Glad I took a peak at this. :)

Folks, it is not if this term applies to this thread. That would be to miss the point here because it is not a thread that is being attacked, it is persons. It is a group of persons.

It is rather to be asked "How does the apply to any person on here?" (not that I'd expect any from that group to stand out and speak up for others they loathe).

Well, it doesn't apply to any person or persons on here yet this is the behavior that stems from those who attack the Reformed brothers and sisters on here. Everyone can see it whether they admit it or not, there has been an outright assault on these brothers and sisters who are Reformed by several people and they all support one another's efforts to do so. There is also a huge amount of lying mixed in it.

Then they talk about being loving.

And loving and accepting heretics whose teachings are proven thus.

And it's said that these only have "differing opinions" and we should accept them.

But those Reformed brothers who time after time share Biblical truth, properly exegeted texts? They aren't even considered to be saved because these are not to be accepted in the same manner. Is it not of interested they do not get granted the "they have differing opinions" excuse while also being "protected" by this camp? (not that we desire your protection, believe me, just pointing out the inconsistency and hypocrisy).

No, the Reformed are to be maligned, slandered, attacked and that is a well known fact. All the while, you know, they lament the pointing out of false teachers and heretics, and protect them, and tell us to accept others of "differing opinions" while slandering us. LOL!!!!

Quote "No, the Reformed are to be maligned, slandered, attacked and that is a well known fact."

Baloney! You've accused the other side of Arminianism,of Pleganism,on and on. And then you cry fowl when anyone calls your belief out. Its hypocrisy! Wesley was a heretic huh? Good to know,i'll inform my Wesleyan friends their founder was a heretic,Im sure they'll be quite amused. No one has stirred up more vitriol here than you, then you hide behind the name preacher and shake your head. Hypocrisy plain and simple!

Lol you're hilarious. The fake self righteousness is too much.smh You stir the pot, name call, falsely accuse everyone of being a liar then sit back and say "tisk, tisk". rofl Too much. You're the on that said you believe in free grace!!! You and Angela should be at each others throats!! She called me a liar for saying what YOU said reformed/calvinists believe. You all need to have a sit down and figure which doctrine your going with. Maybe then you'll stop falsely accusing people of being liars,or maybe you lik doing that?!
Actually, Angela proved you made a statement about her in regards to free grace. You weren't making a blanket statement. http://christianchat.com/bible-disc...yone-here-teach-following-21.html#post3119026

You singled her out in the post. This is your quote:

No one is stuffing words in your mouth Angela. You are contradicting yourself. You cannot say you believe in election and free grace at the same time. Its like saying you are pro-abortion and pro-life,its a contradiction in terms. No one is putting words in your mouth. You're not making sense.
After googling free grace, I do not believe in free grace theology. It looks like that is where we get hyper-grace from. It's a denial of internal change of a true born again believer. It leads to antinomianism, anti-repentance, and anti-moral law. People will deny this all the day long, but it is literally a licence to sin as long as you believe in Jesus. Fundamentally, it denies a ton of scripture in regards to the change of the inward man, the change of the nature of the believer, the works that follow saving faith, sanctification by the Spirit, instructions in holiness, and so on.

I believe in "free grace" in that God's gifting of grace is free, but a person will respond to it with a changed nature, no longer in the flesh, but in the Spirit.

Yeah...my message doesn't change...God doesn't teach folks by beating them up with words or encouraging gossip or backbitting or slander.

Folks can stand up for God's truth, reveal bad doctrine and teach people the wisdom and discernment to spot wolves without vitriol and name calling.

When someone honestly mistunderstands what is being said, they and you should take your own advice and say...

"I can see how you can take it that way, but what I really meant is _______" instead of accusing them of misrepresenting you and accusing them of slander, when it was your words that were unclear.

However I have found people give advice better than take their own advice.

Calling you Luciferian is over the line.

Implying anyone who finds your behavior and methods of accusing folks who don't agree with you as slanders, wolves, pelagianist, universalist, liars, etc is reprehensible and doesn't display Christian maturity even if your doctrine is right...your words are just loud cymbals without any love showing.

****

Matthew 23
3so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice. 4They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear,a and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. 5They do all their deeds to be seen by others.
Nuts! Can't rep you for this!

I believe that God knows that anyone who believes in Christ would become the called out, the chosen, part of the body of Christ, the church and that he knew this plan from the beginning and it is his purpose.

As to know each individual's choices and decisions in life before they make them - nope. If I believed that God knew everything that was going to happen before it happened I would have to believe that he knew Lucifer would rebel against him and later wreak havoc upon mankind and in our own individual lives daily but still went ahead and created him . . . . I would have to believe that God placed that tree of knowledge of good and evil in the garden, created Adam and Eve, gave them one command and then laughed knowing they would not be able to obey him . . . I would have to believe that God created Adolf Hitler knowing what kind of man he was going to be but created him anyway. I believe that God has given man freedom to make choices and decisions on their own. . . . Something to ponder on.
So, God is not omniscient?

Also p4t also said reformers don't believe in free grace theology. Should represent people truthfully.

argh... please may i try to explain? i truly don't mean to be meddlesome.

you see, it's Ed. we're talking about Ed, right? (if i followed that correctly)

what i've learned about my much loved brother Ed is his heart belongs to the Lord. sometimes, like all of us, he gets upset and might say something about it, again, like all of us. he's also one of the kindest men here. a man who puts into practice what he believes. ask him for his shirt and you'll get his coat, too. you don't even have to ask! :)

so, yeah, his theology doesn't match mine perfectly, but if push came to shove, i'd like Ed in my foxhole.
he'd take a bullet for any one of us in a heartbeat.
And Ed has invited some friends to come to my foxhole on Sunday to help us in holy-cow ways! So, he's both good talk and good action. (As in "talks the talk, and walks the walk.")

So, "I doubt it" was exactly what I meant.

(Ed's friend stopped by yesterday for more checking and measurement taking. He also said, "Now I'm letting you know what will happen, so you don't freak out and don't get overwhelmed."

I had to laugh. We're already there. They've got plans to do stuff I didn't even conceive could be done even if we hit the big lottery. I have thought big, but never that big. Did you know a kitchen could have more than one light? It never dawned on me. lol)

PennEd,

The holy spirit testifies if you one of God's elect, but you can spot a mature Christian by the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control in their lives. They shine God's light clearly and speak life giving water.

It's not wrong to proclaim you are a child of God and one of His elect.

It is wrong to think yourself better than others and shows pride and lack of humility. We should give all glory to God because we didn't deserve His mercy of grace.

I believe God predestined His elect to do the good works he saves us to do. Each person's work is different, for we are different members of the Body of Christ with Jesus being the Head.

We all have been given spiritual gifts from God for His glory and His purpose. We just have to learn to be mature Christians grounded in Him and His Words.
You're preaching to the choir. (Ed's the choir. I am not.)

I am not sure I buy it. How many atheists have denied God's existence then came to saving faith later on? Lee Strobel bought a bible to prove it wrong and now is a christian. J. Warner Wallace was an atheist who came to saving faith...I think that's his name. He was in 'God's Not Dead 2'.

The blasphemy of the Spirit Jesus was talking about was those Jews who was with Him saw His works. They saw His healing, raising the dead, feeding 5,000 men, not including women and kids. They attributed those works to the devil. They said the Christ had an evil spirit. That's blaspheming the Spirit.
I don't have much confidence in Storbel he has joined forces with the Rick Warren types, Anthony Flew the philosopher came to believe in God, not sure if he came to saving faith or not. Simon Greenleaf was a lawyer that came to believe in Jesus, because he was going to prove that the NT contradicted itself, but he came to the conclusion that the different accounts in the Gospels would hold up in court of law, his book "Testimony of the Four Evangelist" is the result of his investigation.

Go back through the thread. I don't think you've posted one single bible verse. Just ad hominem and name calling.
Go back and look at all the other threads too. Scripture has been posted over and over again. Some choose not to see it...dismiss it and call others liars...or even say we're making Jesus contradict himself by quoting his Word and what he said...

Yeah, you did that. You can't quote a single verse and build doctrine on it. That's what you did. I posted context to show how you did this. So..

That thread has Slavic significant,

this, thread does not.

Disagreeing on this thread will not affect your eternity, Oppose then wrong side on that thread, and you could end up in hell
This is why we are here. To testify of the salvation we have in Christ Jesus. Few there will be that notice as they are too wrapped up in arguing that which is of little consequence.

At what point can we no longer have fellowship with others who name the name of Jesus? I fear that the ignore button is overused and the person most ignored is Jesus.

I appreciate your heart for evangelism.

Miraculous healing was in the bible. Where it isn't is in the Charismatic and WoF churches of today.
I disagree. I can't remember where now, but someone was preaching God's word (or doing miracles) somewhere in the NT, and disciples were trying to stop the person. Then someone said something like, "Don't. Because God's will works even through that person."

(Hey. If I could remember the words better, I could find the passage.
)

I do think God uses WoF even for his good purposes. And I absolutely know God uses Charismatics for his purposes. I'll even go one better -- there are just as many believers in the charismatic circles as there are in reformed circles.

If correct knowledge saves, then we are all doomed! None of us are 100% correct.

Really?

When Jesus prayed in the garden over the cup passing by Him was that your incorrect use of the word predestined? Did Jesus make a choice to submit His will to the will of the Father? When Jesus submitted His will to the Father He received the predestination of all that was promised to Him through the Father.

This is so horrible. If the Christ would have decided to not go through with His crucifixion, the bible becomes useless. All OT prophecies turn into lies, the trustworthiness of the bible is no better than reading Aesop's Fables.

The Christ's anguish was His knowing the separation He would undergo when He became sin and was treated as a sinner. He who knew no sin, became sin so that we could become the righteous of God in Him.[2 Cor. 5:19]

The Christ came to do the will of the Father. There was zero chance He would bail. There was zero chance He would not fulfill the OT prophecies concerning His crosswork. He is immutable.

Like I said before I'm not into creating doctrine...I've got the only doctrine I need, it's called the word of God...So don't hold your breath and wait on me to go off following some doctrine of man...Calvin or any other....lol

And yet, another lie. I dare you to prove that "everyone who disagrees with you becomes a liar." Funny thing, that thought never even came to your mind, until I called you a liar. And you knew me for two years. How is that? Unless, of course, you lie!

And, yes, Mezz is a liar too, and pretty much the same reason you are. You both hate reformed so much, you will bring up lies to prove something against it. Right now, he's painting all reformed as bullies, angry, and bitter, while showing his bullying, anger, and bitterness.

And you? Suddenly, magically, after 2 years of disagreeing on this point, NOW suddenly I call everyone I disagree with a liar.

Want me to run down a partial list of who I disagree with at one point or another? Almost everyone! (I'm still looking for where Notmyown and I disagree, but I suspect we will eventually. lol) Including Angela, Ariel, PennEd, Muzu, Preach, Sove, Forth, Peaceful, Follow, Blain, Johnny, OldHermit, Marc, Willie, Rockr, trof, Roger, Demi, Grace7, Dan, and any other person you can think of.

Now, here is the list of people I have called liars, because they have lied, repeatedly:
You,
1of,
Mezz.

Would you like to take this lie back and apologize?

Yep,known you for 2yrs and only when I question what you believe do I constantly get falsely called a liar. Funny how that happened.

Quote "

Well there's a lie for you! I have said that I have Calvinist friends that are very sweet Christian folk. We've been close friends for years and never, ever had a cross word over beliefs. We agree on what we have in common and leave the rest to the Lord.

Quote "
Right now, he's painting all reformed as bullies, angry, and bitter, while showing his bullying, anger, and bitterness.""

With what he went though Id say h has a right to be angry. But I dont think he is.I think he's righteously indignant over false teaching that he grew up with and what he is seeing here. The doge and weave game some people are playing here. I dont blame him a bit.And he did say not all were like that, perhaps in your anger you missed that?

Quote "And you? Suddenly, magically, after 2 years of disagreeing on this point, NOW suddenly I call everyone I disagree with a liar."

Never had an in depth convo over this belief. You never accused me of being a liar until I began to question, asking a question you had to clarify with Fourth, admitting you were getting stuck in the same area I was. But Im a liar for bringing it up. Ya,ok.

Quote "Would you like to take this lie back and apologize?"

Nope. I didnt lie about what you believe in the first place. When you and Angela apologise for that slander perhaps you'll here an apology from me. How about that?

The bible says we do not struggle against flesh and blood, we struggle the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Well lookee there junior, caught you in a lie....it looks like a bible verse to me, In fact, It looks to be Eph 6.12

boy without book, chapter and verse you are a hot mess running....this is because you only recognize scripture that you need to know and not the whole counsel of the word of God....

Mar 9:39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
Mar 9:40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
Mar 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

best just to ignore him too, and so much more peaceful.

really not worth it, he has no desire to discuss, He wants to preach, and condemn anyone who disagrees with him

Too true, almost every time someone has come in here proclaiming they are a preacher they end up just stirring up a mess and sitting back to watch the drama they created.I haven't seen him say a kind word to anyone who stands up to his nonsense. When he first came here he said to me something about being dogmatic, boy he wasn't kiddin!!
