how does flat earth lead people to Christ when even ancient vikings believed in flat earth??????????????? it doesn't make sense............. i got converted because God healed me of my substance abuse in an instant................
historically, misunderstanding about the nature of the universe has led people to paganism.
the Hebrews did not actually have a cosmology to speak of, showing almost no interest whatsoever in astronomy other than to mark the seasons and the phases of the moon, by which they measured times.
the modern church of flatness will point at ((pagan)) Babylonian cosmologies ((turtles all the way down)) and, lying, call it the Hebrew view, as though some association with "Hebrewness" lends legitimacy to it. among the Jews themselves not having any interest in cosmology for the sake of knowledge, the Babylonian cosmology you might see in these former-Babylonian-captive-residents is associated with pagan worship, not with scientific inquiry.
But God turned away from them and gave them over to the worship of the sun, moon and stars.
(Acts 7:42)
(Acts 7:42)
if Hebrews believed the Babylonian cosmology, it was for the sake of judgement, not for their own glory.
furthermore the very idea that because something can be vaguely associated historically with "Hebrewness" is not in any way by itself a legitimizer.
They do not know, nor do they understand, for He has smeared over their eyes so that they cannot see and their hearts so that they cannot comprehend.
(Isaiah 44:18)
(Isaiah 44:18)
as a people, ((ya know, if you actually read the Bible)), they are not a 'stellar' example of understanding and knowledge and right belief. in fact, many artifacts are found archaeologically in ancient Hebrew sites that give clear evidence of worship of pagan gods, and of other things detestable to God like immorality and the use of magic -- which is false and forbidden 'so-called-knowledge'
so if we find tangible evidence that ancient Jews worshipped Ba'al, Molech and Asherah, does that legitimize such belief?
((NO))
preaching hamster-cage cosmology does not lead anyone to Christ. if it has any spiritual implication at all it leads people to paganism.
