are the words of Jude the perverted thinking of the natural mind?

Jude 1:7
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

the word for strange is eteras meaning of uncertain origin.
Beside being a rabbit trail you are further proving my point by not dealing with the context of the OP about the sons of God and agin here you twist the verse to fit you theory. But I'll how you how you have taken this out of context.

Just 4-7
For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

5
Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day— 7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

This is so simple I do not understand why anyone can take this out of context, yes I do they read into it what they believe instead of believing what they read. Notice the angels are "
kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment" they are being served until judgement, why were they judged, "who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling" so the angels were judged for not staying in their original position, not for any other reason and Peter adds in I Peter 2:4 they were cast into tartarus, they were immediately judged, cast into tartarus, kept in eternal chains of darkness until judgement.

Explain how they had time to come to earth and marry women and have children while they are in tartarus in sternal chains of darkness? They can't. As far as strange flesh, the ESV translates it rightly "unnatural desires" and the context is Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in
sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desires, they are an example of God's judgement as are those in the wilderness and the angels, who were already judged before the Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding cities. The point is that those cities were judged as were the angels and those in the wilderness. NOT a proof text for the fallen angel in Genesis 6:2, 4 non-sense.

Thanks for proving my point all the more by avoiding the context of the history of the story. It you had that much zeal for the truth yu would of taken those Scriptures and would of done the contextual exegete to prove you point as right, but you know you can that's why you keep avoiding it and bring up rabbit trails.

We'll see who has the last laugh go to post #352 and brake it down contextually as done in that post to prove your non-sense, as jaybird says IHO not the fact of his contextual exegete of Genesis 4:11-5:32 to determine who the daughters are being born to. Then in that context of Genesis 4:11-6:1 show how fallen angels are the contextual outcome in Genesis 6:2, 4, it can not be done, unless you twist the Scriptures or go outside the context or outside the Bible.

The Elohim are mentioned in chapters 2 and 3 as those to whom YHWH is speaking when He mentions 'us'. Cherubim 'suddenly' appear in ch 3. Thus the bene Elohim of ch 6. continues on the theme, 'Bene' signifies 'those like' (e.g. the sons of Belial' etc). Supernatural beings keep on 'suddenly appearing' in Genesis.

Why do you think no one has done this to shut me up, because it can't be done,
I have done it, but no one can shut you up even though you are wrong

have at the contextual exegete of Genesis 4:11-6:1 to show how fallen angels are the sons of God.
As sons of God are not previously mentioned we have to decide at ch 6 what they are. But the Elohim as supernatural beings ARE mentioned in chs 2 & 3. See above. Bene Elohim also appear in Job parallel with the morning stars where they are clearly angels.

All jaybird does is come up with rabbit trails, he won't deal with the true meaning of the text
You have God's special revelation I suppose. The text NOWHERE refers to bene Elohim when if the lines were 'sons of God' it could easily have been said.

Brother I do not believe these are angels fallen or other wise. The idea that fallen angels had sex with women if the perverted thinking of the natural mind.

It was not physical sex as you know it. It was what is now called 'demon intercourse'. The same goes on today in some circles. But we first got the idea FROM the Scriptures.

The reason I keep making this challenge is because if you can not exegete the context of these Scriptures, you will pervert others as well.
What other perversions have you manufactured? Your exegesis is naïve in the extreme

Everyone that holds and regurgitates this non-sense have an attitude that they have this special understanding of the Bible by reading books outside of the Bible and twisting other verses to fit their teaching.
That is simply a LIE. I got my view from the Scripture by correct exegesis when I realised how foolish the line of Seth eisegesis was.

I am not talking commentaries, I'm talking about books that people what to hold in the same esteem as the Bible.
you're talking nonsense.

They make immature comments, but they will not do an contextual exegete of the Scriptures in question to prove their point of fallen angels in Genesis 6:2, 4, because as you seen they take 6:4 to mean something it does not contextually say and by that they twist the rest of the context of the Scriptures in question.
I am satisfied that it fits the whole context, of Scripture. So it does contextually say it. We do not need to twist the Scriptures like you are doing. We accept that the daughters of 'adam are the daughters previously spoken of as 'adamites and therefore of the line of Seth. In the previous contexts the word 'adam is connected with Seth not with Cain. Cain is called 'ish.,

Bene Elohim NEVER refers to men in the OT. Why should this mention be different?

It's been two weeks or more since I've made this challenge and well keep doing it.
lol and its two weeks since I showed you your arguments for your view were nonsense

To show that these that teach this have not contextual evidence to their teaching.
There is NO contextual evidence for your views.

The whole context is sensuality and sexual immorality. It fits what happened at Gen 6.1-4 perfectly :)

This is so simple I do not understand why anyone can take this out of context
Read it again. THEN you MAY see the context.

, yes I do they read into it what they believe instead of believing what they read.
THAT describes you aptly

Notice the angels are "
kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment" they are being served until judgement, why were they judged, "who did not stay within their own position (of authority), but left their proper dwelling" so the angels were judged for not staying in their original position, not for any other reason

and how did they change their position (of authority is read in)? Gen 6.1-4 gives the answer. This is the ONLY Scriptural reference to theirfall

and Peter adds in I Peter 2:4 they were cast into tartarus, they were immediately judged, cast into tartarus, kept in eternal chains of darkness until judgement.

Explain how they had time to come to earth and marry women and have children while they are in tartarus in sternal chains of darkness?

They went to Tartarus after they had indulged in Gen 6.1-4, and because of it.

As far as strange flesh, the ESV translates it rightly "unnatural desires" and the context is Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in
sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desires,

You mean you select the translation that suits you? Sodom and Gomorrha are mentioned because they LIKEWISE acted immorally. EXEGESIS! :)

they are an example of God's judgement as are those in the wilderness and the angels, who were already judged before the Sodom, Gomorrah and the surrounding cities.
where does it refer to angels in 'Sodom and Gomorrah and surrounding cities'? EXEGESIS please not eisegesis.

The point is that those cities were judged as were the angels and those in the wilderness.
NOT the angels connected with Sodom only.

NOT a proof text for the fallen angel in Genesis 6:2, 4 non-sense.
I don't believe in proof texts. Peter and Jude weren't trying to prove anything about Gen 6. They simply referred to it.

There is NO contextual evidence for your views.
You are right the is no contextual evidence for fallen angel being the sons of God in Genesis 6:2, 4, at least someone has admitted it.

Thank you for proving my point, all you've done is shown you can post rabbit trails. You did not even touch the
txt or the context of the text. As far as shutting me up and me being wrong. Go from Genesis 4:11-6:1 and prove it. But you won't because you can't. Take the challenge of post # 352 and prove me wrong. That's all anyone does, because they can't go from Genesis 4:11-6:1 to show that 6:2, 4 are fallen angels or they don't know what contextual exegete means.

Thanks for proving my point again.

what about Gen 2-3? I said YOUR views. So you believe it now? :)

Try to read it again without your biased spectacles on. :)

As far as shutting me up and me being wrong. Go from Genesis 4:11-6:1 and prove it.
I have done. The only daughters mentioned in the context were Seth and his line's daughters (ch 5). And only Seth is called 'adam. Thus the daughters of men ('adam) are Seth's.

Johnny B You are so adamant that there is no contextual evidence for the 'sons of God' being angels, unless you speak Hebrew. No. The bible does not say, in English, that the sons of God are angels. Go celebrate... Prove now, that 'sons of God' is people. Its on you now boy.

I will repost to make it easier for you to read and you can see what I'm talking about.

Contextual exegete of Genesis 4:11-6:8

As mentioned the line is Adam, the son of God, with Abel to carry out that line. Since Cain killed Able, "And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth,For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” Genesis 4:25 in verses 26 "And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord." Seth, "Put; who puts; fixed" (Hitchcock's Bible names - Bible Dictionary) Eve name Seth-fixed, what Cain destroyed, for her Seed to be carried on, was fixed in Seth. Did Seth that brought back the line to carry her Seed, named his son Enosh-mortal, because with him Adam's line would continue, as in 5:3. Seth was born after the likeness of his image.

Adam's line the son of God, Luke 3:23, 36-38 "Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,……………..36 the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech, 37the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalel, the son of Cainan, 38the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God."

No mention of Cain, why? Because Cain we will see, goes out from the presences of the Lord wandering as a fugitive. With his genealogy following his image, Lamech killed a young man, 4:23. So Cain's line was wandering outside of the presence of the Lord, Nod means wandering.

Genesis 4:9-24 “Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know; am I my brother's keeper?” 10And the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground. 11And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. 12When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.” 13Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” 15Then the Lord said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him. 16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden. 17And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son—Enoch. 18To Enoch was born Irad; and Irad begot Mehujael, and Mehujael begot Methushael, and Methushael begot Lamech. 19Then Lamech took for himself two wives: the name of one was Adah, and the name of the second was Zillah. 20And Adah bore Jabal. He was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. 21His brother’s name was Jubal. He was the father of all those who play the harp and flute. 22And as for Zillah, she also bore Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron. And the sister of Tubal-Cain was Naamah. 23Then Lamech said to his wives: “Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; Wives of Lamech, listen to my speech! For I have killed a man for wounding me, even a young man for hurting me. 24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, then Lamech seventy-sevenfold.”

Notice i
n Genesis 4:12 He says he will be a fugitive and a wanderer 16, it tells us that Cain went out for the presents of the Lord, he built a city called Nod meaning wandering, after he knew his wife, verse 17.

What does that mean, because we know that the Lord is everywhere, because we know the the Lord is omnipresent. Does this simply mean that Cain and his genealogy were wardering outside the presence of the Lord, is them not following or being present with the Lord, as we'll see that Adam's line began to call on the name of the Lord in 4:26. Out of all the genealogy of Cain, there is only one daughter mentioned Naamah, verse 22, she was Tubal-Cain’s sister. Murder runs in Cain’s genealogy, verse 23 Lamech tells his wives, that he killed a young man for hurting him. Cain and his genealogy were wandering outside the presence of the Lord.

Genesis 4:25-5:32 “And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” 26And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to call on the name of the Lord. 1This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. 3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. 4 After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he had sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died. 6 Seth lived one hundred and five years, and begot Enosh. 7 After he begot Enosh, Seth lived eight hundred and seven years, and had sons and daughters. 8 So all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died. 9 Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan. 10 After he begot Cainan, Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and had sons and daughters. 11 So all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died. 12 Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalalel. 13 After he begot Mahalalel, Cainan lived eight hundred and forty years, and had sons and daughters. 14 So all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died. 15 Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared. 16 After he begot Jared, Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years, and had sons and daughters. 17 So all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died. 18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch. 19 After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters. [SUB]20 [/SUB]So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died 21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. 22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. 25 Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech. 26 After he begot Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had sons and daughters. 27 So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died. 28 Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and had a son. 29 And he called his name Noah, saying, “This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord has cursed.” 30 After he begot Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and had sons and daughters. 31 So all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died. 32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.”

This genealogy of Adam had sons and daughters, verse 4. Seth had son and daughters, verse 7. Enosh had sons and daughters, verse 10. Cainan had sons and daughters, verse 13. Mahalalel had sons and daughters, verse 16. Jared had sons and daughters, verse 19. Enoch had sons and daughters, verse 22. Methuselah had sons and daughters verse 26. Lamech had sons and daughters, verse 30. Remember the mention of one sister/daughter for Cain's genealogy. This is the genealogy of Adam the son of God.

Genesis 6:1 “Now it came to pass, when men (line of Cain) began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them(the line of Cain),”

This is the multiplication of Cain’s genealogy, because 4:25-5:32 was the multiplication of the genealogy of Adam with 8 verses detailing that the sons of Adam the son of God, had sons and daughters. Genesis 6:1 picks up where Genesis 4:16-24 left off, with Cain’s genealogy having sons and daughters or multiplying on the face of the earth. In Genesis 4:14 He says he will be a fugitive and a wanderer 16, it tells us that Cain went out for the presents of the Lord, verse 26 Adam's genealogy, at that time people began to call on the name of the Lord. Is this a sign that Adam's genealogy began to be in that covenant that Adam had with the Lord? It sounds like it, when you compare Cain's line, wandering outside the presence of the Lord and a member killing as did the fugitive Cain.

Here's my contextual exegetical conclusion of the stories of those two genealogies, being told in Genesis 4:11-6:1.

Genesis 6:2 “that the sons of God (line of Adam) saw the daughters of men(line of Cain), that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose”

Where are fallen angels introduced into the contextual lines of Adam and Cain? In the context of the history of man before the flood? With the Seed being the main story line, From Genesis to Revelation the Bible is about Jesus, His coming, His life, His return. Noah is in the line from Adam to Jesus or from Jesus to Adam, with all that being in the overall context of the Bible and chapter 4 and 5, Cain's line and Adam's line with Adam's line to carry on the Seed (Jesus), is the immediate context. Why would the Holy Spirit introduce fallen angels into the context of the immediate story and the overall story?

Genesis 6:3, 5-8 “Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in[a] man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.….5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord."

With the context of Genesis 4:11-24 about Cain and his the genealogy, men, his lines women, daughters of men Genesis 6:1, after the mention of one daughter/sister in Genesis 4:22 her name
Naaman. Genesis 4:25-5:32 the line of Adam the son of God, his line (of men) sons of God, that had both sons and daughters. With the two lines marrying in Genesis 6:2, the multiplication of Cain genealogy Genesis 6:1, the results of those unions Genesis 6:4 the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. The Lord's reaction to the wickedness of man, Genesis 6:3, 5-7, the Lord is not judging because the daughters of men and the sons of God married and had children, the Lord is judging because meant was wicked in his heart continually and for no other reason. With one man finding grace with the Lord, Noah, Genesis 6:8, part of the line from Adam to Jesus, Luke 3:36.

Genesis 6:4 “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward (what days?), when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children (who were they?) to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.

The mighty men of old, the men of renown, were the children, not the Niphilim, they were already on the earth, in those days.

How did angels get into that context, if the sons of God are not the line of Adam and Cain's women are not the daughters of men in the immediate context of Genesis 4:9-5:32 and Genesis 6:3, 5-8?

It doesn't fit, nor the overall context, with "her Seed" being the coming Messiah and Adam's genealogy goes to Jesus with Noah in that line.

Fallen angels do not fit the context, you have to read into the story, go out of context, pull verse out of context and go outside of the Bible, to try and make a case that the "sons of God" as being fallen angels and to say they are not fallen, is even harder to prove. Because once they leave their first estate, they were cast into tartarus and are reserved in eternal chains of darkness until judgement, that does sound like an angel that is in good standing with God, to be called His son.

Again the challenge is to show from Genesis 4:9-5:32 how this is not the genealogies of Adam and Cain. With 6:1 not being Cain’s genealogy multiplying on the face of the earth or sons and daughters being born to them. Since Genesis 5:4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 26 and 30, show daughters being born to Adams genealogy. Genesis 6:3, 5-8 being about man, how fallen angels fit into Genesis 6:2, 4?

Bring your contextual exegete, following these lines of the context to prove that the sons of God are fallen angels. I'll even abridge it for you

Contextual exegete of Genesis 4:11-6:8

Abridged

Adam, the son of God, with Abel to carry out that line. Adam's line the son of God, Luke 3:23-38. No mention of Cain, why? Because Cain we will see, goes out from the presences of the Lord wandering as a fugitive, Genesis 4:12, 16.

Cain and his genealogy, Genesis 4:11-4:24. Notice in Genesis 4:12 He says he will be a fugitive and a wanderer 16, it tells us that Cain went out for the presents of the Lord, he built a city called Nod meaning wandering, after he knew his wife, verse 17.

Adam and his genealogy, Genesis 4:25-5:32.

Genesis 6:3, 5-8 “Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.….5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

With the context of Genesis 4:11-24 about Cain and his the genealogy, men, his lines women, daughters of men Genesis 6:1, after the mention of one daughter/sister in Genesis 4:22 her name Naaman.

This is a contextual exegete of Genesis 4:11-6:1, 3, 5-7, 8, follow this line of contextual exegete, to prove that Genesis 6:2, 4 are fallen angels.

This is so simple I do not understand why anyone can take this out of context, yes I do they read into it what they believe instead of believing what they read. Notice the angels are "
kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment" they are being served until judgement, why were they judged, "who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling" so the angels were judged for not staying in their original position, not for any other reason and Peter adds in I Peter 2:4 they were cast into tartarus, they were immediately judged, cast into tartarus, kept in eternal chains of darkness until judgement.

why would they be judged for leaving their estate, the Most High sends angels down here all the time so making the trip from there to here is not what they were judged for.
Explain how they had time to come to earth and marry women and have children while they are in tartarus in sternal chains of darkness?

taking women is the act they were judged for, the judgment came after that.

"unnatural desires" is sexual immorality? so the passage should read that they indulged in sexual immorality AND sexual immorality. that makes no sense at all

Thanks for proving my point all the more by avoiding the context of the history of the story. It you had that much zeal for the truth yu would of taken those Scriptures and would of done the contextual exegete to prove you point as right, but you know you can that's why you keep avoiding it and bring up rabbit trails.
avoiding the context? by this you mean ignoring the fact that angels were in Sodom and every man from town went crazy wanting to get with them. every man, from every part of the city, young and old, surrounding the house? that sounds very very very extreme. all this just to have immoral sex, why not just have immoral sex with each other, what made those in Lots home so different? they were angels, of unknown origin just like Jude confirms.

The Hebrew word for sons in both the genesis chapter of the OP, and in Job is the same word. Angels have a different word, actually there are a few different words for angel in Hebrew.

Unless angels have some kind of mission to build the family unit...the Hebrew is alluding to men.

that would be because angel is a specific heavenly being with a specific job. just like heavenly host, angels are messengers, host are warriors. they are both "sons of" as they are both creations of the Father but with different jobs.
you think the "sons of" in Job are men? men present at the time of creation before men were created? not likely.

Well People will believe what they choose to believe..That however will not change the truth..Fallen angels took the daughters of men and giants were the result.
All creatures to reproduce after their own kind Look it up. Sons of Adam or Seth or whoever mating with the daughters of men will produce humans since their parents were human... Mix the breeding stock and you'll get a mess.

I will repost to make it easier for you to read and you can see what I'm talking about.

Contextual exegete of Genesis 4:11-6:8

As mentioned the line is Adam, the son of God,

where in the context is Adam called the son of God?

with Abel to carry out that line.
Why Abel.

Since Cain killed Able, "And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth,For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” Genesis 4:25 in verses 26 "

why should the line of Abel be the chosen line BEFORE Cain sinned?

And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh.
At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord."

Seth, "Put; who puts; fixed" (Hitchcock's Bible names - Bible Dictionary) Eve name Seth-fixed, what Cain destroyed, for her Seed to be carried on, was fixed in Seth.

The Bible says it means 'appointed'. These bible name fixers are well known for their manipulations of names which are accepted by the ignorant.

Did Seth that brought back the line to carry her Seed, named his son Enosh-mortal, because with him Adam's line would continue, as in 5:3.
But why would Abel's line be the one that would carry her seed? Enosh was named 'mortal' to bring out human mortality. Its meaning is different from 'adam. You are just making this up.

Seth was born after the likeness of his image.
Was Cain not in the likeness of his image too?

Adam's line the son of God, Luke 3:23.
do you call this context? lol

Besides He is not named son of God, but -simply - 'of God'. Cain's line would also be '-- of God', Many of his sons had El in their name.

, 36-38 "
Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,……………..36 the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech, 37the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalel, the son of Cainan, 38the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God."
He was 'as was supposed' the son of Joseph. This is the only one named 'son of' and he was 'as was supposed'. The other names are simply 'of --' (no 'son of'). This was to prevent what you are actually doing, having Adam as the son of God..

No mention of Cain, why?
Let me guess. It wasn't his lineage lol

Because Cain we will see, goes out from the
presences of the Lord wandering as a fugitive. With his genealogy following his image, Lamech killed a young man, 4:23. So Cain's line was wandering outside of the presence of the Lord, Nod means wandering.
He was in 'the land of wandering', ie the desert. The 'presence of YHWH' simply indicated the place to which Adam went when he left Eden.

24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, then Lamech seventy-sevenfold.”

n Genesis 4:12 He says he will be a fugitive and a wanderer 16, it tells us that Cain went out for the presents of the Lord, he built a city called Nod meaning wandering, after he knew his wife, verse 17.

My Bible says the city was called Enosh. In other words he set up a tent or cave encampment in the desert. The presence of YHWH was some symbol which spoke of YHWH.

What does that mean, because we know that the Lord is everywhere, because we know the the Lord is omnipresent.
which shows that 'the presence of YHWH' spoke of some visible symbol of YHWH's presence.

Does this simply mean that Cain and his genealogy were wandering outside the presence of the Lord, is them not following or being present with the Lord, as we'll see that Adam's line began to call on the name of the Lord in 4:26.
That was simply the beginning of formal worship.

Out of all the genealogy of Cain, there is only one daughter mentioned Naamah, verse 22, she was Tubal-Cain’s sister.
so the daughters of 'adam in ch 5 are not Cain's daughters.

Murder runs in Cain’s genealogy, verse 23 Lamech tells his wives, that he killed a young man for hurting him. Cain and his genealogy were wandering outside the presence of the Lord.
Away from the symbol of YHWH's presence.

So the daughters of 'dam (men) in ch 5 were who? Many daughters are mentioned, all of Seth. Would it not appear that the daughters of 'adam were SETH's daughters?

This is the genealogy of Adam the son of God.
so the daughters of 'adam were Seth's daughters? And Adam is NOT called the son of God. Someone is cheating.

Genesis 6:1 “Now it came to pass, when men (line of Cain) began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them(the line of Cain),”

The line is 'adam. So why should it be the line of Cain? It is rather the line of Seth to whom we have been told many daughters have been born, CONTEXT.

This is the multiplication of Cain’s genealogy,
where does it say so?

because 4:25-5:32 was the multiplication of the genealogy of Adam with 8 verses detailing that the sons of Adam the son of God, had sons and daughters.
So the daughters of 'adam are the daughters of seth's line?.

Genesis 6:1 picks up where Genesis 4:16-24 left off, with Cain’s genealogy having sons and daughters or multiplying on the face of the earth.
but why should they be called the daughters of 'adam? Why not of enosh which also means 'man'.

Why? Was Cain not also within the covenant?

It sounds like it, when you compare Cain's line, wandering outside the presence of the Lord and a
member killing as did the fugitive Cain.
Killing in self defence? That was allowed. BESIDES THE DAUGHTERS WERE THE DAUGHTERS OF 'ADAM

Here's my contextual exegetical conclusion of the stories of those two genealogies, being told in Genesis 4:11-6:1.
Neither contextual or exegetical as my analysis shows.

Genesis 6:2 “that the sons of God (line of Adam) saw the daughters of men(line of Cain), that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose”
The daughters were the daughters of 'adam.

And how does the sons of God taking 'whom they chose' from outside their own line be seen as expressing 'the godly line of Seth' . Whereas if we follow Scripture evil angels (sons of God - Job 1 & 2) may well.

Where are fallen angels introduced into the contextual lines of Adam and Cain?
In Gen 6.1-4? LOL

In the context of the history of man before the flood?
Saran appears mysteriously in ch 3. His followers in ch 6.

With the Seed being the main story line, From Genesis to Revelation the Bible is about Jesus, His coming, His life, His return.
But only with OUR reinterpretation of the seed,

Noah is in the line from Adam to Jesus or from Jesus to Adam, with all that being in the overall context of the Bible and chapter 4 and 5.
are you suggesting that OT men knew it? It was a new revelation,

, Cain's line and Adam's line with Adam's line to carry on the Seed (Jesus), is the immediate context. Why would the Holy Spirit introduce fallen angels into the context of the immediate story and the overall story?
1). Because it happened.
2). To explain the Flood.
3). To demonstrate that Satan still sought to separate all mankind from God.

Genesis 6:3, 5-8 “Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in[a] man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.….
He has outwardly achieved his object.

5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
what could cause this? The writer (and the Holy Spirit) said that it was an invasion from outside,

7So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
But why? Answer. To remove the devilish strain.

8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord."
He alone with his family had kept separate from the evil angels and not indulged in demon intercourse. It is more difficult to see otherwise why only one man and his family should be singled out.

With the context of Genesis 4:11-24 about Cain and his the genealogy, men, his lines women, daughters of men Genesis 6:1, after the mention of one daughter/sister in Genesis 4:22 her name

IF it was the context we would expect the birth of many daughters to be given, not just one.

Genesis 4:25-5:32 the line of Adam the son of God, his line (of men) sons of God, that had both sons and daughters
.

Ahh here the daughters of 'adam are mentioned. OOOPS it is the line of Seth. Wrong man.

With the two lines marrying in Genesis 6:2,
Cain's line are not mentioned, only Seth's, 'the daughters of 'adam'.

the multiplication of Cain genealogy Genesis 6:1,
But only the daughter of Seth have been mentioned,

the results of those unions Genesis 6:4 the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.

But WHY should they be mighty men of renown? Surely murderous Cain's would be the mighty men of renown?

The Lord's reaction to the wickedness of man, Genesis 6:3, 5-7, the Lord is not judging because the daughters of men and the sons of God married and had children, the Lord is judging because meant was wicked in his heart continually and for no other reason.
But why had they grown SO wicked, and why have all Seth's line fallen for it? In context and exegetically it DEMANDS the same explanation as chapter 3.

With one man finding grace with the Lord, Noah,
Genesis 6:8, part of the line from Adam to Jesus, Luke 3:36.

Yes ONLY ONE out of all the line of Seth.

CONTINUED

Genesis 6:4 “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward (what days?), when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children (who were they?) to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.
But who are the Nephilim and why are they mentioned.? Indeed why do they suddenly appear out of the blue? You give NO explanation, whereas if they produce the mighty men of renown we have an explanation, they are bene Elohim (sons of the Elohim ie of supernatural beings).
.

The mighty men of old, the men of renown, were the children, not the Niphilim, they were already on the earth, in those days.
Then why are they suddenly mentioned out of nowhere.? There is no context for them.

How did angels get into that context, if the sons of God are not the line of Adam and Cain's women are not the daughters of men in the immediate context of Genesis 4:9-5:32 and Genesis 6:3, 5-8?
because they were the bene Elohim and Seth's daughters were the daughters of 'adam.

It doesn't fit, nor the overall context, with "her Seed" being the coming Messiah and Adam's genealogy goes to Jesus with Noah in that line.
But why should Messiah affect the issue? He had disreputable ancestors anyway.

Fallen angels do not fit the context,
Only because you start the context at ch4 instead of ch 3.

you have to read into the story, go out of context, pull verse out of context and go outside of the Bible,
Bene Elohim are mentioned in the Bible as angels (Job). Sons of Elohim are never descriptive of human beings,

to try and make a case that the "sons of God" as being fallen angels and to say they are not fallen, is even harder to prove.
but they are fallen. Nephilim means 'fallen ones'.

Because once they leave their first estate, they were cast into tartarus and are reserved in eternal chains of darkness until judgement, that does sound like an angel that is in good standing with God, to be called His son.

If they are the same they left their first estate at exactly this time. There was nothing against them previously.

But anyway 'sons of --' merely indicates someone who is like someone else, in this case supernatural beings.. It neither indicates goodness or badness of itself.

Again the challenge is to show from Genesis 4:9-5:32 how this is not the genealogies of Adam and Cain.
which I have done :)..
With 6:1 not being Cain’s genealogy multiplying on the face of the earth or sons and daughters being born to them.
only ONE daughter of Cain is mentioned earlier. The daughters of 'adam coming immediately after ch 5 refers to SETH's line.

Since Genesis 5:4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 26 and 30, show daughters being born to Adams genealogy.
Yes all born to Seth.

Genesis 6:3, 5-8 being about man, how fallen angels fit into Genesis 6:2, 4?
How did the mysterious figure in ch 3 fit in?

Bring your contextual exegete, following these lines of the context to prove that the sons of God are fallen angels. I'll even abridge it for you
Done :)

FYI the Hebrew translation for Son of God is also human beings . Ben Hebrew for "son" of God Elohim

contextual meaning of the chapter son of God means "People of HIS" created beings .

sons of God means = works or special possessions of God

angel: does also me Elohim but that would not fix in the context of chapter 6 of Genesis.

you would have to change the context of gen 6

man is the context man is the one being destroyed man is mentioned 7 times from verse 4 to 7

angels would make no sense .

angels would make no sense .

Now define 'son'
sons of God means = works or special possessions of God This would fit angels...God made them and they are His It fits

FYI the Hebrew translation for Son of God is also human beings . Ben Hebrew for "son" of God Elohim

contextual meaning of the chapter son of God means "People of HIS" created beings .

Bene Elohim mans 'sons of the elohim'. It does not therefore necessarily refer to human beings. 'elohim' are supernatural beings.

sons of God means = works or special possessions of God
well I disagree. It simply means 'those who are like the elohim'. Elohim means supernatural beings, spirits, gods, angels
'
angel: does also mean Elohim but that would not fix in the context of chapter 6 of Genesis.
It fits perfectly, as I have shown

you would have to change the context of gen 6
why?

man is the context man is the one being destroyed man is mentioned 7 times from verse 4 to 7
But why is man being destroyed? the invasion of the Elohim.

angels would make no sense .
we must agree to differ.

You need to get things right if you're going to make a stand....Elohim are not supernatural beings Elohim is A supernatural being...Elohim is one of the names of God. Elohim (Our God Is All-Powerful) Elohim covers Father Son and Holy Spirit All three at once.

We must agree to get things right!!
