Somebody wiser than I once said, "You're not ready to get married until you are able to be happy being single."
In other words, if you look for a spouse as an answer to your problems and a way to complete your life and make you happy no matter what... a relationship is pretty much doomed before it starts. No spouse can live up to expectations like that, and yet that is exactly what many people expect when they go looking for love. They expect when they find "True Love" it will make their lives magically all better.
As for the thread title, "Why single life" it's because single life rocks. This is the time to be trying new things and solidifying the things you really like. If you're into music, save up for that new keyboard. If you've always wanted to try parasailing, do it now.

10 yrs ago. I Married. I thought it was the answer. I was and still is a christian. For some reasonI have never either a church to attend. So..I married an unbeliever confident I would make her a believer. I.
It didnt work out. So I amtrying hard to be free and still by myself and my boys.
So I play myself tired withmy boys.
Uh..I am just trying to say. I amtrying to see it as a time to take advantage of the extratime to study the source of Love, Jesus, until..
Who knows when times change againg. I tends to go fast when love strikes. Salomo said "dont stir it up let it stir up itself"
I know when one want love its hard to get through with any meaningful comfort.

Search your heart. Be careful if you believe someone else will make you happy. For you do not know what you may get in a relationship. Six years ago I went through my first ever nightmare in a relationship. (A Church girl)
Speaking with members in prayer groups for the hardships I was going through. They mentioned many (women in this case). Jump relationship to relationship hoping to find a man to make them happy. Its only a short term fix. A man can not make a woman happy. And vise versa.
Only Jesus can truly fulfill us if our relationship is right with him. Jesus must be your #1 in life.

all you need is Jesus. For God so love the world........look at the word 'so love the world'. Do you know the meaning? It means nobody can love you the Jesus does. Nobody. All what you need is let him show the love, the true love. then, he will provide for you a loving partner who will make you grow in everything God loves
You know what? I really feel for you younger people. I was already married when I met God. So when we got divorced, I was old enough that God was just enough for me. It's just like...that part of my life - relationships, dating, marriage - I'd already lived it and I didn't need it any more or particularly want it any more. If I'd met Him at a much younger age, it seems it would have been a lot harder, but to be young now, with the dating scene seeming so much more bewildering now than it was when I was younger, AND to be Christian while trying to navigate it, it has to be very challenging...
Look on the bright side,you don't have all of the problems that relationships cause in this world,this world isn't supposed to be like this.
I think that many people aren't aware of that so they change their very nature to conform because they are lonely,needy,ignorant and it is that conformity to a evil world that condemns them to hell.
People aren't supposed to except that cheating,lying and taking advantage of another is normal and acceptable.
Humans aren't meant to be herd animals that follow the rest of the herd just to be comforted by being in the herd.

I just feel the need to warn you, as a newcomer, that there are certain individuals here who make it their mission to inform every newcomer that creepers exist on the internet, and that this is not a dating site. They come off as extremely rude and I know you didn't ask for their opinion, but don't let them ruin the site for you 
You're right that it wasn't supposed to be like this. The fall messed it up and then so we are messed up. We're told that in the endtimes "evil people will go from bad to worse." It can wear on you and get you down at times to see it all. Which makes you long even more for His coming to gather us and detaches your heart from this world even more and focuses it on your future.
We must be content no matter what state we are in (Philippians 4:11). Learning to be content in the Lord is the best thing. Married or not. If someone isn't content with the single life, more than likely he/she won't be content in marriage. When people are not content with being single, they tend to take matters into their own hands and the results tend to be disastrous. Hearts get broken. I've had to learn this myself. I just want to be patient and wait on the Lord. I want to be content and satisfied with Him him no matter what my lot is in life. Whether he sees fit for me to be married or not. I just want Him to know that he'll be enough either way. He'll always be my priority.
