You believe Paul is a false Prophet?
Galatians 2:19-21
19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Galatians 3:2-3
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Galatians 3:10-12
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
What happens when you read these scriptures? You just tell yourself that you love them and go back to working at the law?
For most people, the Good News is that they don't have to work for their Salvation. They don't have to work for their Righteousness. They don't have to work for their Blessing.
For some people, they haven't realized that they can't add one cubit to their stature. They can't add to their Righteousness by their own work. They can't add to their Salvation by their own work. They can't be blessed by their own work.
It's all a gift and it is spiritually discerned. Meaning you must come to Christ in order to Receive.
Grandpa and ALL,
Thank you. I love all the scriptures you have provided and they are in harmony with what I believe. Why do you and others try to twist the Word that is sent you is beyond me. This is done despite me telling you plainly my position between faith and works. You already know I believe we are only saved by Faith in God's Word and not by the works of the Law. I have told you and others this many times. Obedience however is the fruit of salvation which is by faith in God's Word alone.
Do you not believe we have a savior that can to save the sinner from sin? I believe that I am the chiefest of sinners who Christ has come to save because God's perfect Law is my mirror that brings me to Jesus and shows me that all my own righteousness is as filthy rags. It is here when I see who I really am that I can lay hold of the promises of the God of creation by faith and it is His power that works in my weakness to will and to do of His own God pleasure.
(2Cor 12:9; Phil 2:13). Yet If I obey Jesus and follow His Word because I love him, you and others accuse me of being under the works of the law?
Do you believe that Jesus can save us from our sins? God's Word teaches us that we have a Savior that has power to save us from sin as we have faith in His Word
(John 3:16). Jesus saves us and gives us power to walk in newness of life to grow and be more and more like him everyday as we
abide in Him through faith in His promises. I believe God's Word when he says he has given us all things that pertain unto life and godliness through His Word and that he makes us a partaker of the divine nature so that we can follow him and be like him. He has the power to free us from our sins as we have faith in His Words to save us.
(2Pet 1:3-4) Jesus says "Whoever commits sin is a servant to sin (John 8:34) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
(John 8:32). Salvation is conditional on us continuing in His Word learning of Jesus, believing His Word and taking up our cross daily and following Him
(Matt 11:28-29; Matt 16:24-25).
You and others here try to twist what I say for your own benefit because you wish to hold on to your own traditions in place of the Word of God. You are like the Jews of old when Jesus says, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
(Mat 15:3). You hold on to Sunday worship in place of God's 7th Day Sabbath commandment. Yet there is not one verse in the entire bible that tells us to do so. Jesus in His own Words says that the Sabbath was made for man and He is Lord of the Sabbath day
(Mark 2:27-28). It is the Lord's Day, God's day, yet you seek to replace God's commandments with the traditions of man, Sunday worship. If you truly love God and were a follower of Him you would obey His Words because you love him. (John 14:15).
The Words that I speak are not my words they are the Words of Him who sent me. If I was not sent of Him I would not speak His Words but because I know Him I speak the Words he gives me. If I was not born of God I would not know him and if I share only God's Word to you why do you now believe Him? It is because men loved darkness rather then light because their deeds were evil (sin) that people do not believe Gods Word (John 3:19-21) God' tells us plainly whosoever is born of God does not commit (known) sin and whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him. (1John 3:9; 1John 3:6). If you were of God you would believe his Word and follow him.
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
(Isa 55:6-7) And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
(Jer 29:13)
He must increase and I must decrease
(John 3:30). We must point people to the Word of God because it is there you will find Jesus and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
(John 1:1-3; John 8:34; 31-32)
"Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."
(Rev 14:7)
If any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receives not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day."
(John 12:47-48)
