Thank you for speaking openly, your answer according to scriptures, is as close as one can get, a woman not a man who was the first one to testify of the resurrection, without the resurrection, Christianity would not be known, it would not exist. Therefore the two part question becomes, how did a woman gain the knowlege of the resurrection and why was a woman chosen ? I guess a woman play a bigger part than the world would accept. You gave a great answer !
Also a good answer and who spoke if the resurrection first according to scriptures ? A woman, not a man, the greatest event ever recorded, that has affected mankind from then on. A woman who was chosen and sent, the first female Apostle that world refused to accept, I would say, God knows best.
Again, women have been used by the Lord for ministry outside the church. They can be eyewitnesses in bearing testimony of Him outside the church in an outreach ministry or in their daily walk with Him as they live their lives in society.
Women are not allowed to teach or even to speak nor be in authority over a man in church. This is a commandment from the Lord.
But most churches are ignorant of this; it does not mean they are not christians, but God does seem to hold it against the church for suffering a woman teach, and what Jezebel taught was seeking to receive the Holy Spirit again with evidence of tongues which never comes with interpretation as it is the depths of Satan for which they speak, just as she also teaches in receiving Him again in the Mass or communion by eating the bread & drinking the wine.
Revelation 2:[SUP]18 [/SUP]And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;[SUP]19 [/SUP]I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.[SUP]20 [/SUP]Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because
thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication,
and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.[SUP]21 [/SUP]And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.[SUP]22 [/SUP]Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.[SUP]23 [/SUP]And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.[SUP]24 [/SUP]But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira,
as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.[SUP]25 [/SUP]But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
So holding fast what we have been taught that we had received the sanctification of the Spirit and the belief of the truth at the hearing of the gospel is how we avoid that iniquity in seeking after to be filled by Him & of Him again.
Yes.. some of the men are also preaching the same doctrine, but this warning to a church in the latter days signify suffering a woman to teach and how a specific errant doctrines can come in, especially when women are speaking in tongues without interpretation in church which ought to prove the Holy Spirit is not doing that by breaking the commandment from the Lord for women to be silent in the church.
1 Corinthians 1:[SUP]9 [/SUP]God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.[SUP]10 [/SUP]Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
1 Corinthians 2:[SUP]2 [/SUP]For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
All they say is Spirit this and Spirit that, forgetting Whom the Holy Spirit would lead them to testify of; the Son of God in seeking His glory; not of Himself in seeking His own glory.
John 15:[SUP]26 [/SUP]But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:[SUP]27 [/SUP]And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
John 16:[SUP]13 [/SUP]Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. [SUP]14 [/SUP]He shall glorify me:
So the Holy Spirit shall lead believers in the only way to honor God the Father by in worship; and that is by honoring the Son.
John 5:[SUP]22 [/SUP]For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:[SUP]23 [/SUP]That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
Only seducing spirits would take the spotlight off of the Son to themselves in worship to lead believers to them instead of after Christ which the indwelling Holy Spirit would never do.
Those women & men that claim they are interpreting the tongues by that extra phenomenon are winging it. Just as some fake tongues to fit in, some will wing interpreting that tongue to fit in. And yes, some will speak another language because they know that language and interpret that language while claiming they can speak in tongues and interpret their own tongues at the same time which is not Biblical at all, because 1 Corinthians 12:7-13 testifies that the gifts are divided severally as He wills. No one will receive tongues and then interpret that same tongue right afterwards.
Anyway, I digress.... just showing by that church in Thyatira how they suffered a woman to teach by His words that supports the applying of the Lord's commandment that He does not want a woman to teach or have authority over a man in church when doing so is a suffering in the church as seen by the Lord.
Women can be eyewitnesses and ministers outside the weekly assembly that is being held as a regular church.
