doctrines, but you obviously
know little about this, good night, and God bless gtg

Just a question bros, doesn't your bible teach you to do good? If it is otherwise then I suggest that you throw away that book. The bible teaches us to practice our faith thru obedience to God's commands & accdg to His holy will .Would you not expel an immoral, greedy & wicked brother from your congregation just because you believe that he is saved by faith alone & he is forever saved no matter what he does?
You conflate prescriptive teachings with descriptive teachings, confusing soteriology with sanctification. That's the basis of your error.

The problem with the argument is it is not a discussion but a statement of positions.

One side believe you believe in Christ and wait for the work in your hearts.
The other side believe out of the outflow of love from belief in the cross, you obey.

Repeating the same interpretations does not change the other sides view.
What is plain for various passages, these passages get reinterpreted to appease
the conscience.

It is Gods word and the Holy Spirit that convict, and the sign that the HS is speaking
in someones life is they agree with Gods word.

Three phrases stick in my mind

Love each other as I have loved you.
Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled.

These are not optional extras, or something on a take it or leave it schedule.
Follow Christ and walk in these things. It takes time and perseverance.

Now in truth this will determine whether you know Christ at all or are just blowing
in the wind. Based on the level of hatred, animosity and unbelief, a fair few are
blowing in the wind.

To quote one,
"I am going to be honest, Willingly sin, You willingly sin every day, we all do.. Every time you chose to serve self over any other person, you willingly sin. This idea they my sin was not willful, thus it is ok.. That is a dangerous thought."

This is so wrong and distorted, it shows how far sin and conflicts within
have bound a soul into unbelief and self condemnation, without them
understanding or seeing it themselves.

Maybe, who told you that, how can you tell me what God has shown me, i'm sharing, not shoving, just look, not with someone elses eyes, Jesus said learn from Him, He loves all of us the same, the worker that comes at 4:00 pm, will get the same as worker that started at 6:00 am, we'll see, i love you.

Just trying to think of better responses, i really need to work on my responses, to things i don't understand. Sometimes it seems this forum will chase searching souls away. Quit trying to shove something on another, that they are not ready to receive.

Just saying, try thinking of the shy guest observing, and imagine what they are seeing. If some think God can't see this you are out of your mind. God has angels going to and fro, keeping God informed of the goodness of His people, satan has angels running to and fro, accusing the brethren, so if God can't see it He has plenty of eyes that can.

For many are invited, but few are chosen
Matt 22:14.
For all have sinned and continue to fall short of His glory every day they live in the flesh .

Yes chosen by God not by any work we could do.

Galatians 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Many are chosen (he first loved us) before any work could be done by them. Salvation is by the grace of Christ, through Christ’s work of faith. His faith that he works in us is not dead.

Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Isaiah 44:2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jerusalem, whom I have chosen.

Isaiah 48:12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.

Christian is the new name he named and calls His called ones.

Not all Jacob and therefore Israel, are Israel . A man must be born again according to the new name he named us.

Yes, the wage we all receive from His grace according to His work of faith, that he works in us to both will and perform His good pleasure is identified by a penny. After all it is Christ who makes us different from one another . And if we have received His grace (penny) according to his work of faith. Why we would we glory in our own flesh, as if it was not freely given with no cost on our behalf?

1Co 4:8 Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.

The basic premise rejected by the "workers for" is the following....

A son is a son by BIRTH....not by WORKS..............

The bible states that we are BORN AGAIN......that birth is....

a) A SPIRITUAL BIRTH
b) Is OF GOD'S SPIRIT
c) Is of an INCORRUPTABLE SEED
d) IS EVERLASTING (see whatsoever Ecclesiastes 3:14)
e) Is NOT based upon works
f) Is based upon FAITH into the FINISHED work that JESUS has done
g) CANNOT be gained or maintained by works (GALATIANS 1, 3)
h) Cannot be lost
I) Cannot be forfeited

A son by birth will always be a son by birth....NOTHING can ever change that!

Amen and I agree......Cain offered his works, was rejected and died a lost man....Jude compares false teachers to three men....1st on the list...Cain who offered works.....

Faith plus works to gain or maintain salvation is a false, double cursed, different gospel that has no power to save.....

No wonder the number is plenteous in number<---those coming before Jesus boasting of their works only to be cast....most religions that name Jesus teach a false works based salvation.....

Cain got mad, jealous and killed his brother......that was his response........

Abel offered blood which pointed to JESUS.....Abel was accepted.........and makes the 11th chapter of Hebrews as one who had FAITH......

In the grace you are, having been saved OUT OF FAITH and that NOT OF YOURSELVES it is the GIFT of GOD, NOT of WORKS lest any man should boast.....

It is as clear as can be....our works do not save us....it is faith that saves us

"that not of yourselves" is directed at the word FAITH......it is the perfect faith of CHRIST that saves us.............that is why it is ETERNAL!

EVEN when we believe not after BELIEVING....HE REMAINS faithful because he CANNOT DENY HIMSELF!

Straight and narrow is the way and FEW find it...The minority teaches a faith based salvation

Broad and wide the way to destruction and most go there...The majority teach a works based false religion

In the grace you are having been saved OUT OF FAITH<-----the simplicity found in Christ!

Yes, if we were to have his work of faith as a labor of His love in respect to our own selves ,we would be blaspheming the Holy name by which we are called... by the hearing of His faith our faithful Creator.

Without His work His faith. His faith would be considered dead. Just as would be his body without His Spirit. He cannot deny His own faith.

NOT one...but we can post numerous that show it is not by works of righteousness.....and verses that show if you add faith and works for salvation your a fool.....etc......
I DON'T MEAN TO OFFEND ANYBODY BUT I DON’T NEED THE PRAISE OF MAN(john 12:42-43). Because of GREED, the religious PRIESTS, PASTORS, MINISTERS collects TITHES from their members & teaches them that if they give to God, they will receive abundant blessings.

These HYPOCRITICAL LIARS teaches as a doctrine that good works are filthy rags & it is by faith alone that a man could be saved & not by works(of the law) eph 2:8-9, acts 13:39

Though they claim that they’re not under the law, their works deny their faith(void of works) by doing works of the law(TITHING) because of their greed.

Judas Iscariot betrayed our Lord Jesus because of greed & in the same way these modern pharisees do today.

These people claim that they are already saved with an eternal salvation, would they not lose it because of GREED, DECEPTION & WICKEDNESS?

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: NEITHER the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor THE GREEDY nor drunkards NOR SLANDERERS nor swindlers WILL INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

lEphesians 5:5-6 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one DECEIVE you with EMPTY WORDS, for because of such things GOD’S WRATH comes on those who are DISOBEDIENT.

Romans 1:32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things DESERVE DEATH, they not only CONTINUE TO DO these very things but also APPROVE of those who PRACTICE them.

Numbers 18:21 “I give to the Levites all the tithes in Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the Tent of Meeting.

Hebrews 7:5 Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people—that is, their brothers—even though their brothers are descended from Abraham.

Matthew 23:3-4,25,28,33 So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy loads and put them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness. “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?

the scripture you point out is works of the flesh and not the spirit.

Dc and et who are good frinds and a good example of how two brothers should come togeather are not saying that works of the spirit are rags they are saying works of the flesh is rags.

They have allready pointed this out many times that they dont deny that works are an expression of fruits they just point out that works do not save. so get it
