has anyone read the unparadonable sin verses and got scared and deal with bad thoughts after that did you get through it? I deal with it and its so discourages i dont get why i deal with it and some people read it and never got scared. :((((( I just want to know i am forgiven no matter what i deal with :(((
 
If you had done the unpardonable sin... your conscience would have been seared and you wouldn't give a fat rat's backside about God or salvation. Darkness would have set in and you just wouldn't care anymore.

So, satan is just yankin yer chain so tell him "GIT in Jesus Name!" and don't listen to his lies anymore.

Get back to the joy of walking with Jesus, your first love and don't look back!

The unpardonable sin was the complete denial of the Holy Spirit's witness through Jesus' ministry, including the apostles.

If you remember, the first generation of Israel that came up out of the land of Egypt did not enter into the promised land, but they were all killed off, with the exception of Joshua and Caleb, in the wilderness until their children would grow up and possess it. What was their unpardonable sin, in which God said, "I swore in my wrath, they shall not enter my rest?" It was their constant unbelief and rejection of the Holy Spirit through all of the miracles and the ministry of Moses.

If you have turned from your sins and have come to trust in Jesus Christ and his atonement on the cross for your sins, then you are eternally secure in Christ. However, if you are living a undisciplined and ungodly life, examine yourself to see if you are in the faith and repent. If you will not, Christ's sacrifice will not benefit you at all. Those apostasy verses are to sober the Christian to pursue godliness in the fear of God, not to keep your salvation by works, you cannot do that, but to show forth fruit of his salvation in your life.
 
but i am asking you guys have you got fear of reading the verses and dealt with it and what did you do? I feel so alone dealing with this seems like its getting harder :((((

I read those verses and I examine myself to see if I am in the faith. They should frighten you to a point, to keep you from thinking that living sin is okay in the sight of God. It is to warn you, to keep you sober in godliness.

To comfort yourself, look to John 10 where Jesus says thus,

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one" (John 10:27-30).

He will complete the work he has begun in you, he will not abandon what he has started:

"I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ" (Phil. 1:6).

You are in the palms of Christ, he will not permit you to fall away, if indeed your faith is true and not temporal.

You are going by "feelings"... go by faith in what God says in His Word and choose to put His promises above and before your "feelings" which will pass as you stand on God's promises.

Do you have scripture versus that promise salvation? Do you read them to yourself out load and thank / praise the Lord for saving you???
 
Keep your minds on all things beautiful.....

What is written on the subject is readily available in the Word...that should suffice.

Yes when I first read it I wondered if I had committed the unpardonable sin, so I ask my pastor, he said if you had you wouldn't be asking this question.

Not exactly right......The Pharisees lied against the Holy Spirit and said Jesus healed by Beelzebub (Satan) and Jesus told them they could blaspheme him or the Father, but not the Holy Spirit, of Course the Holy Spirit had 2000 years of work to do so God was not going to allow people to lie on the Holy Spirit.

If someone heals by the Holy Spirit and we say they are hucksters or of the Devil, then we are in danger. Unless God specifically lets you know I wouldn't say someone is doing the work of Satan. Of course if people worship Satan etc. etc. that's different.
 
The case of the "unpardonable sin/unforgivable sin" or "blasphemy of the Holy Spirit" is mentioned in Mark 3:22-30 and Matthew 12:22-32. This case of blasphemy, however, is a specific one called "the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" in Matthew 12:31. In this passage, the Pharisees, having witnessed irrefutable proof that Jesus was working miracles in the power of the Holy Spirit, claimed instead that He was possessed by the demon Beelzebub (Matthew 12:24). In Mark 3:30, Jesus is very specific about what exactly they did to commit "the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit." This unpardonable sin was a manifestation of their unbelief. There is no pardon for continued unbelief (John 3:18).

That goes for any of the works of the Holy Spirit, Him regenerating sinners or making the alive in Christ and saying that is from the devil or a doctrine of demons, any doctrine attributed to the devil or demons is not a good idea, because the Holy Spirit teaches us and leads us in all truth.

People read just the end of the verse... but does anybody wonder what does the first part mean?

All sins will be forgiven to unbelievers? Why? How? When?

If it is about unbelievers, when will they sins forgiven?

If it is about believers, why the blasphemy will not be forgiven?

Or is the first part about believers and the second one about unbelievers? Its quite hard to grasp such a shift of a perspective in one sentence.

It's not a popular view, but I think several (many) teachings of Scripture in Medieval times were deliberately interpreted by the Clergy to instill a large degree of 'controlling' fear among congregants they hoped to restrict in their actions. And, not only did the church of the ensuing centuries retain those erroneous "doctrines" and dogmas, but many of them even added a few of their own.

You are simply the natural product of that abuse.... as were many of us. It takes some real guts to read the Bible for yourself when your obvious understanding may fly in the face of much you were inculcated with in your formative years.

I don't claim to understand the verse you are talking about. One possible answer is that if we commit the unpardonable sin, we need to apologize to the Lord.

Yes, it looks very scary, but is not that bad.

Blasphemy means denying the Godly nature of something.

Blasphemia = slander

The slander against Jesus was that he was not the son of God. This blasphemous belief lead to Jesus' crucifixion, because he was tried and found guilty of claiming to be God, which the priests & Jewish leadership refused to accept. Of course this blasphemy was totally pardoned, provided the Jews accepted that they had sinned in ignorance, and sought forgiveness. ( See OT definition of sin of ignorance).

Any rejection of Christ after his resurrection though ceased to be a sin of ignorance, (and became wilful sin), as Jesus had proven his Godhead. So Jesus was warning the priests, Jews, et al, that once he had proven his Godhead, if they continued to reject him, they were heading for big trouble - the Great Wrath, that is to say the Destruction of Jerusalem.
