I also love Vienna Sausages. They remind me of my Grandmother (my Mom's Mother). She would often watch me in the afternoons when I was little, and when it was time for lunch, I asked for sandwiches often. Grandma would make me either a bologna sandwich, a cheese and mayonnaise sandwich, or a vienna sausage sandwich (had to cut them in half lengthwise to get them to lay on the bread just right). Veeny Weenies remind me of my buggy-bye.
Ya know? Now you have to explain "buggy bye."

Buggy-bye was the nickname I gave to my grandmother. Nobody in the family knows where it came from.

Im hearing a lot of discouragement from brothers and sisters about the BDF and the hateful nonsense that goes on there. People are wanting to leave CC because of the issues there. Its been often said that mods are volunteers and are unable to keep up with the issues in the BDF. Is it not possible to give authority to some long standing, trusted members here? I know there are people who have been here many, many years and are trusted members. It may a stupid idea but we really need to come up with something. Things are getting way too out of hand and no one seems to feel we can get a mod when needed. Something has to be done or the best of CC will be gone.
Self control goes a long way...

I mean really peeps, how hard is it for you to stay off a thread you do not believe in? I am not perfect, but I do this a lot...if someone has an opinion on something I disagree with, I just stay off the thread....really, how hard is that....
If you do not believe speaking in tongues is for today, then stay out of a thread that talks about it....and then do not feel the need to "save" someone from that thread...

The purpose of the BDF should be one to give a well rounded approach to Bible discussion and let the community decide for themselves...not take each other out...

Self moderation can be done....and warring has to stop...you do not believe in what someone is saying...that is your right, stay off the thread...

Hahhahahaha! So I have to ask,is the name Huckleberry from Tombstone? Or another clever reason?
"You're a daisy if you do!"

Yes, my all time favorite movie,
and the state fruit of my state.
Can you guess where I live?
Here's a pic I took last summer:

TOMBSTONE was an amazing movie depicting real life between 'good and evil'...
we really liked the 'final scene', you kind of had to 'feel' what the director
was up to...AZ...

We have trouble determining "our good" from "God's good." Because we think in terms of "who is right", rather than, "What is right."

Love? That's kind of a stretch for me. I won't go out of my way to make Dinty Moore Beef Stew a regular meal, however I do have 2 cases of it in my long-term food stores at the cabin. If times get real tough and I have to bust into those stores, I'll be darned glad to eat it.
I think I just saw that movie....

Hey. If you're starving... anything tastes good !!

Do we? We back America, Mom, apple pie and the girl next door, killing hundreds of thousands in that "God-ordained" cause. But, the hundreds of Orientals I killed don't seem to have the same right to have lived as I did....... BECAUSE I was on what we think was the right side.

Yet God told all of us living on this ball of dust not to go off killing ANYONE on purpose.
I know who WE think was right.
And I know who THEY think was right.

But, WHAT was right in God's eyes?

Your post reminded me that God said "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name."

Yep. And from the Crusades, on, we have done a ton of that........... and much of it was carried out as us being invaders to their homelands.

For those of you never in that horrible situation, this scene says so much more than you will ever know. This notebook was taken off a VC teen that Hal had to kill.

My issue with the crusades was christiandom selling it as a holy war. The fight needed to happen to draw the jihadies out of Europe, and I take no issue with that.

we're separate, Willie, right now - right here,...

HEB. 4:12.
For The Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing
even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow,
and is a Discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.'
