Well, I can't argue with that.
If the most beautiful woman in the world with no clothes on was offering me a piece of desirable fruit I'd prolly cave in too.
thanks for sharing....

Lust and pride made it appear desirable.

Also, wasn't Eve the ONLY woman in the world at that time?

Exactly! Not much competition to be the most beautiful

Eve was considered the most beautiful woman in the world to Adam.
she was his wife and he her husband. when she was deceived and ate the fruit, Adam knew that she would enter into God's destruction and he didn't want his wife destroyed because he failed to protect her. So, he disobeyed and put himself up for destruction. God loved Adam too much to destroy them both so he delayed ultimate punishment and opted to give short term discipline to provide a way of escape from destruction.

*I apologize if none of this makes sense, my dog is demanding that I play endless fetch.*

as soon as Eve entered into dialogue with the serpent, she seems to have been
brought under his power/spell, and therefore she started embellishing, and they
were both were drawn-away by their own LUST - just one more way of looking at it...
even though they both 'walked/talked' with God, obviously they both had
the same human 'traits' as we do today...

there's an 'old Jewish saying, we are all like Adam and Eve'.
I agree, but I also agree she added to the command....remember man doe snot live by bread alone, but every word that proceeds from the mouth of God...

also considering that she was the Mother of all living and how beautiful her descendants are and that God fashioned her by hand from dirt and a rib bone, I would argue that she likely was the most beautiful woman on Earth.
can you imagine? all the gene codes for eyecolor and hair and skin tone originated with Adam and Eve. I wonder what color her eyes were.

She did tell Satan more than what God had said to Adam, but we do not know that Adam did not say those things to Eve. It seems she believed God had also said "do not touch."

The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'"

I have not heard their teachings before... but it is something that became a well known practice within Judaism, which contributed greatly to the terrible letter of the law they had to follow, such as not even picking up a mat on Sabbath because that was considered work. I have heard the idea is called "putting a hedge around." It is meant to protect but just goes to ridiculous extremes as we can easily see, and the result is a legalism that Jesus spoke against often to those that promoted such things, those people being largely the scribes and Pharisees.
Bevere defines communicated bible knowledge, as knowledge that you gain from someone else who has read or heard from God and you do not study, or check it out for yourself...his example is that many teach the root of all evil is money....not true...the love of money is the root of all evil...

the other type of knowledge he defines as divine revelation knowledge which is knowledge you personally gain from, reading/studying the word and hearing from the Holy Spirit yourself...

He illustrates that Adam was commanded not to eat of the tree or they would die, and he wondered, not stating a fact that Adam told Eve...hey, that tree over there do not touch, eat it or anything or we die....communicated knowledge...

Good or God is his best study besides Bait of Satan, which is his best work.

It all originated in the dust of the ground (the elements of the earth) after being fashioned into the man (Adam) out of whom Eve was removed. Of course it is God's breath that animated the elements and gave us life...

An interesting detail to take note of here is that the commandment was not given to Eve directly but to Adam, for Eve was not yet made when God instituted that stipulation in relation to the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Another is the fact that we do not know why Eve added to it by saying they must not touch the tree, as well as not eating of it. Men may of course say Eve added that all by herself, when it is just as possible that Adam added that when he told Eve. We simply are not told.
true indeed Adam was the one God told not to eat from the tree, IMO I think Adam told Eve as well about that tree, then again as you have stated it's not mentioned, so God could have said this to Eve later on as well, but reading and knowing how God's ways are, not all the time God comes to every person, If this was so there wouldn't be any need for prophet's etc.

God will use a person for a message delivery and then it's up to the people to believe it's from God, many times in the OT people did not believe in the prophet's words even though they knew they were a prophet, I fine it interesting how someone can say this man is a prophet yet don't believe the words they say. The deciples were kind of like that a little bit sort of, they believed Jesus was the Son of God yet struggled with believing every word He said, over and over He explained the resurrection and shown examples of it yet after it happened they didn't understand what had happen it took awhile for it to dawn on them, what does Thomas say "I won't believe it until I place my fingers in the hole of His side". That Old saying you can lead a horse to water but you can't make the horse drink.

Eve was the one who got deceived by the serpent for the serpent spoke of a truth and lie at the same time, this is why the serpent was punished as well for that action that happened at the tree of knowledge of good and evil, the serpent did just that, So three were punished, the man, the woman, the serpent.

Some people think evil can't speak of truth that is of a misunderstanding, example of this is when Jesus came around a demon, the demon would use words like " Jesus the Son of God" I'm one who believes this is a truth.

It's sad that people (men??) keep quoting 1 Tim 2:14, which Paul wrote, but keep forgetting he also wrote Romans 5:12:

"Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned—" Romans 5:12

Please note, verse 14 identifies this "man" by name and it is Adam! I agree Eve is certainly culpable, but in fact, Adam's disobedience is cited here as the reason sin entered the world.

Satan often mixes a bit of truth in with the lie, which goes a long way to deceiving people...

I think a Christian-jewish woman with a 666 in her credit card number who believes the earth is flat should wear a head covering if she has a chip implanted in her hand, otherwise no......:D

The dust of the ground doesn't carry human code. God wrote the DNA code, All of the various eyecolors and hair colors started with the codes in Adam and Eve. God wrote the codes, breathed life into them and set the way for more people to be made from those codes.

Doesn't any of that just tickle you pink?
ok that was cheesy, even for me. But seriously, get your heads out of books and internet once in a while and learn to be amazed and filled with wonder at the work of His hands.

I particularly dislike the floppy hairstyle, shaved on both sides. A few years ago men were wearing shoes that were long and pointed at the toe. I dont know if you remember it. I joked with my husband that I was going to buy him a pair. He wears size 14, I might just as well buy him canoes.rofl You can dress with style without dressing IN the style. Not that I care much for style or name brands. Im often asked where I get my clothes and I just smile and keep the secret and let them think it cost big dollars when its from Wal-mart.lol lol
I hated those shoes.....never bought them....I am know for wearing cargo pants and camp shirts...

Exactly, it came from God, not Eve. Even Eve was drawn from Adam. Adam was created by God from the elements of the earth, and given life by God.
