In a PM to me, you just said I criticized your faith. Actually, I intended to point out to you, your lack of faith. You seem to feel that God did not give us the ability to learn about the world around us, and to grow in knowledge beyond merely some words found in a copy of part of the Scriptures called The Bible.
Even Paul, when he spoke at Mars Hill, demonstrated his understanding and grasp of the vast scope of the secular literature of the Greeks. And he was, thus, able to converse with them in a manner that would not have been possible if all he knew was a limited repertoire of Jewish Scripture.
God never intended for us to "hole-up" in some backwoods-focused fundamentalist huddle of isolated believers, quoting antiquated laws to one another out of a black book, in a vain attempt to prove our spirituality to one another.
