Here is a great article that speaks about what is written on our hearts now that we are in Christ. I like to use this website as it has at the bottom a place where you can ask questions and sometimes I learn from that area a lot.

The Law Written on Our Hearts is not the Ten Commandments

This is the covenant I will make with them after that time,” says the Lord. “I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” (Heb 10:16)

“This is obviously a reference to the law of Moses,” says the law-preacher. “The Ten Commandments were written in stone, now they’re written in the hearts and minds of God’s people.”

Not true. Here are seventeen reasons why God has not written the Ten Commandments on your heart:

1. The law inflames sin (Rom 5:20) and the strength of sin is the law (1 Cor 15:56). Why would God want to stir up sin in your life?

2. The law condemns (2 Cor 3:9), yet there is no condemnation to those in Christ.

3. The law ministers death (2 Cor 3:7), but God wants you to enjoy abundant life.

4. Law and grace don’t mix. You are under grace, not law (Rom 6:14).

5. Living by the law will alienate you from Christ (Gal 5:4).

6. Living by the law is cheating on Jesus (Rom 7:1-6). Why would God do anything to encourage spiritual adultery?

7. We’re to live by faith but the law is not of faith (Gal 3:12). The law encourages us to depend on ourselves instead of Jesus.

8. Those who live under the law are under a curse (Gal 3:10). Why would God curse those he has blessed?

9. The law binds and enslaves (Rom 7:6), but Jesus wants you free.

10. The law keeps you immature for it makes nothing perfect or complete (Heb 7:19).

11. We have died to the law so that we may serve in the new way of the Spirit and “not in the old way of the written code” (Rom 7:6).

12. When there has been a change of priesthood, the law must be changed also (Heb 7:12). For God to write the old law on our hearts would be like saying Aaron is greater than Jesus.

13. God found fault with the law-keeping covenant and made it obsolete (Heb 8:7,13). Why would God insult his Son’s sacrifice by giving you the very thing his sacrifice rendered obsolete?

14. The law is a shadow of the good things to come and not the reality (Heb 10:1). Why would God give you the shadow instead of “the good thing”?

15. The Jews considered the law to be ordained by angels (Heb 2:2). If so, says the author of Hebrews, then it is inferior to the gospel of Jesus (Heb 1:4). Why would God give you an inferior gift?

16. Some Christians think that God gives them the law as a guide to live by, but why would God want you to repeat the mistake of the Galatians (Gal 3:2)? Why would God do anything to make you fall from grace?

17. The old law-keeping covenant required an accounting or remembering of sin, but the new covenant is characterized by God forgiving and forgetting on account of Jesus (Heb 10:17). If the law that God writes in our hearts is the law of Moses, then Jesus died for nothing.

If God has written the Ten Commandments on your heart and mind, you should be able to list all ten with no trouble. Can you? What’s the seventh commandment? You can’t do it because it’s not there, and a very good thing that is too! If the law that God writes in our hearts is the law of Moses, you’re in big trouble.

The good news is that God has written in us a far better law. What is this new and better law?

The spiritual work is the fruits of the spirit that produces righteousness in your life. If the word of God has not been rooted in your heart, you cannot produce any works. you need to read EPHESIANS ;chapter 5 on the works of light and darkness.,and what each produce.. You have workers of iniquity and workers of righteousness.

I agree.

I noticed that in Matt. 7 - concerning those that are "working by doing things" in order to "achieve"
.

Notice that Jesus said to these people that were supposedly "doing good works". - He never knew them. Jesus knows His sheep.

Works do not save a person nor do they "keep one saved". Jesus Himself is the Savior. We do not save ourselves.

Believers "do the will of the Father" by believing in Christ's work of grace through faith alone - not by what they do or don't do.

Matthew 7:21-23 (NASB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

[SUP]22 [/SUP] "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'

[SUP]23 [/SUP] "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'

Lawlessness is seeking to replace God and His activity in Christ with our own activity - no matter how good it appears to be on the outside and "works" are included in this truth.

When we start to live conscious of the Lord as our righteousness, we will begin to manifest His life of righteousness that is already in us outwardly.

From the inside out, genuine good works, obedience, holiness and love will flow unabated out of an authentic relationship with our loving heavenly Father.

There is a prescribed order of victory in the New Covenant. Until the believer sees his death on the cross with Jesus, he cannot experience Christ as his life as a new man in Christ. - the new creation.

Here's a wonderful example of how opponents of the true faith use wicked tactics to twist what the writer says to make the truth of none effect.

Notice also the many "likes", which approve of this wicked tactic & show their agreement in this wickedness.

If the fruit is bad, so is the tree.

Those blinded by last day delusion will become repeater stations of their delusions, turning the delusion into an outright spiritual pandemic.

Delusion begets delusion. Since it's not Spirit-led & neither are its participants, wicked methods have to be used.

Wicked methods, wicked fruit. Wicked fruit, wicked tree. Anything that looks good is merely a form of godliness.
Maybe if you "worked" harder you'd gain more approval and therefore reap the "likes" you so desire.

Thank God I got off that roller coaster ride of fear and bondage to IN-security upon my conversion after leaving the Roman Catholic church, yet certain people seem determined to remain on the roller coaster ride of fear and bondage to IN-security and drag as many other people as they can on it with them. Misery loves company.

This is a very fascinating and interesting topic to me that I believe needs more study. It is like calling this entire subject, ‘Spiritual works discernment.’

Spiritual works, when are they of God’s spirit and when are they from the human spirit? I believe that is a core question.
We do human works every day. They are necessary. We do chores, go to work, care for loved ones etc. These are not spiritual works however. They are things that even natural animal does for survival, safety and ego…Maslow’s Heirarchy/pyramid comes to mind. We think that God will reward us more for paying extra (we feel we are doing extra) attention to the needs of our loved one. He won’t. This is expected and they are not spiritual works.

Spiritual works on the other hand are unnatural to us as we inhabit an opposing spirit today in the flesh body. Hopefully we are growing in the good spirit of truth and the force of this evil spirit is constantly in retreat and weakening.

I believe we know spiritual work as we mature as believers. We begin to gain experience when spiritual work is at hand.
Spiritual work tends to occur when it defies or confuses our human logic and reasoning, even our emotions and feelings. Some say there is a place in our natural human spirit that has the ability to know the will of the newly joined spirit of God inside of us – it communicated using the spiritual sense of intuition.

So some characteristics of spiritual work would be something done or called to do spontaneously that triggers the fruits or a fruit of the holy spirit simultaneously. I usually get goos-bumps and shivers through my body when spiritual work in at hand…
Now in Acts I’ve noticed that spiritual work was being done. The spirit called people or led people…. No one decides on their own to do things…

As we are today, our human spirit is joined with the (part of, portion of) the spirit of God, and this new spirit will eventually merge with our own spirit as one, completely – to be seem at our resurrection in our new light/energy body. We will then have a completely new compound-derived spirit, if you will. A human spirit of pure extract and energy channeled directly to our Lord Jesus Christ’s own spirit. We will finally realize what the expression ‘In Christ’ really means- and we will be doing spiritual work constantly.

I need to further investigate what scripture says on this very important topic.

Bless you
In Christ, Always

I think all should watch this...xox...
"Child of God/mass murderer" is an OXYMORON. Preachers who teach, "go out and live like the devil all you want, no big deal, you will still be saved" are deceived. Those who are born of God do not want to live like the devil (1 John 3:7-10).

I get tired of certain people in the NOSAS camp who try to place EVERYONE who teaches OSAS in the same camp as these "license to sin" deceived preachers.

If someone who attended my church and claimed to be a Christian went out and committed mass murder, my Pastor would not be saying, "he will be saved anyway." My Pastor would say, "obviously, that guy never truly received Jesus." I would say the same thing.

Hi Stephen

I'm here in shock.

I read Grace's post and I can't get over it.

HE posted Hebrews about how God will place THE LAW in our hearts.
This is taken from Jeremiah 31 of course and is the New Covenant.

THEN he goes on to list why IT COULD NOT BE THE LAW, which Jeremiah CLEARLY STATES IT IS.
(and Hebrews repeats)

Another time he said something about how something is said in the Old Testament but it wasn't really meant like that --- something or other ----.

PEOPLE, Wake Up !!

Hyper grace is WRONG!!! It's not biblical. It's not what Jesus came here to teach.

WHY TEACH ANYTHING? What for? If everything is covered by the blood?
IT DOESN'T MAKE COMMON SENSE.

It's a Mathematical equation...

If we have faith.......................We do works.
If we don't do works................We don't have faith.

It is ABSOLUTELY WICKED to teach that doing GOOD WORKS is WRONG.

What is the new and better law Grace asks...

THERE IS NO NEW AND BETTER LAW.

The LAW does not change.
What changes is HOW we KEEP THE LAW.

GOD IS THE SAME---YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW.

End of story.

There is no such thing as hyper grace.....this is a moronic misnomer invented by the workers for salvation...there is God's unsurpassable grace which saves and then out bounds our sin....now that is the end of the story!

you see, here is what many of you teach- that we are saved by faith through good works, and if you continue in faith and keep doing good works, you get grace. now, this sounds reasonable, it makes sense. but, one BIG problem, IT iS NOT BIBLICAL.

saved by grace, through faith, for good works is the Biblical truth. but, a lot of people really do not believe Paul, they think he " contradicts " Jesus, James, Peter, and John. ( he does not)

grace7 never leaves this truth, and you workers can't stand it.

I am tired of it as well, since it certainly demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the role of grace in the believers life, for one.

But all this hypothesizing about someone's salvation and then making it so extreme, mass murderer, just to make a point of what really?

What if the person suffered some head trauma and he is disconnected from reality. We are not God to make these judgements on a persons life.

There is no license to sin, grace stops sin not empowers it. Only a person not relying on grace would view things this way.

It is back handed jab against the grace of God, saying God is not able to work in the life of the believer. So if he depended on the law he would not have committed mass murder, that is really what they are really saying.

Grace is not enough
we need the law as well, because in their line of thinking no one is really saved outside of law and being morally pure.

Every single sin is paid for inside or outside of Grace. To know and believe this is to be truly humbled.
