Proof of an accusation

Some love to make others feel guilty of some offence, insult or crime.
It is like hitting the eject button, or total full frontal confrontation.

If they do this to you, you know they have decided you are not giving in
to their propoganda, so they want to do the hatred and anger show, playing
the victim of this terrible criminal and evil person. Now ofcourse it could be
true, except this is a message forum and these are short statements of opinion.

It reminds me of the squid ink defence when in a hard place. Very lame.
In false doctrine we're only one step from Universalism.

I wonder what these predestinationalists are gonna do then?

Really, what a bunch of elitest crap.
How about that? The left really got through, even into Christianity.

Rich is bad.

Education is bad.

Understanding is bad.

Big business is bad.

White privilege is bad.

Bad is "elitist."

We're back to the Dark Ages and actually chose to get here! Fantastic! Aren't we proud! Now all we need is the icons to teach us, because education is bad. Oh wait! Even got that covered. They're called "memes."

Our indoctrination is complete! Praise be, Big Brother!

Why do you hate this woman so much, Utah?
How is it that you think you know her heart?
You keep talking about her hatred while saying hateful things.
And I haven't seen her say hateful things in here to you.
I see the hateful things coming out of your mouth, not hers.
And now you are judging her outwardly, by her smoking of cigarettes?
I wish you would stop doing this harm to yourself.
Did she say something in the past that hurt you...?
I really did. I disagreed with him and his friend.

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? 6 And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.
2 Cor 13:5-6

Do you believe someone can know all of scripture, believe on Christ, walk like a believer
yet there hearts are hard, they have not been cleansed and all kinds of wickedness comes
into their minds and hearts, and is spoken from them though they do not know why?

Yes I know this is possible. Preachers have laboured away and then finally discovered they
had copied others and never resolved the reality in their hearts.

Do you love Christ like a desire that brings joy to your heart, that you want to raise the
roof in praise to the King? Then amen, you know the Lord. Do you love those you meet,
or are they always a challenge, something you put up with? Love still has work to do in
you.

If your heart still condemns you, there are real issues you need to resolve and bring to
God. There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus who walk in the Spirit.

This is the testimony of spiritual reality. It is not a statement of faith, that you are
forgiven, even though you continually are bound to issues or behaviour.

You need to work through these things before the Lord and possibly with others, to
bring you balance in His word. It may be wrong understanding, or you have not accepted
you are forgiven, or you have not resolved a lot of things. It is not something anyone should
ignore and just say, God accepts me, so it is all alright. That is not repentance.
The Lord can and does resolve these issues, which is why the cross is our hope and truth.

I agree with everything but your last point.

God did not make me alive so I could chose him.. He did not unstop my dead ear. The HS convicts the WORLD of sin righteousness and judgment,

I chose to hear what the HS said, and believe it, this allowed him to teach me the gospel (about Jesus) and I chose to have faith in it.

No one will have an excuse. Because the HS convicts everyone,, they have to chose to agree.. The only unpardonable sin is disagreement.. It is rejecting what the HS came to do. Which was to convict you of sin, convict you of righteousness, and convict you (convince you) that you are judged because you have sinned.
Then to my thinking, some part of your saving came from within you. You made a good choice. It was your doing. Another man makes a bad choice - it is his doing. So both mens saving or not, comes from them and their choice. But the verse has to somehow be fit in that I chose you. You did not choose me. And another verse has to be fit in - no one does good, no one seeks for God.

I can agree that AFTER a man is healed of his blindness and deafness, then he makes some choices every day. To trust or to follow the world in many different matters, comes up every day. It's a struggle.

John 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 ¶ And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Jesus is the true Light of God and He lights every man that cometh into the world. So we must ask is every man every man? If so then predestination cannot be pre determination or pre selection for condemnation or salvation.

I'm not being critical, but why pray? Prayer does nothing for the lost. If they have been elected, God's going to save them anyway whether you pray or not. Prayer helps nothing.
Oh you foolish man. God commands us to pray for the lost so that He may use it in His purposes. Are denying that God uses that prayer in His purposes? If He elects man He will arrange for prayer for that man that we sinful men might be participators in the working out of His will.

He's not trying to be false or deceitful. He loves God and he's your brother.
I'm not sure about that. I'm not saying I disagree, but I find it hard to believe anyone is a God follower when they spend all their time angry at everyone else who disagrees with them. And I do get backsliding and being furious with God. But even then, I was angry with God, not his peeps. When there is nothing but anger, is God in that person? If you "finding God" makes you nothing but angry, did you find God? Did God find you? Does God save people to make them perpetually angry at everyone else? I'm really not sure.

Pars Deo Gloria! = Partially to God's glory.

Pars Hominis Gloria! = Partially to man's glory.

Soli Hominis Gloria! = All to man's glory.

Soli Deo Gloria! = All to God's glory.
Aw, thanks! I had Latin eons ago but kept thinking "par means for." (Eons ago.)

John 12:32King James Version (KJV)

32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

All men are drawn, but not all men accept the calling.
Then "accepting the calling" saves?

I really did. I disagreed with him and his friend.
Yes, but did you disagree as you do now, respectfully, or did you do it as you used to do in the past, which was brutal and made us all fear speaking with you?

Because if he is holding a grudge for the way you spoke to him in the past, that is very dangerous for him, and you should do all you can to make amends so that he won't go on in the harm of unforgiveness. God has blessed you and given you control of your tongue. A lot of prayers of thanks have gone up for how He has blessed you because all have seen your improvement and blessing in this. Use that blessing well. Try to make peace. Then, if he insists on not forgiving, you will have done all that is required to make peace and the ball is in his court.

I marvel all the time over how I used to fear speaking with you and now I love to speak with you. I go searching for your posts now. :)

To all appearances, I might say just that. None of them knows God currently. But then, someone may have thought that about me for 4 decades too for all I know. I have no idea if He is waiting for some of them to be ready for love or not. Is it painful? Yes. Does that make me stop hoping or stop praying? No. How do I know He may not grant them faith and repentance to their saving? Am I going to deal with the pain of having family members who don't know Him by claiming I was saved by my own good choice and they are doomed because of their own bad choice? I had nothing to do with my saving. From start to finish it has been Him - the author and finisher of my faith.
I actually answered that question many pages ago. In this case, "There are none so blind, as he who does not want to see."

You were very angry with me in the past, lynn. You were fearfully mad at me. You have forgiven me. I have forgiven you.
You yourself recently said you were striving with your tongue and trying to speak differently.

Wow another my faith saves my quoting of Scripture out of context, why don't you take it to it's final conclusion, because it doesn't fit your doctrine, is that why?

10-13 "He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God."

What's the context of this verses you posted, that God gave them the right to be children of God, it's not because of genealogy, their chose or a husbands will, because they are born of God.

I'm not saying anyone who believe they saved themselves is not a believer, what I m going to say/ask is does anyone that believes that read a book on hermeneutics? And have you ever thought that the Bible as a whole is the greater context of the Scriptures?

Like in the Gospels the call for repentance is going out to Jews who has been chosen because of the fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, because God set His love on the fathers and their offspring. So anytime there is a call for Israel to chose life or death, to believe or receive to have faith or repent, it's in the context of them being chosen by God already? That in the Gospels and the epistles God has revealed more to us, like John 1:12-13 or that the context of John 3:16 is in 3:17-21 where the conclusion is salvation is accomplished by God, like the rest of the Bible. You know "salvation belongs to the Lord"

God bless you too...if God has already elected man unto salvation, man's prayer is not participating in anything. His purpose has already been determined, thus your prayers matter for nothing. Cover it how you want, but that's the truth if one believes that God has already determined man's salvation. Prayer means absolutely nothing!

I see your point.

As a matter of fact, if predestination of saved souls were true, praying for someone's salvation could be against God's will.

What people fail to realise is all our emotions or reactions are to do with us not others.
So when someone gets angry at everyone, there is something they see which is real
for them, but is something unresolved in their own life projected onto those they
meet.

This will distract from everything they do, and what the Lord is doing or has done
in their lives. The fact this is so dominant in their lives, something has gone very
wrong. This is not Jesus working in them, but some emotional trauma working its
way through. Only when this is resolved can a clearer picture be made.

Same book and everything. There's a reason John wrote more than one verse, because everything he wrote was important, not just one verse. I've posted this several times in this thread alone:
John 3:19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.

And what changed that condition?
John 3:21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

Then "accepting the calling" saves?
Through faith in Jesus Christ.
John 3:14-15
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
[SUP]15 [/SUP]That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

It is each individual’s choice to believe and accept or not: Hebrews 3 gives this warning and instruction about how we should make that choice.

Hebrews 3:15-19 King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]15 [/SUP]While it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
[SUP]19 [/SUP]So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Seems to me, this scripture is saying people can choose to harden their hearts and not believe or they can choose to believe and be saved and enter in to Jesus’ rest. If that’s not the case then why the warning to not harden their hearts?
