I am curious about something concerning the law here. I hope it is ok on this thread, Just let me know if it is not and I will pursue it here no further.

God gave his law to Israel that showed them what sin was. If the view I understand people to be giving is true then why did God code it in a way that would guarantee they did not understand it? What does that make God?

For example the Sabbath commandment, It very clearly lends itself to a literal day that comes from creation. So was God tricking Israel and then punishing them for not keeping it? how does that work?
He did not do that, He told them that they were to confirm and obey every word, if not they would be under a curse. And they did exactly that.

so if they did not know that perfection was required. that was on them not God. He let them know.

I hope I understood your question right

I don't think there is a curse for keeping the Commandments (the 10) of God. Rev 14v12,13. And I don't keep Moses law. Our treasures in heaven are 'to do the Will of God. Have not seen anywhere Him cancelling His own spiritual eternal Commandments which are holy, just and good Rom 7....when I do I'll change my mind.

Sorry if I have missed anything else in your post.
Do you know THE declared WILL of GOD since you understand that JESUS came speaking all that THE FATHER said and you question why all are not hearing HIM, than you must believe that all that JESUS said is TRUTH and SALVATION to all who listen to HIM

Youll find the declared WILL (and WORK) of GOD in John 6

Yes, all the law can do is condemn us - and convince us of the need for a saviour.
Paul called the law a tutor:

24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Gal 3:24

And once we believed in Christ Jesus the law no longer had a purpose for us:

25
But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. Gal 3:25

Why are we no longer under the law - because we are under faith:

21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all[h] who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Rom 3:21-26
Exactly! Amen!

The curse is for not keeping them perfectly. (Duet 27: 26) Not for keeping them, the fact is we can not keep them, Thats why they were given, to lead us to christ.

So why are people not hearing JESUS who only speaks what His Father tells Him ? Did Father tell Him to nail HIS spiritual/eternal commandments to the cross ? We see that scripture says otherwise Mat 5v17,18. We are to 'return to the same God from whom we have strayed...not follow an imposter from Rome. Wake up you who sleep...for now is your salvation nearer...even knocking at the door to be let in ...and not have to break up your house !
Your last comment with regards to following an imposter from Rome, you'll have to elaborate on

I have no idea to whom you are referring as this imposter from Rome

With respect if that were true you would not be trying to add to what Jesus did on the cross for us - and this is what you are doing.
You seem to think that Jesus finished ALL His work on the cross, past present and future ---I don't. Certainly all was included for our salvation but WE are not yet completed, finished and perfected...are we ? HE finished what HE could do for us as a man...die in our stead...nobody can add anything to that...but He is back now working in the Spirit.

Which COVENANT are you under then?

isaiah's prophecy which JESUS quotes regarding the difference between those who have turned and have been healed says a bit more with regards to the hearts of the people

so who is the one who can give a person a NEW HEART and. NEW SPIRIT?

Jeremiah 31 has not happened for all because all have not heard THE VOICE of THE SON of GOD and have believed

the call of all the prophets pointing the hearts of the people back to GOD was this:

if today you hear HIS VOICE...harden not your hearts

look i stand at THE DOOR and knock if anyone hears MY Voice and opens the DOOR I will come in and eat with him and he with me

by the NEW COVENANT no one will need to tell another KNOW THE LORD...for HE sprinkle them with clean water and remember their sins no mor

and from the least to the greatest they shall all be taught by GOD

THAT IS, those who have heard HIS COUCE and have believed

once again, according to scripture.

3 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth,[a] before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you[b] as crucified? 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?
5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— 6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”[c]7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.”[d] 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
The Law Brings a Curse

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”[e] 11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”[f] 12 Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”[g]
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”[h]), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Purpose of the Law

19 What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. 20 Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring usto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

I think this says it all

1. It says why
(to expose we have sinned and fall short of Gods glory)
2. It says the purpose
(to lead us to Christ)
3. It says the meaning
(cursed is everyone who does no t obey ever word perfectly)
4. Is says the consequence for whoever does not obey perfectly
(cursed)
5. It says what Christ did
(redeemed us from the curse)
6 it says how the law related to those who have been redeemed
(no longer under the law, it has been fulfilled in them)
7. It says what the Bible says about those who think they have been saved by faith, who teach it, but must be perfected Maintain that salvation by the law
(calls them fools)

what more can be said? The rest of scripture agrees with all of these points, Paul just put them all in one area so we can see them all at once,

Colossians 2

The curse is the law (see also gal 3)

and it has been removed, having been nailed to the cross.

Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

Yes, we are.. And all because of the cross.

You need to study the law. And find out again, what atonement means, and the price of it.

The truth behind the Law

The truth is the law.

The laws of truth.

Break not the laws of truth and it will make you free
from the bondage and snare of evil spirits.

There is a great reward to them who walk in the laws of truth.
