Really oh come on so he never spoke to them again after he clothed them..
He had to go with "use your common sense" with Cain. If there was another law, I'm sure he would have gone with "Thou shalt not kill."

ok How about this mankind had not full inhabbited all of the earth like maybe one side,, so he stopped the earth from rotating and all the water from the top fell to the bottom..

"The water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered." Gen 7:19

I dont think God would have punished cain if cain never knew it was a sin..

Remember what he did for moses when moses commited murder. it was the same thing moses murdered a guy with a rock.
God must have seen favor in moses or did moses repent ?..

Oh just pointing out that outside the Bible Sir Edmund Hillary claimed there were sea shells on top of mount Everest. It's fine to ignore that though. The Bible says the waters of the Flood covered the mountains, I reckon the seashell stuff would just be more proof. Indeed though it is better if you just have faith and believe as is written without needing any evidence.

I do not ignore that. I am just pointing out that the argument "it must be in the Bible" is not a valid one. BTW there was also ice age (thats the answer to the sea shells).

yeah they would have been covered if the earth was turned upside down all the water from the top washed everthing to the bottom,,

... from the point of view of the writer, not from the point of view of the International Space Station :)

The problem with the interpretation of Genesis events is that we have a totally different view today. We imagine a totally different things regarding the same words.

Lol well I mean consider this. The Bible doesn't say sea shells are on mount Everest. The Bible says the Flood covered the mountains. So how did seashells get on top of Mount Everest?

As for the so-called Ice Age, it's not real, it never happened. It's a fiction from the doctrines of man concocted only to make the Bible to no effect.

yeah they would have been covered if the earth was turned upside down all the water from the washed everthing to the bottom,,

But that is not how scripture says this happened. We are given a rather detailed account of what took place in the flood event and it was more than simply a downpouring of rain. Why is it so difficult for people to simply accept what scripture says about this event? Scripture is never written from the perspective of man but from the perspective of God.

so then he never talked to them more to warn them of satans ways ? like more about what sin was as written in liviticus ?..

I mean whats odd about that ?.

All i asked was if God calls lieing with sister a sin its not allowed.. so there for he must have created more eves ?.

I really dont get whats od about that.
My theory. They call hemophilia the Royal Disease, because it is one of the problems that happens when incest is the way to keep kingdoms together. And the royals of quite a few countries in history really would only marry close relatives -- often brothers, sisters, or even fathers and mothers. Genes degrade after generations of intermarrying.

BUT Adam and Eve had the purest genes. (God decreed Man was "very good.") So, intermarrying back then wouldn't corrupt the genes. But try that for 40+ generations and there will be degradation in the genes. By the time the Israelites were taken out of Egypt, the 12 sons of Jacob had 2.8 million offspring. (And in a mere four generations, too.) So, God wanted us to marry outside the family, and thus the law was established.

My theory. No one knows for sure.

The physics of hydrology is simply the study of how water behaves. One of the most basic principles of hydrology is that water will always seek its own level. This principle alone shows the absolute impossibility of a mere localized flood of such magnitude.
I dont understand your post as it looks like your confused as to how it happend i was just throwing more ideas into the pan.. i think personaly for a flood to occure of that magnitude the earth has to stop rotating and then the water will rise from inside the earth is millions of under ground caves and water valleys not to mention the ground water

Its quite agreed that the first civilization developed in that area, originated from North-east Africa and the rest of the world was populated by migration. There are also many evidences of the Flood in that area destroying the civilization there (Black sea).
It is agreed the first civilization started there. Noah was Dad in that case. Not Adam.

Also Cain was the first to set off and start another civilization, so it is widely accepted that families moved apart. One of my Dead Guys (Bible Commentators) made a good pitch for 17 generations after Noah could have easily created civilizations on every continent, including Australia and the New World. (Meh. No one seems to have wanted to live in Antarctica. lol)

Well I think we have carried the topic pretty far from the original post and so I will quit myself of it, though it is definitely an interesting topic and all the quick responses prove that so. Lol in a fully intended pun, you could say it was swept away by a flood of comments. Sorry to the OP for the downpour of digression and the bursting forth from the deep the fountains of pondering lol. Hope you find some answers to be helpful though. Praise God and may you find in Jesus an Ark of wisdom for refuge to your wonderings.

Where does it say that in the Bible?

I see in the Bible that Moses walked with God. I don't see anything about Moses compiling Genesis from ancient records though.

Numbers 12:8

[SUP]8 [/SUP]With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

The majority of Biblical scholars do credit Moses for writing the first five books, (not counting the ending of the fifth book, for obvious reasons.) And God did give him the Law in writing.

Sure, and I do reckon they knew the world better than those today. After all God made the world, he can certainly destroy it as he wills. God knows best. Men today so often do not.

They only knew a small part of the world. It isn't a question of what God can do. Its what He did do. God does know best. Better than you lol

quoting my self here lol...;) I knows why its odd because you probably have the mentaliy that if its not written its not true.. but seing as the oldest recorded scripture of jesus is 150 years after christ than surely there is missing scripture.. i dont think you could remember word for word like the bible. and its millions of words.
Ha! Got you beat. The oldest record about Jesus was a scrap of parchment dated to 90 AD. Probably a copy still, but remarkably close to the time of Jesus.

Also, the Bible isn't millions of words, and yes. Crazy as it seems some have actually memorized it. (Weird facts swirl in my brain. lol)

I think its fair to mention that some of our acient scripts found has got missing text ie faded away...

No i guess you could say iif they did find older text scripts theres a fat chance that it wouldnt be allowed anyway so your right i guess we will never know untill we meet our creator... but maybe i do and maybe hes just revealed it to me ?

The majority of Biblical scholars do credit Moses for writing the first five books, (not counting the ending of the fifth book, for obvious reasons.) And God did give him the Law in writing.

But 'writing a book' did not exclude using existing records, and Genesis bears witness to different records. It is not a straightforward narrative,

This is not an interpretation, this is simply what the text says.
Scripture is never written from the human perspective but from the perspective of God.

yes we should let [scripture] interpret scripture, and not put our views into it.

90 you say but however theese machines are of accuracy some would argue that carbon dating is a myth as it proves the bible to be a lie,,,but then i say one day can be like a thousand to the father.. i know theese facts just keep on popping up in my brain too
