Lock your bike somewhere else?

They've done you no harm. Not like they're living in your house. They're living where they're supposed to live.
they can be extremely aggressive.. i can remember walking under a nest one time and, i could see their little heads turning watching as i walked past, then i guess they sent a few scouts to chase me off because i wasn't walking fast enough and i got stung

Wait okay,
What the difference between a wasp or bee and a hornet?
I am far from an expert - not even sure I know the difference between all the different kinds of stinging insects, but my experience with wasps is that they will leave you alone if you leave them alone. On the other hand, I think hornets get mad pretty easy. Wasps might be a little bigger and thinner than hornets.

Not me. Kill every last one of them, DEAD!
They're the critters who kill flies, caterpillars, crickets, and other pesky insects. I'd rather chance hornets then be forever fighting the blasted caterpillars eating my herbs and tomatoes. And, I rather chance them then watch the big holes in my basil and rose leaves from the crickets.

I've never heard of hornets killing caterpillars, crickets and such. All I know is they fly around and bite people.. lol

I have a hornets hive right above where I lock my bicycle at...should I let them be or burn them out.

These guys are huge.
I grabbed a hornets nest once with my bare hand and crushed it. Didn't even get bit. Either knock the hive down with a stick or find a new place to lock your bike.
