compared to some you may be.

Compared to the 3rd world you are.

Anyway i think being rich or not is not the point Jesus was making.

To me Jesus was making a point the rich young man.

The rich young man said he keeps the whole of the law. I do this and do that. I don't steal, commit adultery, murder, defraud and the rest.

Jesus saw straight away that even though he said he had kept the letter of the law he fell foul of the following

Exodus 20:3
“You shall have no other gods before Me.

The rich young mans wealth was his God.
Yes that is true for some rich men but not all..thats why rich men are sternly warned... as forarmed is fortold...

The rich man is given the warning that in Gods eyes it is alsmost impossible to get to heaven unless you do the Good works of obeying God.. in other words a camel can not pass through an eye of a needle and niether does the rich lazy man go to heaven...at least not straight away... i believe in eternal punishement until the soul is cleansed. ie the prisoners who had not obeyed the lord in the days of noah of the old t,,,,,, who where cast into the spiritual prison but where set free...

So then the lord looked at there crimes and decided when they should be set free...But to where was they set free ?.

God does not MAKE anyone do anything. satan does not MAKE anyone do anything. We choose who we will obey and who we will serve.
The Bible clearly states that many are being held Captive against there will dave...

Unless im miststaken against your will is the oppersite of free will...
You cant put Satan in the same leauge as offering Free will dave he is a rebel and the scum of the earth....He will take over whoever he wants to devour if unless what Dave...

An oxymoron is two statements in conjunction with each other that contradict each other, or two words together that don't make sense. i.e Cruel to be kind, and Deafening silence etc etc

Cause he has never called me one or asked if I am one.

apparently it means

combination of contradictory or incongruous words (as cruel kindness); broadly : something (as a concept) that is made up of contradictory or incongruous elements

'Now that definition is Greek to me, which is quite apt really as The term is first recorded as latinized Greek oxymōrum

[h=1]Romans 13:6New International Version (NIV)[/h] [SUP]6 [/SUP]This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing.

[h=1]Romans 13:6New King James Version (NKJV)[/h] [SUP]6 [/SUP]For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing.

[h=1]Romans 13:6Amplified Bible (AMP)[/h] [SUP]6 [/SUP]For this same reason you pay taxes, for civil authorities are God’s servants, devoting themselves to governance.(work)

Y ES PAYING TAXES IS TITHING

Tithing is an Old Testament concept.

The tithe was a requirement of the Law in which the Israelites were to give 10 percent of the crops they grew and the livestock they raised to the tabernacle/temple
.

In fact, the Old Testament Law required multiple tithes—one for the Levites, one for the use of the temple and the feasts, and one for the poor of the land—which would have pushed the total to around 23.3 percent.

Some understand the Old Testament tithe as a method of taxation to provide for the needs of the priests and Levites in the sacrificial system.

I am not aware of anything being talked about money wise when it comes to tithing (open to correction)

I do believe however under the New Covenant we should be cheerful givers to help those in ministry and to help the needy and the poor.

10 percent was enough then coz people where happy and safe... 33 percent now is more in line with creature comforts lol
