Hi Denadii,
Sorry I misspelled your name. It was not intended.
All I read of your post is that of spelling your name wrong and the short note above. I don't want to sort through your D's and DR's because they don't apply to me.
Also, I applauded Angela's post for rightly dividing God's word. I'm sorry you can't see that healing is not in the atonement.
When I judge, it's the teaching and not the person. Those I fellowshipped with in the WOF, I loved and still love. I care enough about them to tell them that WOF is in error.
I have 2 close friends that are heavily into WOF. I'm always there for them, I love them and I hope one day that they will see the false teachings and come out from among the doctrines of demons.
One of them recently told me that I needed to pray a new way. I needed to plead the blood. You know what, that's not in scripture either. I can't find anywhere that we are to pray this way.
You know what I told her? I told her that I knew she meant well, but all that does to me is to reinforce the fact that there's something I'm not doing right. I don't have faith, I don't pray correctly, I've got sin in my life and on and on the list goes.
I also told her that telling me that brings me condemnation, not love. Not encouragement. So I asked her if in the future we can discuss those things we agree on. She said okay.
Those who promote the WOF, I will expose. I will tell others to watch out for names like Benny Hinn, or Joyce Meyer or Kenneth Hagin or Kenneth Copeland, Joseph Prince and the list could go on and on.
What do I say of them? That they are teaching false doctrine. I don't attack them, I expose the false teachings that come out of their mouths. I warn the brethren.
There is so much damage being done. In a previous church it got to the point where we were told to empty our minds, leave our brain at the door and just go up front and say more Lord over and over and over until you've fallen on the floor. The laughing phenomena came, people were shaking, contorting screaming, making animal noises and the like.
Can you show me in scripture where we are suppose to do that?
Its sad you have experienced that.
The problem I see with WOF, they seem to confuse Gods will.
In the Lord's Prayer we find
Thy will done on earth as it is heaven.
We find Jesus saying,
Matthew 26:39
39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”
We find in Psalm
Psalms 143:10
10 Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of uprightness.
and we find the following
John 6:38
38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
The problem is that our will can take precendance over Gods will.
Whats is Gods will?
To conform us to the image of Christ.
But it is also bring us to a greater trust in him that he will meet our needs.
Dont worry about tomorrow, I will provide for, I will always love you, never leave or forsake you.
I am a name it and claim it guy.
I name and claim that the will of the Father be done in me.
I am not a i name it and claim it now you deliver.
By this I mean, I give money and I expect more back.
Now please everyone do not think I am negating asking Prayer for healing and the likes.
I am doing that myself for my eye issues.
There is nothing wrong for asking God for help with spiritual and temporal things at all.
The problem with WOF is that it gives us the concept that we do not have enough faith or God does not love us.
Thats not true and it's a lie.
God said to Paul, my grace is sufficient and thst grace will meet all our needs according to his will.
