Water is life and it is actually something that can affect our health more than anything else in both a good way and bad way. I bet 80% of everyone who reads this doesn't drink enough water me included. being hydrated is more important than we realize , if we are hydrated our blood flows better and thus our body functions better our immune system works better and we fell better in general.

often times when we feel fatigued we blame it on sleep or the stress of the day but a lot of time it's a lack of water in our system. if we are dehydrated for so long we no longer recognize we are dehydrated and our health decreases and our bodies move slower we get stressed easier we get sick easier we get headaches and just don't feel good in general. 70% of our body is water so if that much of our body is water and yet we aren't getting enough of it you can imagine how it might affect us it especially affects how well we sleep if you didn't know that.

how do you know if you don't have enough water in your body? well pay attention to your urine, if it's yellow that means you don't have enough water in your body if it's clear then your golden though there will always be that slight tint of yellow in it.
So in conclusion drink lots and lots of water even if you have to put flavoring in it

I read on a lot of health thingies that you have to have 8 or so cups a day. Of course I hear too it's good to make sure you have a Gatorade every so often to add some salts and electrolytes

Halve your body weight in pounds and drink that many ounces of water every day :)

Or take your body weight in kilos and drink that many ounces per day... :D

It should be roughly the same, give or take a few ounces

Too much water can be bad. I was a USPS mail deliver, back in the day, I would literally drink 1 gallian a day on my rout, walking in 90 degree or so temperature. When I went to drug test for a new job my urine was too diluted and did not get the job because of it. The moral of the story is don’t deliver mail or it proves everything in moderation is the best.

Like the drug addicts are doing before doing drug tests.

This is the first time reading this thread. I felt to do one as this last week, and noticed on the bottom of the page you did one, and here I am. I believe God is trying to send a message, because he loves us, and yes your right, we need to care for our bodies, for the spirit of The Son of God, dwells with us. It's a far fetch to say God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit abounds with us, leads us, teaches us, and is within us, Galations 4:6 but it says so. Great thread, a second message. Care for your self. For your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Despite Taylor Coleridge's superior claim, this will always remind me of Gene Wilder :D.

But, don't drink too much water! :) My brother is very prone to heat stroke so they tell him not to drink JUST water as this will actually cause dehydration by flushing all the electrolytes out of your body. So while he drinks a ton of water, he also keeps up on the electrolytes...just throwing that out there. In case anyone has found drinking water doesn't work for you, this could be why.

I don't know the Gene Wilder reference. :( I always think about the Rime of the Ancient Mariner and the killing of the albatross. It seems especially horrible to kill birds, for some reason- moreso than other animals. Maybe it is because they fly and sing (although I do not know if an albatross can sing).

In Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Gene Wilder at one point comments "bubbles bubbles everywhere, and not a drop to drink". It was a deliberate spinoff from the Rime of the Ancient Mariner. And I think you would be very disappointed to hear an albatross' "song" :D
