Never forget I was working a train... Well. This train was a single railcar (Class 153) which has about 65 seats which was ideal for using in some rural lines with low populations... We were on the Heart of Wales line and just gone through Sugar Loaf tunnel and the driver buzzed which let me know someone was on the platform. The platform is very short (About half the single car train length) as it only used a few times a year. Just enough to keep it open! It was a dark winter and the sight that met my eyes! A young man had laid a table cloth, and wine glasses and candle sticks etc... along with the cutlery for a few courses of meal! There are only about two farms and no houses in the area and a single road up a flight of basic wood/earth? steps down to the platform.
It was a weird site. The young man didn't want to come on the train. He wanted to surprize his girlfriend!
About nearly 30 minutes later we returned and passed. Caught a brief sight of the wine bottle and wine in glasses and candles lit with them enjoying the occasion.
