Ariel....either one stands for the truth and defends it or by default is lumped in with those who oppose it....their false gospel leads to hell....I will swing the sword though all hell breaks forth and the sun goes dark!
Hell. Again.
Am I happy you won't be the judge!

I have referred you to Mathew 7 many times.

HAVE YOU READ IT YET?
I don't think so...

Could you please prove, biblically, how your doctrine is correct?
It would be nice.

(you know, like we who are going to hell seem to be able to do)

I was just wondering where willybob came from.

Why do folks like to make the scarecrow that you are against doing good works?
My dear Ariel,

Have you noticed how some here talk amongst themselves as if the Others were not around?

Have you noticed that the workers for and twisters and cake takers do not do this?

Ask yourself why.

Thanks.

Because Satan always stands against the truth....starting with CAIN who was of that wicked one...he pushed works as well....and false teachers will push the same lies SATAN and his followers have pushed from day one.....
HOW did Cain push works?

I thank you in advance for the lesson.

I fully agree, but I will not sit here and let those who push a dogma that leads to eternal judgment go unanswered....I do not care if I have to respond 50,000 times with the truth about salvation...CAIN PUSHED WORKS, THE PHARISEES PUSHED WORKS, THOSE WHO DECEIVED THE GALATIAN ASSEMBLIES PUSHED WORKS and A WORKS BASED DOGMA LEADS TO HELL......we are in a war, we are told to fight the good fight, to stand as prepared for battle, to defend the truth, to contend for the faith.....I WILL NOT coddle nor cower to those who push a false gospel.....EVER!
So far you haven't responded to ANYTHING

But just given us YOUR opinion.

We're waiting for you to show us, the lost, why we're wrong.

Some bible lessons please.

WORK OUT
is different than
WORK FOR?????

I'm a major in English.
Could you please explain to me and Others here, the DIFFERENCE between the two.
In practical terms, PLEASE.

Thanks.

(maybe the Greek could be of some help here...)
WORK OUT is certainly different than WORK FOR. In the first place, there are 3 tenses to salvation. 1. We have been saved from the PENALTY of sin (justification). 2. We are being saved from the POWER of sin (ongoing sanctification). 3. We will be saved from the PRESENCE of sin (glorification). The Greek verb rendered "work out" means "to continually work to bring something to completion or fruition." We do this by actively pursuing the process of ongoing sanctification. Sanctification is the process of being set apart for God's work and being conformed to the image of Christ. This conforming to Christ involves the work of the person, but it is still God working in the believer to produce more of a godly character and life in the person who has already been justified by faith.

The justified person is actively involved in submitting to God's will, resisting sin, seeking holiness, and working to be more godly (1 Thessalonians 4:3,4; 5:14-18; James 4:7; Titus 2:12 etc..). Significantly, sanctification has no bearing on justification. That is, even if we don't live a sinless, perfect life (which we won't) we are still justified by faith in Christ (Romans 5:1). Where justification is a legal declaration that is instantaneous, ongoing sanctification is a process.

The lion of Judah has a roar! That is your part my brother.....It is a part of the body of Christ. May the Lord show us the wisdom we need to operate in our own part of the body that we are a part of. The false gospel that does not rely on Christ's work alone hurts all of us and those that are not here with us yet.

Yes Grace.

Here's the thing:

He ROARS a lot,

But says NOTHING.

You post scripture at least.

I think Dcon doesn't know how to do this.
He just knows how to roar...

P.S. MMD

You Do allude to the believer's RESPONSIBILITY for ONGOING SANCTIFICATION.

Then you say it is God working in us for this --- to will and to act.

SO, I repeat my question: Does this mean that if I fail and fall into sin it is GOD'S shortcoming and not MINE???
Sin is not God's shortcoming, but ours.

Amen....he is the only one I have on ignore....no matter how one addresses him he will twist, embellish and change everything we say....there are two or three others that do this as well....I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they are proving themselves to be just as corrupt
You're talking to each other again.
As if WE'RE not around.

Very nasty.

His color is starting to show.....another one who believes salvation can be lost...and if lost it has to be kept or earned by something he does or does not do......more fallacy and false gospels.......

This is a false accusation and the reason why you make folks mad.

He doesn't stand up for sinners.he stands up for Faith in Jesus and understands that includes repentance and learning to,live Godly lives thru the leading of the Holy Spirit..

Why do you keep, making false allegations about others beliefs?
My dear Ariel,

Dcon stands up for sinners because he teaches Easy Believism or Cheap Grace.

When one says a person is REQUIRED TO DO NOTHING becasue GOD HAS DONE IT ALL,

He is, in effect, saying that it's OK to sin because our sins are covered.

Does this mean our sins are not covered?

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to put into teaching you stuff.
You should learn it before you try to teach thngs to kids...

Peter, you never answered my question. Where in the bible do you read the most often? I just read a chapter in Matthew. :)
Good morning Blue,

What chapter did you read?

How would you like to do a bible study with me on Mathew??

I've done this a couple of times with adults.

it's a good book to start with. I'll tell you why if your answer is YES.

But keep reading. And pay a lot of attention to what JESUS says.

FranC you should learn to listen more than you speak.

Perhaps a course on logic might help rid you of your fallacies.

Unfortunately, I don't have time to teach you how to overcome your illogical assumptions.

Perhaps, if you overcome your pride, you might learn it on your own?

The Most Common Logical Fallacies

Fear and trembling is the attitude with which Christians are to pursue their ongoing sanctification. It involves a healthy fear of offending God and a righteous awe and respect for Him (Proverbs 1:7; Psalm 34:9; Isaiah 66:2), *not fear of God as if He is a tyrant who can't wait to punish you every time you mess up.

*That is the unhealthy fear of God that I had while growing up in the Roman Catholic church. :(

I was in a discussion on a different Christian forum in which the thread was entitled: "Is sanctification an event, a process, or both?" We had a very good discussion. :)

Many came to agree there is an initial sanctification in which believers are made holy in standing before God postionally in Christ, 1 Corinthians 6:11 - Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.. 1 Corinthians 1:2 - To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified (past tense) in Christ Jesus..

Yet we also see progressive sanctification in which the reality of that holiness becomes more and more evident in our actions, words, thoughts, attitudes, and motives. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 - For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain (present tense) from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctificationand honor. Hebrews 10:14 - For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

So becoming washed, sanctified and justified in Christ is a one time event, yet abstaining from sexual immorality (ongoing sanctification) is not a one time event.

who disagrees with anything i said

and where was i wrong

use scripture for correction please

this is for me to test your spirits as well as correction
You're not wrong in anything you've said NNM.

Surprisingly, a new Christian knows more than some older Christians here.
That's because the Holy Spirit IS working in your life.

You've set high standards for yourself. Don't ever feel like you've abandone Jesus just because you sin.
He'll stay with you for as long as you want Him to, even if you fall into sin.
