Nothing's impossible with God! Let's ask Him to set up more leaders and to bless the owners of this site. God knows exactly what they need to make the BDF function positively.

Love? That's kind of a stretch for me. I won't go out of my way to make Dinty Moore Beef Stew a regular meal, however I do have 2 cases of it in my long-term food stores at the cabin. If times get real tough and I have to bust into those stores, I'll be darned glad to eat it.

oh yeah, the good ole 70's, but Bill, you probably don't remember those awesome'
Vienna sausages and mince meat! 'gagging now', lol...I used to cut the spam in slices
and put, forgive me for saying this, 'velvetta cheese in-between and bake:eek:...
My taste buds still remember when salt and grease were not evil. That sounds heavenly. The only thing missing is baconbits.

(I really did deserve all the health issues my digestive system has today, didn't I? lol)

Staple diet when I was a nipper.
I loved spam fritters and I know it sounds disgusting but even better between to bits of bread and butter.

Yum yum
Yeah, but you're Scottish. Doesn't that mean everything should be deep fried right down to Snicker bars?

BTW, I think Spam with bread and butter is very close to a Pennsylvania Dutch food -- Scrapple.)

And, this isn't fair. (Anyone want to laugh at me remembering my post about "unfair?") I'm just remembering these foods and my stomach is revolting. I'm thinking it, not eating it!

Is that a hot dog sausage?

No. That is a hotdog. To call it a hotdog sausage is something like calling bratwurst, bratwurst sausage.

And, if it is shorter than the width of your fingers closed together, (if only I knew if the Brits remember inches too, I'd call it 3 inches), then it is North America's version of "Vienna sausage."

(I'm going to try for the image Willie lost.)

Not the same picture, but the same stuff. I have loved them all my life... even to this very day.

I also love Vienna Sausages. They remind me of my Grandmother (my Mom's Mother). She would often watch me in the afternoons when I was little, and when it was time for lunch, I asked for sandwiches often. Grandma would make me either a bologna sandwich, a cheese and mayonnaise sandwich, or a vienna sausage sandwich (had to cut them in half lengthwise to get them to lay on the bread just right). Veeny Weenies remind me of my buggy-bye.
