It is finished.
The cross is the healing love of God expressed to mankind, that the door to eternity is open,
to love, to reality, to victory, to freedom from sins bondage, to communion and oneness with
the creator of the universe.
God became our Father, our friend, our Saviour, our Lord, He came along side us, took our burdens
and showed we can walk with Him and experience life in a totally new way filled with love and life.
But first we need to know we are loved and forgiven, to start again. It is at the cross this healing
begins and continues throughout our lives.
Now if you want to see how hard this road is for us to see or walk, ask people about love and
emotions. Who do you really know and love? Who would you die for? Who do you live for?
Who have you bonded with, ever?
We live in families who we know throughout our lives, yet often they can strangers to us.
Intimacy, hearts, emotions can be distant, deep hurts that tare our lives apart, betrayal,
and also union, becoming one from two wills, seeing new life grow and become new and strong.
Jesus speaks beyond this, beyond ecstasy, beyond dreams or soppy dreams, in justice, purity,
healing, wholeness, a family who all can be trusted and relied upon.
The more I see Jesus, the more stunning He is to me. He wants our hearts, freely opened,
cleansed and washed clean, to be not just servants but friends, to be like Him and flowing in
all that He is. We have a King who wishes to share all the wonderful things He has, but only
is possible if we can accept the limitations to true holiness, purity and love, shown in the
cross, the totally contradiction of the ways of the world.
