What hogwash! Since when has anywhere near the majority of false teaching come from women? Where does the Bible say that women are more likely to be deceived? All Genesis says is that Eve "was deceived". It says nothing about any other woman on that subject.
Then look back in the last 200 years. How many sects and cults were foundet ore influenced from woman!

I think that men based more cults and sects than women :)

Which does not mean anything, because such things cannot be simply counted like apples.

we startin a gender war in here?

geez the question calls for scripture to see if any woman as ever been called to teach a man anything

the answer is yes

luke 2:36-38

36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;
37 And she [was] a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served [God] with fastings and prayers night and day.
38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

now remember

1st john 2:27

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

we dont NEED any teacher man or woman

" If you are called, you won't find peace until you answer that call. "

Yeah that one is the kicker.
.thanks for your prayers, Billyd.

If your post were a checklist, the answers all would be yes.

Really I don't want to go against God's word and this thread is for me to hear why folks object so strongly and pray about their reasons and see if I feel that God is really saying no woman pastors.

Or what folks really think are the duties of pastors are anyway?

A woman's ministry:

Careful eisegesis makes it clear the "tongues of fire" in Acts 2 symbolize the flame in each woman's kitchen, and that her cooking ministry has been settled forever in heaven!

How could any woman leave such a holy calling whilst her husband pleads earnestly to the heavens for fluffy biscuits?

Woe unto the woman who leaves her ministry, who destroys the gaunt and hungry man, who leaves him to die by the foulness of his own wretched cooking!

Woe!

Sadness and woe.
Lol and this is why we love you. No clue how I missed this post.

Ariel82, in response to your thread title, Prisca and Aquila taught Apollos in Acts. Many people argue that Prisca was 'subservient' to Aquila, but Paul puts her name first in more than one place. I'm away from my references at the moment but can post them later if you need them.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
[SUP]28 [/SUP]For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ. Acts 18:26-28

And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them. Acts 18:12
Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: Acts 16:3
And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow. Acts 18:18
You mean these verses posted earlier?

With Priscilla & Aquila, Bible scholars agree that the reason her name is first is because she was the leading minister of the team.

It's been my experience that husband/wife missionary teams do the best job by far. Their strength as a team is more than the sum of the two.

Ecclesiastes 4:
9Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. 10For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.11Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? 12And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.

That is one of my favorite verses Stephen.

Reminded me of the importance of other people in our Christian walk.

Also, we see in the Old Testament prophetesses that spoke God's word with His authority to kings, priests, even the whole nation of Israel. There are prophetesses in the NT also.

How can we believe against that? That would be fighting against God & His will.

I am a bible scholar and I see nothing in the bible that would support the idea that Priscilla was "leading" her husband. The whole idea is grasping at straws. There are plenty of strong Christian woman and men, and I see no difference except in one area, the bible is clear that in an assembly(church gathering) the men are to do the talking(therefore leading). This is not up for debate, it is a command from God, we either accept it or reject it. It is not about me being a man, I have no desire to have any authority over anyone, male or female, this is about instruction from God.

Minute 2.48

He says there is nothing to limit the passage to husbands and wives in 1 Timothy 2 v 7-14....

Why didn't he include verse 15?

King James Bible
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

1 Timothy 2:15 ►

If it is to married couples then it is Paul again reminding women to submit to the authority of their husbands and not nag them.

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

i think everyone understands the authority aspect now

but what about when women are supposed to teach..... saith God
