hey guys…im sort of new here and i need some advice. advice from any person willing to give me some
you see im in a long distant reationship with a guy in italy and no one knows bout it. not even my parents. we've been writing to eachother for like a year now and we're truly in love and there seems to be nothing in our way. is it right for me to keep it a secret from my parents? im afraid they wont like it. thanks for reading. hope to get some answers.

because i know people who been tricked by people they knew much longer than you have known this person


youre too young to be in a relationship

and i dont believe youre capable of knowing if youre in love with him with such little interaction


also if youre parents wouldnt like it... and youre keeping it from them

what youre doing is pretty much lying

they wouldnt like it because chances are they have your best interest in mind

when youre only focused about your hearts desires from the sounds of it

Yep,if they care about you,they will not be happy campers.

Do some research. Those internet romances have a huge propensity for being disasters.

You are not cautious. You need suspicion.

1) This guy could be anywhere. Including next door to you.
2) He could be any age
3) He could have your destruction in his sights.

...and so on.

Btw,how old are you? Are you 14?

Wait for a real relationship.

Relationships are complex. You need some time under your belt.

yeah…around that age.
he doesnt seem to be any of those suspicious things you mentioned. this one is so different. he's a christian and i have absolute assurance he is not someone to be cautious about. he hasnt even asked for my address or something like that. its totally not what most people would expect

I met my husband when I was only 16 years old and
it was real love and it worked out great.

Every relationship is different.

If he is a Christian,he has to have a pastor.

That pastor can be contacted through a legit church website.

well, i guess you guys are right. i have to figure out a way to tell my parents. but i still dont understand. even thought my parents have no idea…how am i lying to them? i mean, i really respect them. but i just dont really think im causing them harm

Seeing how you are only 15 years old I would say that your seriously going down the wrong road. Yes, I can understand you being hesitant in telling your parents. My advice is to focus on your studies and enjoy the single life for a few more years before even contemplating entering into a long term relationship. There is love and then there is puppy love. These feelings will pass, sooner rather than later. Glad to have you join us. Welcome to CC.

well, i didnt think i was that young. most people believe im capable at this age…i look as if im 18. but i get your point. i should be focusing on my studies instead of being in this situation. ill have to think about it… what is the appropiate age? 16? 18?
