What about when it says they do not sin? This self righteousness you speak of....
If someone is saying they dont sin it could mean that they never sin and plan to sin... (for the mockers and btothers and sisters this not excusing sin this is saying we fall short...

Will you mock this or will you accept that we all can fall away,,,, fall short...

Now Just the other day i was faced with a situation where i was genorouse but not genorouse enough i felt.. i didnt do it intentionally i just like others would do in this situation wondered how much my life was worth and it was certainly not enough to the person who watched me risk my life and then be a total moron...but i was genorouse and just rised above it...Yep its a sin to show ungratefullness which we all do from time to time.. its just sometimes we dont plan it.... it just happens the flesh wins and the mind corrupts the heart..

You have herd it said that if one part of the body doesnt work it effects the rest...

So if you get the mind right and think genorosity a few times a day theres a good chance you may not fall short of ungratefullness..:)

Oh....so since they are closer to your way of thinking you paint them in a positive light, but since you don't agree with what I say you paint me as this guy who is out buying hookers and whatnot. Got it.

Self righteous people with their Christianese language they speak so fluently as the empty rhetoric that it is. Quoting bible verses to bolster their wicked hearts.
Sirk - So you know everyone, we are all the same. Everyone who quotes scripture is
just using it to bolster their wicked hearts. Does this mean no one should quote scripture?

Maybe everyone who quotes scripture each has different issues. Paul says this

Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.
1 Cor 4:5

Now I take the view scripture is scripture and I praise God for it.
As this is the authority I need to understand it, and put it into context.
I wish everyone well who quotes it because it is Gods word.

Jesus did not rebuke satan for quoting scripture, rather he responded with scripture.

And so we need to balance the eternal word of God.
And it is their relationship between God and themselves, not for me to judge or anyone,
except where obvious sin is involved. Beyond this it becomes victimisation and emotional
bias which is sinful in itself.

But if anyone does not care about sinning, then obviously this approach is as good as
any, and actually indicates the state of the spiritual life of the individual concerned.
Fear of God or showing love is less than emotional antipathy which is disobedient and not
walking in the Spirit.

I don't plan to sin, I don't want to sin. At times though (ok a lot of times a thought comes into my mind that I don't reject then I follow it through then the plan is in my mind) Then after calling myself a dumb ass it come to the point of.

Then I come before God and say "Sorry Father I got it wrong, I don't want to do it again, please help me and may in my heart I know that I am forgiven.

Nope not everyone. But those who quote it to claim their sinlessness certainly ain't telling the truth.

Mate if you practice what you preach then you can be like Jesus is what im saying.........

Now you can mock that or you can agree its your choice.......... i told you once ive learned to accept defiance..

you wont win this game with going against my faith cause i ware my faith like a cloak..

This truth if we practice what we preach it is a good works.....Jesus loves those who do this,,,,and why does he like it because i herd his wrath when he say dont be like the pharisse who do not practice what they preach..

So God is calling you to practice.. he wants you to be perfect...

Now what better way to be perfect than to practice his fruits of the spirit,,,, Biggest one being gratefulness..(Kindness)

Could you practice kindness (yes no)

Could you practice darts (yes no) if yes why not practice kindness (a good works..

why would I want to way back from the finished work of Christ on the cross?
Sirk - Do you know what it means to be civil, or actually not behave like a stroppy
child caught miss-behaving?

You paint me a particular was which does not fit either my personality or my writing or
even my theology. So if you characterise me totally wrong and then suggest I have a
strong emotional reaction against an idea which I do not, it suggests you have failed
at a basic level to get anything right.

It makes you look ignorant and stupid. Now I would not want you to fall so easily into
such a position as you appear to have a sincere heart, though jaded, attacking me is
not going to help you, rather it will probably depress you further.

I am interested in righteousness, because our society relies on integrity and a lot of
societies fall into poverty and civil war because they do not have any integrity,
Somalia and Nigeria are two examples that come to mind.

And God cares deeply about integrity, honest measures, murder, sexual abuse.
But when Gods people treat life and death issues like confette I have hurt to the core.
We are the light of the world, a city built on a hill, the salt of the earth.
Without this nothing works, the lights go out, people starve, a country that functions
falls into a bombed out crater like Syria.

But you talk of these things so lightly. So why should I regard you better than any
rebellious sinner who needs restraining before they damage the people they love and
strangers? You appear to only have their wisdom, doubting things that you should
believe in.

You have no idea what I practice. You have only assumed. Then you base your assessment of me off an assumption. Then you say wear your faith as a cloak. Then you say that I mock Jesus. I think the big difference between you and me at least based on what you wrote here....is that I don't consider myself an equal to Jesus Christ.

I've stated openly and honestly that I sin. Sometimes deliberately, like when I get angry about something and drop the f bomb. Or when some knucklehead I work for takes 4 months to pay me and I give him tongue lashing. There are at least 2 people on this thread who think they are equal to Christ. I find it laughable. And not just from the aspect of being able to live day to day without sinning.....but to be able to even physically survive the beating Jesus endured even before he carried the cross up that hill.

well i dont know where your comeing from... is ok to ask for clarity when you say your future sins will be forgiven..

Is it ok to ask you if your planning on commiting a sin...

Is ok to test your spirit... ?

I quite often find that those who become offended by pointing out a point about why some ask if there future sins can be forgiven for a sin there palning on doing,,, are the ones with the wrong motives...

So why are you offended if you not planning on sinning,,, you never made that point clear in you future sins are forgiven thread..

you never stated that you where talking about sins you dont know you will commit... you never... all you said is my future sins will be forgiven..

so please tell me in a public forum where nonesence is being spoke am not allowed to understand what you mean...?

and if you become offended by that,,,,, do you have some motive that isnt quite right ?

Dude you stated something as fact. You did not ask a question.

so again, Back your accusation.

Do you know what different people mean by sinlessness?
One person sinlessness is another persons sinful behaviour.
So unless sin is listed in scripture I would rather focus on walking in the Spirit
and learning to love others.

But you are apparently prepared to say people are lying with no evidence or examples.
Is this your defence on judgement day? I thought they had sins, but I knew nothing about them.
Imagine God sending people to the lake of fire on this basis. They looked like sinners, that was
enough for me. Would you call that justice? And you claim to be an ambassador for Christ, His
example on earth exercising His judgement and insight on others.

when self rightousness declares they have recieved salvation befor they have ascended to heaven...anything is possible...
How is it self righteous to declare you have been saved based on faith not works..

This makes no sense.
